Not perfect but close. We go to supper club there. Great staff and tuned in management owners that really cares. Beyond excellent food from their house catering company. Much better than any restaurant I've been to in Annapolis or on KI. A generous pour. The building itself is nice enough, tasteful and clean but low ceilings but nice lawn right on the water. We booked our wedding with the Silver Swan in late 2018 for the cool date of May 2020. We worked with Emily Paulin - Silver Swan's senior wedding coordinator - throughout what became a multi-year wedding-planning experience. When Covid arrived in the US, we had already paid the venue 80% of our contracted amount and had about 60 days to decide what to do with our wedding. We also began to hear horror stories from wedding-goers in similar situations who had their contracted amounts held hostage by venues and their lawyers. Yikes. Thankfully, Emily worked closely with us throughout April 2020 to plan for a "revised" wedding later in 2020. As wave-2 hit in July 2020, it became clear that planning for a late-2020 wedding would also be problematic. Emily again worked with us to setup the wedding for May 2021. All interactions with Emily and Silver Swan leadership were professional and efficient. Emily was on top of every step of the process and highly responsive over all communication channels - never waited more than a day for a response. This is also notwithstanding the numerous factors that we had to "re-do" with Emily, like picking out a new food menu, re-configuring guest lists, updating floor plans, etc. For our wedding day, we really weren't sure what to expect given, well, most venues hadn't been hosting large weddings for the past year. To our ultimate surprise, the wedding went off with no issues at all! Our wedding had an outdoor ceremony and dinner, with indoor dancing and cocktails. Silver Swan purchased and setup a large outdoor tent to house the dinner, which worked out very well for social distancing. Guests had a 180-degree view of the bay for most of the evening. We also lucked out with the sunset. The plated food was decent quality and Silver Swan provided a lot of food selection - everything from mini quesadillas to crab-stuffed flounder. Silver Swan's bar and serving staff were fantastic and social with the crowd. The Silver Swan is awesome. Emily is a true professional and we would recommend her for anyone looking for any form of wedding planner, event planner, coordinator, etc. Emily also worked real-time during our wedding, subbing into multiple different roles to ensure the experience was as smooth as possible. At one point, she was sprinting with multiple diner trays to support the kitchen staff - just incredible. I had the pleasure of getting married here exactly one year ago. We drove by today, on our anniversary, to check it out and it made me think to look them up on yelp. It saddens me that the only review is from someone who wasn't a customer...and from the sounds of it, hasn't even seen it in person. In my experience the food was amazing...The view was spectacular...Overall, the evening was perfect. At times, the wedding planner seemed frazzled and stretched thin, but this got better over time, as she hired assistants. We held our wedding here almost 5 years ago. I wanted to take a moment to review them on here as they really were absolutely spectacular. For starters, we planned our wedding in less than 2 months. They had a random Sunday open in August and we took it! We had a lunch reception and got to enjoy the full day. The weather was absolutely perfect and the location views are gorgeous. This place is not a "wedding factory" like some other places that hold multiple weddings at the same time or same day. They really cater to their brides and families and offer so much help. Our photographer was Dani Leigh Photography and she got fantastic shots throughout and luckily she had done one other wedding here before so she knew how lovely the location was. Everything about the venue is focused on the view so even when inside there's not a bad spot to sit! I highly recommend visiting and checking it out when looking for a personalized wedding day and staff who really care about their jobs. read more

