Came in on a weekend afternoon early into their dinner service. We had a reservation for 2 people and we were seated right away. We ordered the Fried Calamari as our appetizer. This was large enough to share between 3-4 people, was crunchy, and I appreciated that there were more rings than tentacles. For our main course, we ordered the Gnocchi Carbonara and Pear and Avocado Salad. Both dishes were delicious without being too heavy and they were large enough that we had leftovers to take home. Stopped in to.the new location. Service was fast and friendly. The inside is casual and nice, only complaint is it's loud. The echo could use some dampers. The food was good. Fresh bread with a pesto style dipping sauce. The arancini style appetizer was good. I had the chicken parmesan. The large chicken breast was super crispy and delicious. Another great dining experience at Allora. This was our 3rd time frequenting Allora and each time we've been more than pleased with our food and the service. We had reservations at 7pm with a couple of friends and were seated as soon as we arrived just before the top of the hour. Our server who, we've had before, is personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and very patient. He was also training someone the night of our most recent visit and service didn't skip a beat. Between the four of us we decided to split 3 appetizers, each ordered an entree, and split dessert. We started with Sicilian Cauliflower which tasted good with the hot peppers and hot honey (out of our three appetizers, this is the one I'd skip because it was a little too breaded for my liking). The Allora Eggrolls were phenomenal stuffed with ground sausage and broccoli rabe served over a rich, thick blush sauce. Our final appetizer was Carciofi alla Giudia which we've had before and couldn't pass up. The artichokes are so tender and the leaves are crisped perfectly. I had a very difficult time deciding on my order for dinner, but I ultimately made a great decision with a little selling from our server. My previous two visits I had the Shrimp and Crab Fra Diablo (which I've loved so it was very difficult to pass up). My fiancé ordered it this time and was very happy with her choice. There's some heat, but it's not overwhelming. Lots of pieces of lump crab and plenty of large, cooked perfectly firm wild shrimp. I was also deciding between the chicken parm because I've heard many great things about their cutlets. Again, something I decided against but our friend did order the chicken parm and loved it. The cutlet was thin and fried so nicely. His girlfriend ordered the Rigatoni Primo and also had good things to say about her meal. With a little help from our server, I finally decided on the Allora "Prime" Pork Chop. Our server said "we're known for it" and that I wouldn't be disappointed and he couldn't have been more correct. It was right up there with the best pork chop I've ever had and was even a bit cheaper. Our server described the seasoning on the pork chop as similar to blackened seasoning. It was a bit spicy which I loved and crusted beautifully. It was firm yet tender, juicy, and the portion size was huge. Served with mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe, this was more than enough food for the average person. We finished up with mini cannoli which were good but I could barely finish mine after all the food we ordered. The food at Allora never disappoints. The price is very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the incredibly large portion sizes. It's so nice that this establishment is also BYOB as that helps keep the cost down. There's nothing like having a good glass of wine with pasta made in-house at Allora. The one thing that I've noticed during each of my visits here is that it gets very loud, but all of the positives far outweigh the noise. Excellent food and great service. BYOB makes the cost very reasonable. Seems somewhat displaced initially as this great Italian restaurant is in a strip mall but the inside ambiance is very inviting. Great for a local date night. I got the short rib special which was delicious though would have loved it even more if the scalloped potatoes were cut a tad bit thinner. We had a lovely date night at Allora. I previously emailed the chef about allergies and he was extremely helpful and alleviated any concerns I had. The ambiance is quaint and cozy and it wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday evening. The service was friendly and didn't feel rushed. Our meals were fresh and flavorful and the espresso was bold and a great way to end the meal. We love that the restaurant is BYOB, making our bill very manageable. After 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and an espresso, we paid $90 before tip. We will be back! Had dinner there 2/23/26. Waited over half hour past our reservation time. Finally seated. Food was exceptional for the various choices at our table of 10. Biggest problem was the incredible noise! You can't have any sort of conversation at all. Frankly it was so loud it made our ears ring. Group ordered the clams casino, veal parmesan, veal San Marco and I reordered the salmon allora again. Everything tasted great, but we all agreed that it needed a punch. Lacked a bit of flavor. We went to try Allora the other night on New Years Eve