Review Highlights - Cherry Grill

We went on a Thursday evening and the poor place had an unexpected rush (I'm talking 20 sit downs and at least 10 takeouts in 30 mins for a small three man crew) yet maintained the speed of the food.

Tender and perfectly cooked roast beef on rye. Many orders of Matzoh Ball soup. Mmmm mmm good! Corned beef sandwich was also tender and delicious. sooo full and content. You OWE it to yourself to come here and experience old time deli delivered with excellence.

Large display cases showing their wares, mirrored wall that doubles its rather long and narrow dining room, and excellent personable service by Jaime, the house Blythe spirit. I went with a bowl of Cabbage Soup (just like grandma used to make) and an odd curiosity called a Hot Dog Knish (kosher garlicky frankfurter held within a large mashed potato knish). I love hot dogs and kvell for good knishes, so why not? Both were totally filling and satisfying, although one end of the sausage was hard as a rock from too much time in the heat, while the rest was fine. Just cut it off and devoured the rest. The difference between four stars and a perfect score. The lunchtime crowd appeared to be mostly single older dudes doing sit down, and older ladies doing takeaway. I guess that was normal there and based on experience with each other because they didn't interact at all, but seemed to recognize one another. And, then there was Jaime, holding the scene together as she greeted, served, cashiered and smiled at everyone. Very adept. But for the distance from Bucks, I could become a regular for Kibitz home cooking. Four idle chatting (kibitzing) Stars for this Yiddish chat room. PS. Why was this review recognized as a "Wrap Review," when no wrap was involved? PPS. Apparently, Kibitz Room closed without advanced notice shortly after I was there. Condolences!

We had about 90 minutes between doctor appointments so we stopped by Radin's for a late afternoon…read morelunch. The last time we were there was when it was still Short Hills Deli, so we were surprised to see how much the interior was changed from the previous deli. We were seated and asked to be moved to a booth instead (no issues there) as the majority of the restaurant are wood tables and chairs. Server came over and took drink orders and answered our questions about the menu with a smile. We knew the sandwiches were HUGE, so we decided to split a sandwich (regular, not oversized). We ordered cheese to be added, but when the sandwich arrived, NO CHEESE. Our server disappeared at that moment, so we asked another server to bring us the missing item. It came cold, which cost this review one star. If the cheese was done right, it would be melted over the corned beef (extra lean, which costs extra). We did enjoy our lunch (sharing is the better option) and paid our bill. As we were leaving, we decided to grab a rye bread and some bagels to go. Young dude at the counter wasn't very friendly, but that didn't bother us. Finally, we did receive a couple of chocolate chip cookies in a bag with our check. They looked delicious, but we still haven't eaten them yet (they're in our refrigerator for another time). We would return again, even though we don't live in Cherry Hill.
