So I just stayed here from 04/25/2026 through 04/27/2026. I read the reviews after staying and checking out. I had to click on a few "helpful" and "thanks" tabs, as I am concurring with some of their grievances. First of all, I think a few things have been fixed but not all. Let state what I've observed: First and foremost; the drug addicts/users at the side exit. Which I thought was the entrance after not realizing the main entrance was where I previously parked in front of. They were smoking weed and cigarettes. 1. The elevators were dirty and some malfunctioned. 2. When I checked in, there were a lot of staff members behind the counter, all of whom acted as if they were at the lounge, chatting and ignored customers. I had to scream to get their attention just to check in. 3. I had a room with 2 beds and yet they only put one tiny bottle of shampoo, one tiny conditioner. 2 tiny soaps. Like seriously! 4. The suspicious persons roaming the back areas of the hotel. I'd say, once again, drug addicts. I requested a very quiet floor. Yes, it was quiet... but when I was heading to my room, I noticed a lot of empty rooms, unmade beds, wide opened doors... all I would say is, more rooms for the junkies to come in and use. All they have to do is have one person stay in and close the door behind and free room to use whatever and then make the rest of the world uncomfortable. This is my first time seeing a hotel, with wide opened doors like that. Not one, or two, but about 6 rooms for sure that were opened. One of the corners had a Ring indoor camera. The older model of the one I have at home, hanging on the ceiling. I didn't know this hotel was like this bad. And I booked it via Airbnb. The way it's listed on Airbnb , it seemed like a regular home... until you book it and all... my problem was, I didn't do more reading on the listing. After I booked it, I was also too lazy to cancel it. But a day before, a week before, I tried to look for other homes on Airbnb and some only allowed 3 nights stay or unavailable. So I stuck with it. When I say I am beyond pissed with this location, I mean it! There is absolutely no excuse for the condition of this so-called hotel. I have never stayed somewhere so filthy, low-grade, and completely misrepresented compared to what they show online. My husband and I booked a night here just to get away and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary -- and it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. When we arrived, I tried to stay positive based on the price, thinking maybe it wouldn't be too bad. I was dead wrong! The bed was uncomfortable, the walls were paper-thin, and the room next to us was beating and blasting music all night long -- so badly that I had to call the front desk twice at 1:36 a.m. The floor had candle wax hardened into the carpet, showing no one even bothered to properly clean the room. The bathtub was disgusting, with someone else's hair still in it. Absolutely vile. The manager was conveniently nowhere to be found when I asked for an immediate refund, and to this day, I am still waiting for a callback. That alone tells you everything you need to know about how they handle complaints -- they simply don't care. It gets worse: even the TV didn't work! In the middle of watching a show, the signal completely dropped and never came back. Restarting the TV didn't help. Whether it's a bad cable service or broken equipment, it's false advertising to claim you offer TV service when you clearly can't deliver. Every basic amenity they promised was either broken, dirty, or subpar. The smell of the room was horrendous -- a nauseating mix between cheap cleaning chemicals and bug spray. I still feel sick just thinking about it. The conditions of this property are not just bad -- they are a serious violation of hospitality industry standards and basic health regulations. There are laws and regulations hotels are required to follow to maintain sanitary, safe, and functioning environments for guests. This hotel did not meet a single standard. It is unsanitary, unsafe, unprofessional, and should be reported and investigated immediately. They clearly prioritize making a quick dollar over guest safety, comfort, and experience. If you care at all about your health, your money, or your peace of mind, DO NOT stay here. Spend a few extra dollars and go somewhere that actually respects its guests and takes pride in their property -- because this place is an absolute disgrace. read more

