SCHEDULING IS HORRIBLE. First person asked all the questions then couldn't figure out the coding process, put me on hold for 10 minutes, disconnected and never called back. The second person had to ask all over again. Got personal about my health issues. When I inquired why they were usurping doctor's orders they again talked about coding. It took nearly 40 minutes to schedule an ultra sound for 2 areas. One test is NPO the other I drink 32 oz. That took 5 minutes to confirm that npo and 32 oz did not conflict. If I could give a 0 stars I would. I went to Advanced Radiology last week because I have a lump in my Thyroid that my Endocrinologist is concerned about. I haven't been to Advanced in years and have a $0 balance with them. They asked me for my ID and Insurance Card and made copies. Then told me the Ultrasound I was having would leave an "estimated" $143 left to be paid after Insurance and how was I going to be paying that today. I told her I have $0 copay and my Cigna was an 80/20 plan and I get an EOB (explanation of benefits) after it's processed and I'll pay the balance. She said even though it wasn't processed yet and the scan wasn't even done yet I would have to pay the estimated responsibility. I said I get paid tomorrow can I pay half today $72 and the other half tomorrow. "No, absolutely not, You have to pay the full balance and if insurance covers more of the procedure we'll credit you back the difference". I said you guys can't work with me at all? She said "yes, you can apply for Care Credit card to use". So I cancelled and left. Now they are texting and emailing me several times a day about rescheduling. Advanced Radiology is complete sh*t show, their front desk staff is rude, they are NOT patient friendly. They will not work with you and don't care at all about the people coming to see them. When I called to talk to them about what happened I spoke with women in Pakistan that barely knew English. I was transferred twice and they didn't understand what I was telling them. One said the $143 was my copay. I told her my card said I have $0 copay. Please do yourself a favor, if you need imaging done, stay away from Advanced Radiology, especially the one at Franklin Square, they are beyond awful. read more

Excellent Experience from scheduling on phone with Melissa from Pa.(AWESOME!) to the courtesy and kindness and professionalism shown by all of AR Medical Arts Bldg staff (especially the wonderful female Tech that escorted me to this morning's scan) I would have to give this location and ESPECIALLY it's staff a resounding A+++++++. Stopped here for a quick scan with a previous scheduled appointment. Upon arrival my experience was not going well as I checked in at 2:20pm & waiting room was full. After waiting for 15 min & hearing names called who weren't checking in I asked if they were near my name or my mothers name (who was also here for a test 15 min after mine). I was told yes they would get to me as soon as possible. I then had a friendly conversation with the first staff person but she didn't check us in. Another 10 min I get called to check in -keeping in mind I'm now over 40min past my appointment time. The lady checking me in was friendly and helpful and explained the facility was without power until 11:30am! Well I asked why they didn't call & let us know so we could schedule accordingly. She stated it only affected morning patients. I beg to disagree. The techs in the back were very friendly and helpful. I would like to give this location a better rating but if you have a scheduled appointment time they just can't seem to get you back in time. This has happened before and I will not come back again! I will give the two front desk staff 5/5 for friendly service and helpful service. Also give the technician doing the test a 5/5, would be higher if possible-she was great and friendly! Facility is clean but needs more parking especially for handicap!! This is at a medical center so that also takes points off! read more