From the time I signed our contract, to the wedding date, I had nothing but trouble to deal with. They went through three different chefs, three different wedding coordinators in about a year. Two months out, I hadn't heard from anyone, so I emailed my coordinator only to find she'd been fired, and her replacement (the owner) never bothered to reach out to me. They tried to make changes to my contract, rushed us out after the reception and we didn't get to take all of our decorations. A rental truck was delivering linens 20 minutes before my ceremony, completely blocking the small parking area, leaving no direction for my arriving guests to go. There weren't enough tables, and when a bridesmaid pointed out that it didn't match the seating chart, they threw a hissy fit when they had to change it. Decorations that were dropped off the day before were not hung, despite it being written in my contract. We were charged for two bartenders and only received one, as well as eight waiter, and only had four. To top it off, the coordinator didn't start our ceremony on time, let cocktail hour go to nearly two hours, and showed the venue to prospective clients during my ceremony and reception. The coordinator called to yell, yes yell at me because of the pricing the chef gave me for our menu. I repeatedly told her this was an issue and conversation that she should be having with her staff, not the client. She just kept yelling that it was too cheap, despite her being at the tasting, and being well aware of my exact budget. The icing on the cake...I spent three weeks requesting a final balance due. At 4:00pm on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, they gave me the balance with the option of paying cash, money order, or certified check. Did I mention I'm from California, and have an out of state bank? Yes, my wedding was beautiful, but only due planning on my part, as well as my awesome bridesmaids noting issues and correcting them before they got out of hand. Run brides. We just had our 160 person wedding at Silver Swan Bayside on Saturday. The venue is absolutely beautiful. The sunset over the water was breathtaking. I have received countless comments from guests about how lovely it was, and how attentive the staff was at the venue. The bartenders were speedy, the planners were competent and on top of everything. When I changed my mind about the timeline in the middle of the reception; Emily was able to coordinate with the dj and make it happen within seconds. I never had to ask for anything; I felt as though they anticipated my needs throughout the entire day. I can't say enough positive things about this venue. Our daughter's wedding was held on 8/10/19 at Silver Swan Bayside. The setting was gorgeous and the weather was perfect. Emily Paulin was our coordinator and she made a lot of promises that she would make everything flow smoothly and that she would make sure our daughter's wedding was unforgettable. And she delivered on every count! The staff was well trained, friendly, and attentive. Often there is at least one glitch at every wedding, but not our daughter's! Just attended on Sunday, June 24 for my cousin's wedding from Canada. Was expecting great food as I'm sure my cousin and his wife paid a 'lot' per plate. The food was mediocre at best. Our entire table was served with a variety of chicken breast and/or pork. All our meals were cold and the potatoes were so cold, the butter didn't melt. I indicated to the servers that the potatoes were cold and they brought us a plate of fresh 'warmer' potatoes. The lady beside me and another gentleman at the table were frustrated with their pork chops as they said they were 'tough' and could have used a type of 'steak knife' to cut the meat. The lady beside me left hers as she got tired of trying to cut it. Needless to say I was not very impressed. I can cook better. read more

The venue was small, but the view of the bay was beautiful. The staff was very helpful. You have to pay extra for many things , it was like an ala cart menu.You are only allowed two entree's,or pay for an extra one I had to rent beer glasses, purchase extra different types of beer. The food was horrible!! They use Flamant as their caterer. My daughters wedding at Silver Swan Bayside was on 7/27/19. The food. that we tasted was NOT what we were given. The beef tenderloin was the size of a silver dollar, and 1/4 " thick plus cost me and extra $10ppr!! The green pea risotto which was green and very good at the food tasting, was not the same that was served at the wedding.It was now white with a few peas.The crab cakes had shells in it. The childrens chicken fingers with french fries was twice the size of our dinner. Plus it was ICE COLD.. What an embarrassment! Our guests left hungry!! Don't use them to cater your meals! read more

I had my wedding reception here in April and it was amazing! The staff is great, the location is perfect, and I still have guests raving about the food! The did so much work so that my wife and I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. We told them what we wanted and they did exactly as we asked, it was perfect. They even included any kind of cake we wanted. We did the traditional top two tiers for the cake, then the rest was a mix of different flavors of cupcakes. We were told later that not many cupcakes were left because people just kept grabbing them, they were that good. The food was plentiful and they created the menu just for us. The location on the Chesapeake was great for outdoor games and such. We brought our own cornhole and bocce ball sets, and people really enjoyed it. The only reason that we are not giving it 5 stars, was because there was a couple of times the people that we were working with changed. It was a little frustrating having to go over again what we had already discussed with others and correcting things that had previously been worked out, but in the end, they wanted to make sure they had all the information correct. Overall, a great experience. I'm not sure what it is like to do a wedding here, but I highly recommend doing a reception at this location. read more