and it was packed! We actually were seated right on time which was surprising, because there was a massive amount of people waiting who had reservations when we got there. Every table was taken and it was so loud in the restaurant. We ordered the rice balls to start and they were okay, however there were peas inside which really threw us off. The bread basket they gave to us wasn't fresh bread and tasted like one of the loafs you could get at Shoprite. The pesto dipping sauce that came with the bread was tasty! For entrees we had the Meghan's Shrimp & Crab Meat Fra Diablo and the Rigatoni Primo. My dish had lots of big shrimp and was in a spicy red sauce. It was decent, but nothing special. It was a very large portion though for both dishes, so we took home leftovers. My fiance's dish, the rigatoni, had too many sun dried tomatoes and lacked flavor. We were glad we tried Allora, but may choose another Italian spot the next time we go out. read more

This was not a good dining experiences. We came on a Friday night around 6:30 pm, we were still waiting for our food as I'm writing this at 8:02 pm. This gem is a hidden secret with fresh salads, wonderful entrées. Haven't had a bad served here. Last time I have the beach salad, it looks like had too much dressing on it, but didn't taste overly tangy or dressed like some salad dressings, the short ribs and risotto were amazing. The sautéed zucchini along with it was delicious. My husband seafood fra Diablo had really tender, gorgeous big shrimp. My son devoured his chicken Parm kids meal. they have a nice menu for kids and it's great for family, friends, small parties, date night. Quality of food at Allora's new location continues to be excellent. Unfortunately the abundance of hard surfaces cause the volume of noise to be exceptionally loud and echoey. The night we were there, only 6 tables were occupied - even so, the noise level made it difficult to enjoy conversation with friends at our table. While staff was pleasant, it took awhile to get menus and have our order taken. Also, the kitchen does not seem to be running efficiently. Our table, along with others, experienced longer than normal times between courses. Dinner was well over 2-1/2 hours. With several quality Italian restaurants in the area, I would chose one that offers atmosphere and better service. read more

My family and I went to the newer location on Main St. Marlton for my birthday dinner because I LOVE veal parm and this place seemed to have a good offering. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was nice, if a bit loud, but I'm not sure how the restaurant can really control that; it's people enjoying food and community. We had a table of five and all dishes were enjoyed (and the veal parm was truly excellent). The only reason for a four star is that we found a small piece of plastic in my son's gnocchi, but upon pointing it out to our [excellent] server the dish was replaced with a fresh one within minutes, and also removed from the bill. "Stuff" just happens in this kind of environment but these folks handled it with aplomb. At the same time, it wasn't perfect so I don't feel right giving it a 5. Allora was a delightful hidden gem in a Marlton NJ strip mall. We came here upon the recommendation of a local Uber driver- so this decision could have gone two way. Luckily, it went the right way. I opted for the Rigatoni Primo and was not disappointed. My friends equally enjoyed their dishes but everyone was looking at my plate with jealousy and remarked that they will order the Rigatoni upon our next return. It was giving Gigi Hadid and while the portions were greatly sized, I unfortunately did not even have anything leftover! We were a large party who made a reservation online. We anticipated being a little late and as a curtesy called to let them know. First bad sign, they did not have the reservation; however, they did honor it. We waited at least 20 minutes before anyone approached to take our order. The male server told us they were very busy so we had to listen to the specials because he didn't have time to repeat them. We waited 45 minutes for our food. During that time, they offered us nothing; we even had to ask for more bread because they had given us so little initially. One of us raised her hand to attract the attention of the waiter who passed her by saying he was busy. When we asked the hostess as she passed our table when we could expect our dinners, a female waitress came to the table to tell us that the hostess doesn't have that information, she does; however, she hadn't come near us to ask. When the food finally came, one of the party questioned her dinner and was told pretty sarcastically that that was what she ordered, and walked away. The food here is good, not great. And the restaurant is okay but has very bad acoustics. This is the last of many times that I've been treated what I believe to be shabbily, and wasted too much of my life waiting to be served in this restaurant. We dined here last evening for the first time. We had a 7:30 reservation and was promptly seated. The dining room volume was 10+. This is always a bad start to a meal. The server took a while to come to the table. We understand this slowness as it seems it's pervasive since restaurants are all having difficulty with staff. We ordered the fig