That alone says so much about how much we love living here. I truly feel safe and secure in this community, which is such an important thing for me. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. They always greet you with a smile and are patient whenever you have questions (or call them multiple times like me.) The office gals, Leah, Allison, and Jackie (and I know there is another floater but I can't recall her name right now) are especially sweet and understanding, which makes such a difference in my experience here. They take the time to plan different events for us as residents to help build community and I love and appreciate that so much! Maintenance is also amazing..always timely, professional, and so helpful. We absolutely love Gus!! He's the best and always makes sure everything is taken care of quickly and with care. Paloma really feels like home to us. We're so happy we chose to stay and upgrade instead of leaving. Highly recommend living here!

I appreciate how much they do to upkeep the community + how quickly they respond if there are any questions or issues. The maintenance team is friendly + always on top of all maintenance issues! LOVE the fact that the apartments are modern + updated + have a washer + dryer IN UNIT! The area is mostly quiet + secluded; you will definitely hear trains + airplanes at night as we're pretty close to the airport. Make sure you give yourself a few weeks for the approval process. Plan ahead so you're not last minute scrambling to hear back. I definitely remember I called the office to check for an update multiple times in the process because I didn't give myself enough time LOL The property is also really pet-friendly! It nice seeing all the residents out + about with their pets :)

Their manager also told me flat out that they probably will use all of it for cleaning so don't bother cleaning at all, despite giving any reason why so much has to be used for it. After months of back and forth I was told that since they used the majority of it for "cleaning" they weren't planning on sending me the balance of what was owed to me since it wasn't much. I still have the emails and screenshot with timestamps of them admitting theft. The dollar amount is irrelevant, it's still MY money. They broke many laws during this process and just tried gaslighting me into letting them keep it. Horrible and deplorable.

I lived in this community for 1 year, and recently moved out…read more Pros: 1. Maintenance is usually on time and very helpful 2. Parking isn't an issue, it's usually pretty easy to find spots. Cons: 1. Expect a major, major struggle to receive your deposit back. When I moved out, I was charged $750 for liquid damage underneath the carpet. While we did have pets during our lease here, they have never had an accident on the carpet - I would have known (and likely would not be writing this review!), and there would be some visible damage to the carpet if so, even if we cleaned it up. There would be no way to fix this damage before moving out without ripping back the carpet ourselves, the carpet wasn't new when we moved in, and property management is clearly taking advantage of us in this situation. Management would not rip back carpet unless they were already going to replace it for the next tenant. Additionally, $750 is an outrageous fee for patches UNDER the carpet with liquid damage. I have been contacting the office for two weeks to try to talk to someone about this but associates keep telling me they'll get their manager to help me out - and the manager never does. It took an angry phone call today where I stopped being professional and nice for someone to listen and actually make an appointment. It may take legal action to get my money back here, since staff is not prioritizing my concern. 2. The leasing office is incredibly hard to call / contact. Most times, when I try to call, no one picks up and I am left with a patronizing "Sorry, we missed your call" note with no way to leave a message. 3. The gates do not close, ever. Safety is a major concern - why does this community have gates if they are never in use? The leasing team answers this question by saying "technically, we are not a gated community." 4. My car was dented while it was parked in a spot and the leasing office team was not helpful at all - the associate I spoke with said that he didn't know where the cameras were located on the property. This should be basic knowledge for staff. 5. Maintenance on random amenities during peak months. During the summer of 2025, the pool near my unit was under maintenance for maybe 1-2 months. Why perform long-term maintenance on the pool during the hot summer months? 6. It is really dusty in this area. I had to wash my car way more often while living here than in my new place or in any prior apartments. 7. (About the renovated apartments) - the building materials they use are incredibly cheap. The shower tile / glaze they use gave me cuts in my hands while trying to clean it because it would flake off so easily. The counters chipped with regular use. The dishwasher in our unit was falling out of place. When we moved in, the dryer vent wasn't even connected to the outside, leaving our apartment humid and uncomfortable every time we ran the dryer. Maintenance did fix this. I would not recommend renting with Citrine Hills. Management staff can be nice and polite, but when it comes to the things that matter about an apartment, this property missed the mark for me on almost all fronts. I am so glad to be out of here.

Similar story about the 30 day notice as someone else had posted. I got a job in Atlanta. So I went…read moreto the office and talked to Maria about terminating my lease. I wasn't sure what my start date was so I couldn't give the notice at that time. She was suppose to email me a form for the termination. Guess what? She never did. I went back to the office when I got my official start date in Atlanta. She told me she didn't have the form (how funny) and I could give her a written notice. I went to my apartment and wrote and notice and gave it to Maria. Fast forward my last week at the apartment, I get a call from Maria that they should have received the fee to break my lease at the time I dropped off the letter. Well guess what they had to wait because my company was transferring the funds to my account. Not a problem. Also, Liz had no idea that I even put my notice in because Maria never put it in the system. And I still don't know to this day where she put my notice. Fast forward to now, my job lagged super hard on getting me the funds. I log in to see if I can pay online and my total is almost 5k. When I look at the fees, they charged me for this month (month of March) even though my 30 day notice has the 7th on there. I was confused because when I talked to Liz she said I was to pay the termination fee and the prorated amount for the 7 days. So why are you charging me for a full month. Not only that I received an email for next month for an additional $700. I sent a email to Maria asking why my total was so high. I explained that I went online to pay and my total isn't correct. And I'm not paying anything until they correct my total. Well guess what?!! Maria never responded. And my access to the site to pay was removed after I sent the email. This place is a scam. And it's a shame because I was there for a little over a year and a half and I really didn't have any issues or problems with my apartment or the leasing staff. Liz has always been great. But Maria is the worse. She seems to know nothing. Because of that I would never recommend this place. First of all I know it's California and everything is expensive but the price is not worth what the apartments look like inside or outside. I seen people talk about roaches. I've never had that issue. Just spiders which should be expected since it is an older complex. But these games with my final fees is Crazy. Beware is all I can say.

Stay away from this apartment complex…read more The biggest issue isn't the apartment itself--it's the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to accommodate residents when problems arise. Before signing our 18-month lease, we made it clear that we would eventually have two vehicles and asked to be placed on the waitlist for a second parking space. At no point were we told how long the waitlist actually was. After moving in, one person told us we were 10th and then we found out we are 23rd on the waitlist. Management's only solution? Pay $10 every single night to park in visitor parking until a space becomes available. That's roughly $300 per month on top of our rent, even though we were fully prepared to pay the normal monthly parking fee for an assigned space. Had we been told the truth about the parking situation before signing, we would have made a different decision. This is the kind of information prospective residents deserve to know upfront--not after they've signed a lease and moved in. We tried to work with management, explained our concerns, and asked for reasonable accommodations. Unfortunately, we were told there was no temporary solution other than continuing to pay daily parking fees while waiting behind 22 other people. If you're considering living here, ask every question you can about parking and get the answers in writing before signing anything. In our experience, management was not transparent about the reality of the parking situation and not accommodating when we asked for help. I cannot recommend this community based on our experience.
