When traveling to a different state I LOVE to visit local coffee shops! This place was the cutest corner coffee shop! The ladies working there were so welcoming and so friendly! The shop was beautiful sadly I didn't get to take pictures towards the back of the shop but it was decorated so cute! The drinks purchased were all amazing and tasted perfect. They had a homemade lavender syrup that if I could buy and bring back home with me I would!

Cute coffee shop on the corner with cool painted murals on brick inside. Friendly baristas and the Coffees were great and they have lots of food options as well. We had the bacon burritos which were a tad spicy, but I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food.

The chai is still fantastic. We brought our son over for their annual pumpkin painting event, which was delightful as always. Thanks for being such a great part of our neighborhood, Cherry Bean!!

When you walk in, you can immediately tell this place is homey and welcoming. From the service to the decorations. They have a nice little menu of food and smoothies (breakfast sandwiches all day!!). The cinnamon brown sugar syrup in any coffee is just a must.

I'm obsessed with this spot. I probably visited over ten times last month LOL let me tell you why I love it. 1. Quality drinks. Add ons to drinks- the salted caramel latte with CBD (iced) is my go-to. I will gladly pay $9 for coffee from here. Like take my money pls They also have a huge variety to pick from! 2. All the food I've tried has been 10/10. From the breakfast sandwiches to the avocado toast- just YUM. 3. Cutie spot to work from! And good wifi. Not super quiet but that doesn't bother me lol also has outside seating. 4. Staff and service- staff is always warm and kind. Service is super quick. They don't allow dogs inside but you can sit outside with your pup like I did :) Will def be returning. You should check it out too!

Loved this coffee shop. The cortado was fantastic; and I tried the breakfast burrito from the recommendation of our friendly baristas. The pork breakfast burrito was so delicious. I'm excited to return and get it again.

Ok firstly churro croissant?? I saw that when ordering ahead and thought ummm I clearly need to try. Well my expectations were low; not because I didn't have faith in this coffee shop but I just figured it would be a croissant dusted with cinnamon and sugar no big deal. Boy was I ever wrong. Yes it was still dusted with cinnamon and sugar but it was also filled with the most delicious lime custard? Which when you think of it all together: flaky buttery pastry, rich flavorful custard and cinnamon sugar dusting it's pretty heavenly. If you're on the fence about trying it let this be your sign that you absolutely need this in your life. Regarding the coffee; I got an iced latte with oat milk. Anytime I see lavender on the menu I absolutely must order it as it's one of my favorite flavors ever; and naturally when you pair that with vanilla it's a match made in heaven. This was no exception. A truly wonderful vanilla lavender latte! The oat milk made it extra creamy and you can tell the quality if the coffee is top notch from the flavor. I would order this latte again and again and I guess my only qualm is that I don't live closer to make this a reality lol. Either way I'll definitely be stopping in again when I'm in the neighborhood.

Trying the great flavors of horchata in this beautiful 61 degree Denver day

Loved the hot horchata latte with oat milk. Especially when it cooled down a bit. Great flavor. Inside is nice and a great local spot near my Airbnb for the weekend. Didn't have time to go a second time before catching a flight out.

Latte, Smurf latte, and Chagaccino Latte
Sarah B.

Great vibe and Amazing drinks! The espresso is amazing, and so are the oat milk lattes. And so creative too. For example, we orded the Smurf, and it was DELICIOUS. It includes Blue butterfly pea flower, blue spirulina, organic ginger, organic cinnamon, organic nutmeg, organic clove, organic ashwaganda, organic maca, organic astragalus root and sea salt, coconut almond milk and extra virgin coconut oil, honey.

Matcha Latte
Keysha D.

The atmosphere is better than the drinks! I got a matcha latte, and there are many different kinds of matcha theirs is more on the tart side. It Wasn't sweet even adding a pack of raw sugar. My friend got some loose tea which is cool they set a timer for you to let it steep. The people who worked there were super knowledgeable about the tea and the plants inside the shop. It was really cute inside and so would go back and try some more of their loose teas when it's less hot outside!

Businessmen getting breakfast before a meeting, young couples, and friend groups would all feel comfortable dining here. Breakfast was delicious and came out quickly. Hostess was attentive and friendly. Steak was tender but lacked seasoning, not a big deal. Loaded tots are to die for, you need to get these with your meal, you won't regret it. Would recommend if in the area, but nothing to go out of your way for. 8.5 out of 10 would recommend.

Upon doing so, you notice they've added two unusual changes -- a 2% "restaurant impact fee" and a 1% "kitchen staffing fee." We were told that the fee helps pay the kitchen staff because the wait staff doesn't share tips with them. We asked to have it removed and were told it cannot be removed. This is a problem based on principle and nothing else. There are costs associated with running a business. Pay your employees properly so that these fees don't need to be added. Be honest about it -- increase the cost of menu items if necessary -- but don't add HIDDEN fees! It makes you look slimy and dishonest. At the very least, remove the fees when your customers don't want to pay them. This really pales our opinion of this place. It's irritating and embarrassing for everyone, including the wait staff who have to explain the fees to the patrons, and in this case, receive a smaller tip.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.
