The staff member working when we visited (his name was Howard) was really friendly and helpful. He explained about the history of the building and recommended a path through the exhibits to get the most of out of our visit. We learned about a lot about the Chesapeake - its history, the its health and recovery... We learned a lot about oysters, too. There's a fun interactive game you can play where you balance oyster harvesting and the health of the Bay that entertained us (two adults nearing 40) for a while! Then there's a small gallery with photographs of the Bay and some outdoor exhibits, too. They offer sails on a certain days as well, so check out the schedule online before you visit if that's something you're interested in. It might be small, but it's a great little museum. Definitely worth a visit on a visit or trip to Annapolis.

Outside was beautiful! Someone was even taking bridal photos there. Definitely recommend coming here with the family!

Hotel is modern, luxurious looking. .75 miles to downtown, waterfront Annapolis. 2 hours, 15 minutes to Ocean City, MD. Room: Spacious with a little couch. Refrigerator and coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee filter packs. Microwave near the ice machine. Luxurious White tea smelling bath products which reminded me of the Bulgari bath products we used to get in Celebrity suites. I took the soap which lasted me a week and still looks good - non-drying. One bottle of complementary water. Amenities: - Indoor pool and hot tub (felt hot). Nice gym - Stunning circular bar and fireplace. Drinks were pricy. - Shuttle to downtown can be picked up outside the hotel and to the right. Runs every 20 minutes on the hour. - Restaurants on-site but we went across the street to Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar which was fantastic - make reservations. Things to Note: - City garage for parking and you will need to pay by scanning the QR code with your phone to start the timer for your car (remember your license number). It took several tries to connect to the website and get it to work. When you leave, you just drive out and it recognizes your car. - Our room had a connecting door. I could hear the parents and child's talking while I were in the bathroom. This is a beautiful, comfortable hotel, and I would stay here again to visit Annapolis or on my way to Ocean City.

Being from CT, I didn't know the DC area and needed to find someone who could help me plan. I ended up calling Monumental Helicopters and a pilot there named Seth told me to call Christie who is the event planner at Whitehall. I looked up White Hall on google and fell in love with the idea of doing our proposal there. I called Christie on a Saturday and told her my plan and that I wanted to do it on Tuesday with only 3 days notice! She jumped right on board and helped me plan the entire event. She lined up a photographer, flower shop, and helped me plan the logistics (which was a very complicated scenario as it was a surprise for my fiancé and the airport was over an hour away). Again all with 3 days notice! Christie was a saint and made our dream proposal come true! We had a limo pick Amanda up at Reagan, drove her up to an airfield in College Park where Seth picked her up on the helicopter and flew her into White Hall Manor in Annapolis where I was waiting. It went without a hitch and made for an epic proposal! Thank you Christie for going above and beyond to help me plan this very special day!!

I forgot our server's name, but she provided wonderful service. She let us know that the kitchen was busy, but our food would be out as soon as possible. We started with the calamari and cream of crab soup. The calamari was the best I've ever had. The cream of crab soup was good, but it had a bit too much sherry. I got the crab cake and my husband got the halibut. Everything was so good. The only reason we would hesitate to return is the parking situation.

It took a while for our server to greet us even though he appeared to only take orders, deliver drinks, and deliver the check while food delivery were handled by a dedicated food runner. Our starter, the crab avocado stack was beautifully plated. The sweet remoulade overpowered the naturally sweet blue crab and the crispy wontons were tasty but were very oily. The beet salad had an excessive amount of raw white onions on top, but the mixed greens and beets tasted fresh. The middle of the flatbread was undercooked which was more soggy than crisp with what tasted like an unseasoned can red sauce. The Mahi Mahi Rachel was unique spin on a standard Rachel sandwich. The blackened Mahi was just okay and oddly enough, the mouth feel of the Mahi was indiscernible from the slaw. I was a bit taken back that the slaw on the Mahi Mahi Rachel contained golden raisins and what looked like cranberries - neither of which were called out on the menu. The tomato and cucumber salad side lacked seasoning despite what appeared to be flakes of "Italian seasoning".

We found on the grounds of the Naval Academy at the Navy- Marine Corps Memorial Stadium just the place. Cheryl Haendel the sales manager for Martins/ Bo Brooks Catering turned out to be the perfect hostess. The meeting facility was easy to access, incredibly well kept and had very good acoustics. In the course of setting up the meeting space Cheryl was quick to answer all of our questions, followed up within 24 hours and made sure we had everything we needed for a successful training session. The food was particularly good offering fresh selections for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike.
