Bottom Line: Excellent customer service, quality workmanship and a nice lounge. I recently took my car to Chesapeake Car Wash for a full detail and I was impressed with the service they provided. I arrived a bit before the official opening time and I really appreciated that I was still warmly greeted. After turning my car over to the staff I was shown to the lounge and offered complementary beverages. When it was time to retrieve my car I like that a staff member ushered me to the enclosed garage where they worked on my car so I could inspect it before driving off. I walked around the car but didn't see anything that needed a touch up. I thought my car was relatively free of "stuff" before turning it over to the staff but apparently they found plenty of junk remaining which they gathered into a white trash bag during the cleaning process. I really liked this approach because it shows they moved the clutter to clean the nooks and crannies and it gave me the opportunity to sift through my car junk and to make a decision about what to keep and what to toss. The staff was very courtesy and customer-service oriented. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be much better about getting my car cleaned in the future. read more

Literally the worst car wash I've ever been to. I paid $45 (the top service you can get) and it seems like all they did was vacuum my car. After you come out of the wash, there's just one person wiping the exterior with a towel--no one actually cleans the vehicle afterward. My rims still had dirt on them, and there were other areas on the interior that clearly hadn't been cleaned. For $45, I expected a much more thorough job. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE!!! and after reading other reviews, I realize I'm not the only one who had a terrible experience!! When I explained to the manager what had happened to my car, he immediately dismissed it, saying it wasn't their responsibility. I asked him directly, "So you don't take responsibility for what happens to my car while it's inside your wash?" and he flatly said no. He then told the young employee who was with us that he wasn't going to deal with me and simply walked away! This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The young employee who stayed with me was polite, but he kept repeating that it was my car's problem, even though he admitted that the same issue had happened to other cars there. I gave this location a try since my normal spot was closed on a Sunday afternoon. Paid $50 to get a gold wash which included, vacuum, wipe, tires shine, and getting my all weather mats cleaned. They did not vacuum my third row and cargo. There were several spots dirty in the second row and front passenger side of the car. The cars dashboard was dusty and the screens not cleaned. Windows had finger prints left behind. Tire on my car were not wiped down and shiner placed. This place is overly priced and the quality of work is poor. The supervisor requested to have me return to have them clean again. My schedule did not permit and I do not plan to go back and try this location again. No apology, no discount and no value for someone's time. This place quality of work is not worth your time and money. read more

These folks know customer service! So friendly and responsive. We stopped here on a road trip because one of the kids had an accident in the car and we needed to get it hoses out. The one thing I didn't like is that we had to buy a full package instead of skipping the car wash (which we had just done in preparation for the trip) just to get one section of mat hosed off and scrubbed. Beware that weekends are high volume, so we did have to hang out for awhile but they did bump us ahead since it was a small job. Not coming back to this place again! Went for an exterior wash. Had crow poop after parking in DC. Paid $25 for the wash. Coming out of the wash they cleaned about 70% of the dirt. When I complained they told me I should have chosen the most expensive option in their menu. So, go with a dirty car to Chesapeake Car Wash, pay them what seems like a reasonable amount for an exterior wash and leave with an incomplete wash requiring one to finish the job. The worst experience I ever had at a car wash. Was picking the top tier of car wash they offer. After my car came out of the car wash, both mirrors were bent outwards. The driver's mirror got tilted too much, and it broke. The manager came in and told me he would check the tape. He came back and unprofessionally asked me which car wash tier I chose when I replied with top tier, he could not find any excuse but saying we do not cover any damage if the car is older than 7 years!! And to add insult to injury, he is accusing me of bringing the car with a broken side mirror. Unprofessional, worst value, I do not recommend it to anyone. read more

I rarely write reviews but this was the worst experience I have ever had with a car wash. I got the second to top service which should have been a wipe down and vacuum (not expecting detail job or deep cleaning). The dash was not wiped at all it was dusty, the touch screen had finger prints all over it (clearly not wiped at all), the shifter had junk all in it, clearly not vacuumed or wiped. It was so bad, I had to call them back out to vacuum the console (clearly not wiped). Even after calling them back to do a better job it was still terrible. Paid for tire dressing which was not done. Absolute worst experience. No apology, zero concerns given. Was hoping to swing by this place while son was at practices but never again. Terrible. read more

Got the 43 dollar wash includes bug off, interior exterior tire shine wheel cleaner ceramic coat and more let's say a 10 dollar high school charity car wash is a better wash. Windows still dirty inside and out, front end still dirty, wheels still dirty, bed cover on the truck still had pollen on it. They came out and used the same dirty rags they used to wipe wheels and exterior off, film still on windows and we were told bug off on the 43 dollar wash is only something they spray on the don't clean the grill of your vehicle and our bump step cause the bed cover not to be clean and wheels have a brush inside the wash they don't clean any kinds of spokes on wheels. They finished off the wipe down by wiping windows with the dirty rags and offered to redo them again we opted for no... they also don't wipe down places they can't reach like the center of the hood back windows, door frames, door edges etc. this is a small highway only vehicle not an off road... lesson learned we won't be going back read more

