We had our son's Communion luncheon here last Sunday and it was great! Gia was so friendly and responsive and more than easy to work with for the planning. We always wanted to host a party in their courtyard and the outside space was perfect for our crew of about 40 people-both adults and kids. There were plenty of tables and room to mingle, having an inside room reserved for us as well. Our 2 servers were very attentive, always asking if anyone needed anything and accommodating even our crazy kids. We had the caesar salad, gorgonzola salad, penne vodka, orichette, chicken parm & veal saltimboca-it was all SO delicious! The shrimp pancetta app, meatballs & chicken cutlets for the kids were also big hits. We had our rehearsal dinner here over ten years ago and in more recent years have had their catering trays on many occasions. We've always said how good the food is! What a fantastic event! I have never had more delicious chicken Parm in my entire life. My servers were exceptional, and the owner of the restaurant, Gia, in charge of banquets was attentive, professional, and we could not have asked for a better place to host our bridal shower. The entire room was set up perfectly, she went over and beyond to make sure that we knew the seating table arrangements ahead of time and had everything we could've asked for. My husband and I have been going to the Collingswood location for 10+ years for our Anniversary and for Valentine's Day. It was always a special place for us. We've introduced many friends to this restaurant over the years and have had many family parties here. We had reservations for tonight, Feb 14th 2026- we got there and they told us we couldn't be seated because they were out of food. Seriously? On Valentine's night? How unprofessional and disappointing. This ruined our night- as loyal customers for so many years, this left a very bad taste in our mouth. We won't be back and we will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Maybe you should pay attention to your food ordering- or maybe you shouldn't over schedule reservations....and maybe have a manager on site to deal with situations such as this....who's in charge of the front of the house? Maybe the owner should get involved with what's happening in the restaurant? There were a lot of pissed off customers in your restaurant tonight, especially the ones who were turned away at the door even though they had reservations. So My family and I Decided to go here dinner Last night because we had such good previous good experiences before. When I tell you the Service was absolutely Horrible and the food options were awful. I wanted veal Parm They said they don't make that anymore they were out of muscles. We ordered Gnocchi Misto, Fried Calamari & Cherry Peppers, and Lobster Fettuccine. For Gnocchi Misto, we chose the Baked Gnocchi, Gnocchi Gorgonzola, and Short Rib Gnocchi. They provide complimentary bread and oil, which was nice. For the Gnocchi Misto, I never had gnocchi before, but didn't like any of the three samplers. I enjoyed the Fried Calamari, and the Lobster Fettucine took a while to come out, to the point where we thought they forgot, and even our server noted it should have already been out (our server who took our order and checked in with us throughout the service, was not the same person who brought out our food). When it did come out, we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to split the entrée into two plates, without us asking. The fettucine was quite delicious. Went to dinner with a work group, there were 10 of us. The group of servers were attentive and informative. Fried artichokes we're the star appetizer. The sauce it came with was light yet decadent and complimented the light fry of the artichokes perfectly. The artichokes were lightly crispy and not oily. Gnocchi sampler is the way to go if you can't make up your mind. Gnocchi were soft and pillowy and like little delicious clouds. My favorite was the pesto cream sauce. Risotto was perfection. One of the best I've ever had. Creamy, but with a bite. You just never wanted it to end. The scallops and lobster were also flavorful but not overwhelming. I'd return for this and any other variation of risotto they offer. Desserts: chocolate cake was way too rich for after this meal. Tiramisu was delicious, soaked in espresso, creamy, and luscious. My favorite was the limoncello cake...don't hesitate, just order it. The bright, lemony, lightness was a perfect blend to end the meal. BYOB! read more

Absolute trash. We made reservations for Valentine's Day and showed up to find no hostess and 6 other couples crowding the doorway. After about 20 minutes of everyone standing there clueless with all the servers walking past staring at us but not telling anyone what was going on, one of them came up to the front and said they weren't seating anyone else tonight. Moments before this customers were exiting saying the restaurant was OUT of ALL of the food on the menu. They then offered us a $50 gift card and ushered us out the door. Where else could we go for dinner ON VALENTINES DAY without a reservation!??! Will never be returning. read more

