After waiting for 15 min & hearing names called who weren't checking in I asked if they were near my name or my mothers name (who was also here for a test 15 min after mine). I was told yes they would get to me as soon as possible. I then had a friendly conversation with the first staff person but she didn't check us in. Another 10 min I get called to check in -keeping in mind I'm now over 40min past my appointment time. The lady checking me in was friendly and helpful and explained the facility was without power until 11:30am! Well I asked why they didn't call & let us know so we could schedule accordingly. She stated it only affected morning patients. I beg to disagree. The techs in the back were very friendly and helpful. I would like to give this location a better rating but if you have a scheduled appointment time they just can't seem to get you back in time. This has happened before and I will not come back again! I will give the two front desk staff 5/5 for friendly service and helpful service. Also give the technician doing the test a 5/5, would be higher if possible-she was great and friendly! Facility is clean but needs more parking especially for handicap!! This is at a medical center so that also takes points off!

I had a follow up with my surgeon, I felt a small lump, she feels it is scar tissue and sent the script for me to have an ultrasound. I called the scheduling center and they told me that I HAVE TO HAVE A MAMMOGRAM and that my doctor needs to send that script. It is their protocol...but I have zero breast tissue...and I am still recovering from surgery. I contacted my doctor and she said absolutely not. They told me to have my Dr send a script for a mammogram and ultrasound and just tell them I don't want the mammogram when I get to the appointment. I said, my doctor doesn't want me to have a mammogram, why would I ask her to write a script for it if she doesn't want me to have it. I asked them what their protocol is for someone who just had a mastectomy and not reconstruction...they said "Oh, an ultrasound". Make this make sense.... I'm dealing with cancer, surgeries and just need an ultrasound, WHY is this so difficult... I spoke to 4 different employees and they all told me the same thing.

Needed to get an ultrasound done and was skeptical about the location at first. It's more than an…read morehour and a half away from home in an unfamiliar area. The appointment was made via MyChart. Parking was free and easy as was the check-in process. My testing started promptly on time and ended quickly. The facility was clean and organized. The tech who worked with me was delightful! I went home with tons of new Mediterranean restaurants to try. Loved my conversations with her. It made my otherwise invasive testing process feel more pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this location for any imaging needs in the future. It's a lot better than the Bethesda one by a large margin even with the drive.

This…read moreis my 6th procedure this year and when I schedule, I ask if there is any co pay due and I'm told at the time, there is none. Yet, when I show up for my appts., I have been charged the copay. It just such a hassle to make repeated phone calls to get my money refunded. And it's unnecessary. This visit, I was told by Lindsay (front desk) that my insurance was "sub-par" and that is why I needed to pay my copay up front. She repeated the "sub-par" portion of her conversation in a very loud voice, so I was mortified, which is what, I believe, she was trying to do. Keep in mind, my insurance is underwritten by Mutual of Omaha and I would hardly consider them "sub-par". The staff that actually do the tests are very professional and kind. I just wish I could say the same about the front desk.

The staff at Azura are magnificent. The doctors are nice, with soft, warm, approachable energies, which is important, especially when having surgeries done. And the surgeries... I am one who is not keen on the idea of operations, incisions, and the likes. The mere thought of medical devices being left inside of me after surgery is a nightmare, fearing those nightmares in itself. The fears are turned into ketchup and latex, like so many children's monsters. It is the final stage of a visit; however, that is, as the children say today, the chef's kiss. (side note, even typing that is cringey as hell.) The ladies of the nursing staff (and I only say that because all of the nurses that I have dealt with have been women, but if there are men, I am sure they meet the same standards) are kind, sweet, funny, warm, and attentive. Their bedside manner should be more people's topside manner. (walking outside and everyday interactions.) The staff at Azura have been polite, friendly, understanding, and patient in EVERY interaction I have had with them (even bill collecting), and that has been all the more important for me as I am a new dialysis patient receiving a fistula. This entire process has been new and challenging, but this aspect here has been one of the most pleasant aspects. The staff here make having medical issues not so bad. Thank you, staff at Azura, and to someone specific, I hope you pursued it!

My arm was hurting with terrible sensations just with touch. I scheduled an appointment for a nerve conduction study and was told had antebrachial cutaneous nerve damage. Im afraid to get my lab work done now especially in that arm. Please find people who know what they are doing so this won't happen to anyone else. I will not go back to that location after this experience.