This most recent visit was disappointing. I paid for a full service gold wash and they were not as thorough as the first visit. I didn't discover the issue until I got home. They vacuumed the floor of my car but didn't bother going under mats. They also missed some spots on my passenger side (mud and an old spot of bird poop). These should have been spots they could have wiped away when they were towel dying but they wiped over them without removing them. No longer worth the drive to Annapolis. read more

I've had a monthly Gold membership for a reasonable amount of time to review. The customer service has been excellent. Everyone is very friendly and outgoing every time I visit. The waiting area itself is very clean and free drinks offered for membership customers, which is a nice touch. The wait times can be long. The car cleaning is hit or miss. Sometimes, I can't tell that someone was wiped the interior. After the cleaning session, I discovered that the air vent toggle had been broken on my (3-month off the car lot mini van). I took a deep breath, decided to let it go and move forward. Tonight, I discovered that a car wash with them has damaged my car with black scratches on what was an unblemished car. I pay $50 a month. This is not cheap. For this amount of money, I should be worried about what they are going to destroy next on my car each this I take it in for a car wash. Updated- I requested several times to view the footage and you refused to show me. My insurance is calling tomorrow to request it. I got a free full service invite in the mail and I was in the neighborhood so I decided to go for a car wash and detail. Positives: The process of driving up and checking in was very easy and the waiting room was comfortable and clean so I could work. The vacuuming and dusting were well done and the interior for the most part looked good. Negatives: The inside windows look horrible! I do not know what was on the rag used to clean them, but I had to pull over and grab a napkin to try and clean up the window while driving to the airport the next day. It was that bad, that I could not see once the sun hit the window. The are in fact worse than when I brought my car in. There were some spots on the back of my trunk that were still dirty, so they missed that. Lastly, they didn't call my number or my car, so I was sitting there wondering what was taking so long, and when they started to shut down for the day, a front desk personnel said she didn't see me and asked if I was the white prius...so I was there for about 45 min. Not sure how long it's supposed to actually take. All in all, I doubt I'll be coming back for a full service. I can do a good vacuum job myself, and I can clean my windows MUCH better than they did. I might go back to do the self-service car wash, but that will be it. read more

The carwash I received was fine ... but the customer service was exceptional. When I was called back to get in my car to drive it through the carwash after the interior had been cleaned, my car wouldn't start. When the car wouldn't take a charge from their portable charging box, one of the staff brought his truck around and jumped my car. By that point the owner, Tom, had come out to supervise, and told me where to go nearby to have my battery checked. I must have looked like I wasn't confident, because a minute later Tom came out with the name, address, and phone number of the battery place on a post-it note and said he'd called them and they'd be open for a while longer. I felt so protected and fortunate that my battery died in a place where I was taken care of so well ... and within a half hour I had a new battery and was on my way. Received a text that I had a free car wash for my birthday. I had a total of 14 days to use the coupon before it expired. I show up the weekend after my birthday (today), 3 days after my birthday to use the coupon and their machine does not take the barcode or the coupon code. A guy walks up takes my phone and asks have I used it before, I tell him no and he says well I can't do anything to help you, you can go inside to see if they'll do something but I can't. This car wash is NOT the best around town! The so called general manager Melvin was the rudest, unprofessional and confrontational person I have ever spoke to. I received a car wash from this place on Monday 7/3. After they get done wiping my car down I step out to look and finish wiping it. My car was still dirty! I was in a hurry because I was leaving for vacation.I didn't have time to go in so I proceeded to drive home and I get home and I immediately call them. I spoke with a women first she never apologized just said well bring your car back and we will run it through the wash again... I was already home in Severna Park and I was NOT going to turn around just to " run it through the wash again". I told her I had photos and she said to send them. So I did just that. Then the lovely Melvin calls me and it all went downhill from there. Not letting me speak and very condescending. I just couldn't keep going back and forth so I asked for the Owner to call me. I paid for the top level service and was disappointed by three things. 1) the wax was thin, a short lived wax that made my car glow for a day, then rinsed off. It's back to dulling 2 days later. 2) whoever washed the interior windshield just smeared the dirt around - streaks all over- and left their rag behind on the car floor. 3) I have a car caddy wastebasket in back that I assumed they'd empty. I got the $20 interior and exterior. Overall it was a good service, they vacuumed really well and the car wash got all the dirt off my quarter panels. I only give 4 stars because they did my interior with a super dirty rag and when i drive I can see the dirt streaks on the inside of my windows. Overall it was a good experience. read more