and sausage appetizer which came with burrata cheese. The dish was overwhelmingly on the syrupy sweet side almost soupy. We also did a shared fennel and green apple salad that was disappointing since it was from the fridge and served cold. The lettuce was cold, limp , and brown. The dressing lacked any punchy flavor, no sign of fennel in the salad. We opted for the cod fish special with summer vegetables and veal parmigiana. I always asked for parmigiana to be served with a blush sauce. They were happy to do this. I happen to notice out of the corner of my eye this dish was served to the table behind ours seeing the blush sauce. The lady sitting immediately said this was not what she ordered. I knew the dish was coming right back to me after being served mistakenly. This is very bad Food running practice. The other dish was good , fish cooked well and not dry . The fish for cod was priced high at 36.00 in comparison to the other dishes on the regular menu. All in all good was ok not great the kitchen blunder was slightly unsettling since they reserved after it left the kitchen area. All in it was 108.00 with gratuity for two people one appetizer and one salad no dessert. This restaurant is a byob option. read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time today! When first sitting down, The atmosphere was a little bizarre. It seems like the place just opened up, but unfortunately, I was informed that it's been there for 10 years. It's just not the atmosphere you would expect from a family owned Italian restaurant, it was brightly lit, and a menagerie of peculiar decorations. We were pretty hungry, so we ordered apps right away. We ordered the brussels sprouts and the mussels appetizer. While we waited we asked for bread. The apps came out and the muscles were actually pretty good! We got them in red sauce. The brussels sprouts tasted like ash, and they lacked any kind of flavor, they complimented this dish with over cooked bacon. As we finished our appetizers, we realized we didn't received our bread! I asked the server if we got bread with our meal, she informed us that they were cooking it right now. We didn't mind waiting for fresh bread. When we received our entrées I gave my sister "the look" and I tried to choke back my tears. We chose positivity for the day, so we decided to take our first bites. I had the rigatoni Primo and it was pretty much just rigatoni with a geometric fuckton of sundry tomatoes. The sausage was overdone and dry, and I couldn't find the blush sauce. The only moisture in the dish was from the sun-dried tomatoes. I really don't even think sauce was on it. I'm moving onto my sister's dish, she had the tortellini. And it was pretty much just peas and Velveeta cheese, again, The pair this dish with the bottom of a leather shoe a.k.a. the crusty prosciutto. The bread finally came out, I still have no idea why it took so long. It was just a cold sliced French baguette from aldi. Obviously unsatisfied, The bus girl asked us if we needed boxes, we replied "no thank you" with our plates completely full. She took the dishes away. When the waitress came back and asked us how it was, when we informed her that we were not happy with the meal. She said "oh you should've told me, I would've took it off the bill or something". She then offered us dessert or espresso, we took an espresso and cappuccino. They were fine! Then she brought us the bill, she said "the espresso is on me" and charge his full price for everything. The bill was 83, we tipped 17 so we weren't shorting the server, but what a disappointment. I did speak to the owner afterwards, and he said they really never get complaints. Allora, please, please bring back the Roman Artichokes! We love Allora. We come here often and have tried just about everything on the original menu but recently they updated their menu and took a few favorites off. Most notably the Roman artichoke appetizer in the most delicious garlic alio-olio sauce. The artichokes are now called Carciofi alla Guidia which is just the crispy artichokes in a Romesco sauce that was just ok. We probably would not order them again. The other favorites missing are the Braised beef, Rigatoni Manza and Short Rib medallions. We get it, short ribs are expensive but boy were they yummy. Everything else we had including the Chicken Italiano and the new Allora Caprese salad with crispy eggplant were excellent as well as our server Laura. read more

We've been coming here for years and the food is top notch. Reading some of the reviews makes me wonder what these people are on. Yes it's loud when it's busy but they plan on moving the restaurant soon so you just have to deal with it as the food is worth it. The pork chop is amazing, the salmon, sausage and fig, and suppli are all fantastic. Mark is a top notch chef and owner. Meghan is a great server and as most can imagine over the past 2 years, it's hard to find consistent service so I'm sure there have been instances where it wasn't perfect but again the food people. It's amazing. The door dash guy who reviewed this place because of a bad chef (who is now no longer working there) who was rude is just ridiculous. You don't rate the restaurant for that. Call the owner. It has nothing to do to with the food and the service. Go to this place and sometimes expect a wait. read more