My husband saw a mouse when we were recently there for dinner. The menu isn't the same. Went from being a favorite restaurant to one we probably won't go back. After the Washington Twp location closed, an employee posted the following on Facebook -------- As for the 42 Freeway post shared on behalf of James Marino regarding Bistro Di Marino, I've been an employee here for over three years as a server and bartender at both the Collingswood and Sewell locations. His statement is hilarious. He didn't even have the decency to inform his employees that we would all be out of jobs--we found out about 10 minutes before the Facebook posts. Jimmy owes his employees and anyone who has ever done business with him thousands of dollars, including liquor distributors, food distributors, and more. This applies to all locations, not just Sewell. Most of us, including myself, will probably never see the money we're owed. Although Jimmy was the owner, he didn't actually run the business. There were times when we had to tell customers, "Sorry, we have no appetizers--just chicken and veal tonight," while he sat on his phone in the kitchen, begging the cooks not to walk out. He left the front-of-house staff to fend for themselves countless times. Food and liquor were constantly out of stock, and when they were purchased, it was often by the employees just to avoid embarrassment. In my time there, we went through six managers, all of whom were owed thousands of dollars. Literal 16-year-old kids were not being paid. Cooks walked out every other day because they weren't paid either. In the years I worked there, I've seen Jimmy in the restaurant maybe ten times total. He's a bullshitter who only cares about himself. The only reason I stayed was because of the staff--we went through hell together. I'm so sorry to all the customers who had to deal with us constantly being out of everything. The best part? We can't even claim unemployment because there's zero proof we worked there--no pay stubs, no paychecks. It's funny how he blames the economy while his employees remain unpaid, yet he drives around in a brand-new BMW. Not to mention no bank or check cashing place will even TOUCH a check with his name on it. Employees would drive to DE or PA just to attempt to cash a check with his name on it with hopes that the company wasn't burned by him yet. The only reason that place didn't crumble sooner was because the events coordinator held things together for as long as she could. Jimmy doesn't care that he left us all high and dry, including those of us with children and bills to pay. He couldn't even give us the courtesy of a phone call to let us know we were unemployed. We made our reservation for 10 using the Resy app. My wife and I were the first to arrive and were seated immediately. The venue is quite large and in warmer weather, has a nice outside dining area. Parking can be challenging since it's only on the street. Eddie was our server and did a great job explaining the menu and opening wine bottles. This is also BYOB. He urged us to try the gnocchi which is their signature dish. We ordered 2 Gnochi Misto of different flavors (total of 6 flavors) including short rib. The gnocci itself was very flavorful and not too dense. My wife liked it so much, she ordered the Gnocchi Pomodoro as her main dish. No leftovers either. I ordered the Capellini Bambina which came in a light white wine and garlic sauce over the cappelini, shrimp and chunks of crabmeat. No leftovers. Everyone loved their meals. Even the bread with the bright green pesto dip was great. Since we were celebrating a birthday, we opted to get some dessert. They had only 1 slice of the chocolate cake left which went to the birthday couple. We also had the NY Cheesecake. The restaurant comped us on the chocolate cake since they ran out. We also had the Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake which was awesome. For a group of 10, they don't include the tip as most restaurants to. They do charge a 3% fee for credit cards. Food was incredible! All of the sauces were the best part of every dish. You can tell they put a lot of love onto the plate! We hadn't been back in a few years, but remembered how good the gnocchi was and decided it was time to back for a date night. They have a gnocchi sampler option (choose 3 styles) that is a MUST. It was a beautiful night, so we sat outside and the patio is super cozy. Our service was excellent - we were really enjoying the night out and didn't feel rushed and our server gave great recommendations. The chef came out at the end of our meal and gave us house made (and very delicious) chocolate cello, which was the perfect end to a great meal! We gave Bistro Di Marino another try last night after a disappointing dinner in the past. This was our experience. First stale bread as hard as a rock was brought to our table. Then several items on the menu were unavailable. We both ordered a Ceasars salad which was without enough dressing to even taste! We also sharred an eggplant appatizer that we were told was new to the menu. Although it was tasty, it was delivered on half of the stale bread with barely any eggplant on it. The entrees were enjoyable. I had the lasagna and my husband had a pasta dish that has been on the menu a long time. After dinner we had dessert which was good. So happy we decided to eat at Bistro Di Marino tonight. We used to come here often before children. Tonight my husband and I brought our small children. The backyard was so beautiful and enjoyable. Our appetizers and children's pasta was out within minutes. Service was excellent with server Blane. We