ILLEGAL BILLING PRACTICES, BEWARE! This hospital is as bad as it gets. I went to an out of state doctor, a specialist, who requested imaging. At his location out of state, it would have cost me $1000. So I decided to shop around with local hospitals to see if any hospital could offer it out of pocket for less. I got a hold of Franklin Square Hospital, and we discussed in detail that this was for another doctor out of state, and I wanted to know the total out-of-pocket expense for the imaging. It was under $200. I engaged in multiple calls to verify this. I showed up on site for the imaging, for which I had an appointment. The lady looked it up, told me the total price, and I paid it on the spot. I then went down to the radiology, had my imaging taken, and instructed them which doctor out of state would be receiving the scan. The doctor received it a day or two later. That was it, or so I thought. Instead, I have been receiving bills from Advanced Radiology. They basically were billing me the same amount as the imaging, which way I already paid for out-of-pocket. I called several times to clarify this, and good luck with that. Nobody knew what the hell was going on. Several people apologized to me, and a couple of them told me that the charge was on hold because they realized it was a mistake. I even spoke to a supervisor, who assured me everything was taken care of. They kept telling me that the charge was for a doctor reading the image. I never authorized that. I told them repeatedly that the image was for a doctor out of state, and that it merely needed to be sent to him. Nothing was said about any additional charges. I never agreed to anything like that. A couple weeks ago, I received yet another bill. I called and complained, and they told me it was yet another mistake. Somehow the computer automatically generated it, although the account was on hold. I demanded to receive a call from a supervisor. None was ever received. So today, I open my mailbox, and not only did Advanced Radiology not fix the problem. They charged off the balance to a collection agency!! Can you believe that? Even though they told me repeatedly the charge was a mistake, they now threaten my credit. I advise you to stay miles away from this hospital. They are engaged in illegal billing practices, have violated federal privacy laws (sending the imaging to be read by a doctor I did not authorize, and the FDCPA, among I'm sure other violations. I intend to have them in the United States District Court within the next few months on this matter. Again, STAY AWAY. You have been warned. read more

After arriving 20 minutes ahead of a scheduled ultrasound, we spent well over an hour waiting to be seen. The front desk was able to check in people relatively quickly and efficiently. It seems then that the technical capability of the individuals working in the back are a bit limited. read more

I received a text saying to come in & there was a waiting room full of people!! They were giving stickers as you came in .. a green which I had & red for people with COVID symptoms. I found that this location was clean, quick and the staff was friendly. I didn't make an appointment and only had to wait about 15 minutes. Getting the x rays took a few minutes, the tech was telling me they only have 2 slides and have to keep uploading the images one at a time. If they had more it would be faster, but they're trying to save cost. Set back in the business park off of Philadelphia Rd, and located close to home, I would absolutely use this location again. read more

This by far is my favorite imaging center. The staff are awesome, very polite, and knowledgeable. They make you feel really comfortable and relaxed. There is plenty of parking on all four sides of the building. There is no need to schedule an appointment just walk in and get registered and have a seat. The receptionist Kendall is very polite and she's always ready for a good conversation while you complete your registration paperwork. I would highly recommend this location. read more

I received a MRI or CAT scan (not sure which one) on 8/7/18. I was told at that time by your representative that it was not covered and that I would need a appointment 10 days out. I was unable to wait 10 days do to a broken nose. I paid $480.00 out of pocket, believing that your representative was qualified to make this determination. Later that day I found out by the Physician that your representative was incorrect in the information she told me. Having dealt with your company before I wasn't worried at the time. I called your billing department to submit a claim to my insurance company BCBS on 8/8/18. I was informed that it wouldn't be a issue and that they would submit a claim and refund the difference. This wasn't the case everyone I spoke with at your companies billing department tells you one thing and 4 months later does something different. Excuse after excuse from Blaiming someone else to telling BCBS representative that it was to bad that I already paid. This isn't how business is done!! Have been going to Advanced Radiology since 1988, mostly mammograms since my mom had breast cancer very early in life. I moved out of state last year, but when this year's mammogram was suspicious I ran back to Baltimore to see Dr. Fernandez (fantastic doctor!) and arranged the biopsy at Advanced rather than where I live. I drove 100 miles, stayed overnight in a hotel - all to have the biopsy at Advanced. I did this because they are 'attached' to my surgeon's office, because my employer has had a decades long relationship with them etc. This is my second biopsy by Advanced. After being assured my copay would be $100 at this facility, I got a bill for about $900. I've been trying to resolve it for nearly a year now, while I battled the breast cancer that was detected last year. Last month my sister was diagnosed and had a double mastectomy. I will likely need one too shortly. My surgeon wants new imaging now. When all is said and done, Advanced's response is basically 'oh well, you were told wrong, pay up". I will NEVER return to Advanced for anything and I hope no one else will show any loyalty to them either. read more
