Front of fat boy's favorite kabob hangout
    Antonio M.

How does a fat boy train his body to get back into shape for running a 10-mile race? Does he use the Galloway method? No... Does he hire a trainer? Nope... Does he cut out all fatty food? Hell NO! This fat boy goes to Cherry Blossom and indulges his love of kabobs with all-you-can-eat goodness with such reckless abandon it will make you say, "Daaaaaaaaaamn boy, slow down!" Ever since our friends told us about Cherry Blossom, we were intrigued and knew we had to visit any place with an all you can eat (AYCE) kabob buffet. We were not disappointed by our first or any of our subsequent visits as the food is always fresh and there is SO much more than just kabobs. The variety of food is so amazing and is only dwarfed by the sheer quality and freshness of the ingredients. Vegetarians are welcome at this Carnivore Mecca as the Afghan cuisine has many veggie friendly dishes for our grazing friends to enjoy. Mooo :-) The price for the lunch buffet is amazing ($9.99) which is a real deal compared to what you actually get for that price. You get fresh bread, amazing entrees and even some sweet buffet desserts to enjoy. I love how you can come to Cherry Blossom every day and can enjoy different dishes as the cooks change up their offerings. The only constant items on the buffet menu are the chicken and ground beef kabobs which are t-a-s-t-y goooood. I usually stuff my face with the fresh bread, yogurt sauce and chicken kabobs. My twins love the variety of rice they have and often scarf down a few bean entrees or veggie fare as I enjoy all the meaty goodness. The restaurant is amazingly clean and beautiful (not that I judge a place on their decor) but it adds to the thought, "Damn, all this for $9.99?!?!" Yes donkeys, it's that good. We love Cherry Blossom so much that we hosted our monkeys' 2nd birthday party there. It was an AMAZING way to not have to worry about prepping, cooking, and cleaning and could focus on our boys. Plus the staff was so kind and welcoming that it made our little party of 20+ people a resounding success. I'm telling you, if Cherry Blossom was any closer to us I'd weigh 500 lbs as I would eat there everyday. Why pay $10 to eat at a fast food place when you can pay the same amount and get some quality food. So far everyone we've taken there has raved about the food and has come back on their own. So 10-miler be damned, I'm stuffing my face with AYCE kabobs whenever I'm in Sterling, VA. :-)

This was my first visit to cherry blossom restaurant. I tried the dinner buffet at $15.99. At first it appears that the buffet selection is quite small, but as soon as i started sampling the food i did realize it was quality over quantity. Every single dish tasted great to me, probably the only exception was the cabbage which seemed a bit oily. But the kabobs, chicken curry dishes, rice, soup, vegetables, even the salad dressing was on point and tasted wonderfull. I will definitely be visiting again. Only suggestion is for the servers to be more attentive in removing the dirty dishes. They seemed a bit slow. Also, there is a 18% gratuity charge for parties of 9 or more. Not sure why since it is a buffet. Hello restaurant owners..?? So go there, eat kabobs, and like my review. Hopefully you too will have a great dining experience.

Cherry Blossom breaks the stereotypes of the hole-in-the-wall kabob joints, as they include a full bar and an elegant banquet hall in their restaurant. They serve only a buffet (no menu items), and keep consistent to the same dozen or so items. Ironically, the meat is halal, even though they serve alcohol. However, for $11, this is a good deal. The food is fresh, high quality, and recently, they improved their level of service. An upscale, clean place for a traditional Afghan buffet. Not bad, not bad at all.

    Love this place..always delicious..

Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

One of our friends was arriving late, so before the buffet closed, we put some food on a plate and simply asked for another plate to cover it so we could save it for him. The manager immediately became rude and accused us of trying to take food outside. We explained that we were not taking food out of the restaurant--we were only saving some food for a friend who had not yet arrived. Despite our explanation, the manager dismissively told us, "Go, go sit over there. You can't take food." Because of this interaction, one member of our group posted a Google review describing what had happened. Apparently, the manager read it and became even more upset. Later, one of our friends was sitting on a chair near the restaurant's photo booth when the manager approached and rudely told him to get up. He specifically said, "You wrote this review? Now you can't sit here, get out." At that point, the situation had become so uncomfortable that our entire group decided to leave. We later learned that the manager had told the next party to arrive at 3:00 PM, even though our event space was reserved until 4:00 PM. The next group was left waiting outside for us to leave. They seemed pretty frustrated too. The manager's behavior throughout the event was unprofessional, confrontational, and disrespectful. What should have been a joyful graduation celebration turned into an unpleasant experience. We will not be coming back and cannot recommend this restaurant based on how we were treated.

Horrible experience.
