I had the misfortune of having my AC go out during one of the hottest weeks of the summer. Yelp reviews led me to contact C&V Services. Carlos (owner) was very responsive. He came out and quickly diagnosed the issue as low refrigerant. Afterwards, he assessed the rest of my unit and made suggestions to keep it running more efficiently. He also explained what repairs I made need in the near future. At no point did I feel pressured into repairs that I didn't need. You can tell Carlos and his team value honesty, clear communication, and quality workmanship. If I could give zero stars, I would. Julian at Nero Heating and Air Conditioning gave us one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Before we signed the contract and paid for our new furnace in 2022, he was responsive, attentive, and gave every impression that he cared about earning our business. The moment the payment cleared, it felt like we no longer mattered. Messages went unanswered, conversations became cold and dismissive. 4 years later in 2026, when we called about an issue with blower he had installed, I expected at least a genuine attempt to help. Instead, he arrived with an attitude, spent very little time looking at the system, offered no meaningful diagnosis, fixed nothing, and left. We ended up hiring another HVAC company that quickly found and resolved the problem. Then came the final insult: despite providing no solution and no value, he still wanted to charge us a $75 service fee. We will never use this company again even though they are supposed to provide service under warranty for 10 years, and I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone looking for an HVAC contractor they can rely on after the check has been cashed.

I asked how much is an emergency call vs a regular call and she said she didn't know that, and that a technician would have to call me to tell me the price after I booked the emergency service. I told her multiple times that I didn't want to book a service which I didn't know the price of. She finally says "I'll have the technician call you with the price of the visit before you commit". 20 minutes later I get a text and an email that a technician was on his way in about an hour. I contact the call center again, and nothing. Another 20 minutes goes by and a technician finally calls me. Won't tell me the price of a standard emergency call, and tells me a tech is already on their way. I simply said "cancel it". If it's this difficult to get a simple price from them, I can't imagine how more difficult things go for them. It told me everything I need to know about how they handle their business. Avoid. So many other great options locally, they don't need your business.