ended with a sweet cheesecake and a slice of chocolate cake. We have been coming here for at least 5 years for special occasions- birthdays, anniversaries, etc. The food is consistently delicious- especially the gnocchi- and the chocolatecello nightcap is the best- like alcoholic chocolate milk. Went here for Valentine's Day last night. After we arrived we were then told it was a "pre-fix menu" for the night. The first course was a sloppy put together antipasto and no bread was offered, we had to ask. The second course was 7 pieces of gnocchi that had way too much pepper. For the main course we were only offered chicken or salmon because they "ran out" of the meat option. There also no dessert because that wasn't "delivered" on their truck that day. The pre-fix cost was "discounted" to $60 a person but we still left hungry and unsatisfied. It was our first time at this restaurant and we will not be back again. Perhaps I was expecting to be wowed based on all the great reviews and recommendations but I felt the food was very good but didn't blow me away. The meal started with complimentary glasses of champagne as we mentioned it was our anniversary on the reservation. That was a really nice touch. Note that this place is BYOB which is always a plus as you can spend more on food than drinks. We started with the gnocchi misto which is an appetizer sampler of any 3 of their gnocchi offerings. We chose eggplant, pomodoro, and gorgonzola. The sauces were all tasty and gnocchi was decent. Warm bread with a pesto oil was provided for the table and it was fantastic. I had to hold back on eating too much of it for fear I'd have no room left for the main course. I ordered the lobster bisque soup and paid an extra $5 for some lump crab on top. The soup was average amd there wasn't a lot of crab on top. My main course was one of the specials which was clams, mussels, shrimp, and octopus over linguine in a fra diavolo red sauce. The dish was delicious and the octopus was cooked perfectly. Everyone else in our party of 6 enjoyed their meals but again I don't think anyone was amazed. The atmosphere inside was nice with exposed brick walls and a big glass window facing the street. Strangely the walls were bare with no pictures or decorations. I did take a peek at the back courtyard which unfortunately was closed for a private party when we were there. I would recommend eating out there if you can. All in all I will probably try some of the other highly rated restaurants in the area before returning here. read more

A hidden gem! The staff is so friendly - the indoor dining holds many tables and is large enough for an event - they are very popular though with many regulars so it gets quite crowded. Make sure to make a reservation for large gatherings. The outdoor seating is so fun and festive. I love going there with my husband and friends on nice cool evenings. I would get every variety of gnocchi - OMG perfection!!! I know good Italian food - trust me my family makes all the best recipes - this is authentic and everything is delicious! But when you use cash, they don't have the change to give you. General manger said they don't keep cash on hand? General manager actually said "it's the law". Our waiter came over and put a laughable cheese plate down on the table. They then sprung a tasting menu on us which had varied odd dishes including chicken with shrimp on top and a filet stuffed with goat cheese. After the waiter came back to take our order I asked- is there a menu for this as it was not on the website. The waiter informed us that this was sprung on the staff this morning and they too had no idea. He informed us it was $60 per person and they just ran out of the filet option. We came here on Saturday night with a group. It was early, 5:15, and not crowded at all when we got there, but packed later. I had been at the restaurant a while back and the gnocchi was memorable and awesome! The eggplant gnocchi was still top notch, but we had to wait for over an hour just to get our appetizers and then another 1/2 hour to get our meals. We were there for almost 2-1/2 hours. Perhaps they were short-staffed, but I would highly recommend more chefs in the kitchen and more servers, too. I made a reservation in Opentable. My friend arrived a few minutes ahead of me and they refused to seat him until I arrived although I texted that I was parking. He had to wait in the hot front room. When I arrived two hostesses were tending to a couple so I waited too. We were seated in a room off the hot room that had better AC. We started with the trio of gnocchi as an appetizer. We ordered the Gorgonzola, short rib, and lobster. He informed us that the lobster is not available for the trio. So we got the baked as our third choice. Loved the Gorgonzola. Omg. Yummy sauce! We then split two salads. We got the Caesar and the caprese. Both we're good. I would get the Caesar again. The caprese, a very hard salad to make perfectly because it requires 3 perfect ingredients, was good but the tomatoes were meh. For my main I got the branzino and my friend got the chicken saltimboca. Both again were very good but I was getting full by this time. The dessert was incredible!!! Grilled peaches with cannoli cream cinnamon and drizzled butterscotch sauce. OMG! I have to replicate this dessert. We were the last to leave and I liked that they did not rush us out. read more