Public Service Announcement to all normal people thinking about booking this "affordable" hotel. Dangerous and disgusting. Keep your family/children far away from this hell hole! Stayed here for a youth baseball tournament and compiled this list of "highlights": 1. Sketchy characters also staying at and loitering around this place reeking the place of weed smoke. One sketchy couple , who we thought were "just smoking cigarettes outside all day", were actually enjoying their Heroin high and the Cops and Ambulance showed up to tend to one of them (give narcan to) who passed out. 2. Syringe dropped from the top of one of the parents' doors when they closed it. (picture attached) 3. Another parent found a spoon with burnt residue under their bed 4. A couple of our boys witnessed people from another room cooking Crystal Meth and walking around with a stinky pot of hot blue liquid while wearing industrial grade face masks and rubber gloves before they retreated to their room upon seeing the boys witness their actions. 5. Signs of rodents in the room - droppings, chewed up food wrappers behind the stand and bed. 6. Staff does not care or respond to concerns about safety and health - It was like a horror movie where you are trapped in a horrible place and the people will not help you. read more

Avoid like the plague. Over priced and dirty hotel, no included breakfast, rude/ignorant/lazy staff. Toilets don't flush, there are even signs on the toilet to tell you not to be alarmed if your toilet doesn't flush. Ours didn't flush all night and we left them brown mountain. Couch in room hasn't been steam cleaned in a decade and has skin oil/dirt where we didn't want to sit on it. Room had a light musky smell. Woke up at 2am to use the bathroom to come out of the bathroom to find a rat in the middle of the room nibbling on a piece of paper from my work documents. Called front desk, didn't seem to care much I had a rodent, they never came to check on me. Checking out front desk played games about the general manager not being available to fix the issue or correct my bill. It's been 5 days and manager dodging my calls. A manager that never goes to work I guess and never returns calls to customers who had issues. Avoid, avoid avoid. read more

A deep cleaning with a pressure washer. None of the outlets worked, nor did the USB plug on the desk or lamps. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom. The remote control did not work the TV even after replacing it from the front desk with the brand new one. The staff at the desk was wearing a hoodie and the other a sweatshirt. This place is horrible. Staff were relatively nice, that was the only redeeming quality. Seriously please do not stay here. We read the reviews and disregarded but we should not have. First of all, they gave us the wrong room with a busted lock and lights that were half not working. The bed had stains on it. Finally, we decided to check the sheets because we had read reviews about bed bugs on here and of course we find one on the pillow, I'm sure there's more where that came from. This place should not be allowed to continue in business. Aren't there any inspections required for a hotel? Dirty, smelly, moldy, peeling paint hanging from the ceilings. Not sure if my first review made it through; they said it was "live" but I didn't see it and I want to make sure others are aware of the condition of this place. I left after 15 minutes. MY FIRST REVIEW (POSTED TO THE WRONG HOTEL): This property is in serious need of major renovation. The room smelled musty, paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling, there was what appeared to be ongoing leaks causing recurring water damage to wallboard and paint at the window that had been patched and painted over several times, but the underlying leak / source not corrected, rusty door frames, cracked ceiling tiles, and moldy vent louvers in the bathroom. That's just the room, I didn't stay long enough to discover any other the other "amenities". I wonder if some of these problems might actually be health hazards. I paid for the night but did not stay and left after 15 minutes. Not that it mattered to me at that point, but the bar that was supposed to be open was dark and empty at 6 PM on a Friday night. If you decide to stay here don't make the decision based on the bar. Any review higher than a 2 must be from previous management or possibly a stay in the Twilight Zone, because nothing good was in evidence when I was there on 8/9/24. read more

Loved the pool with flowers all around it and a gazebo...nice grounds. Whatever shampoo they have left my hair nice and soft. Hotel is clean and you cannot beat the price! They even had an exercise room and tiki type lounge that serve alcoholic beverages. read more

I booked on the road through Expedia and arrived with my teenage daughter, both of us exhausted, at 10:15 pm. There was no one at the front desk. Some scary dudes and a woman with practically no clothes on were hanging out in the lobby. One man approached us and told us that we would not be able to check in because the staff had "left for the night." He said someone might be back around midnight or 1 am if we wanted to wait. He left and some minutes later, while I was trying to reach Expedia, I heard people laughing and mocking me. I called the hotel number -- no answer. It took a long time to reach anyone on the phone at Expedia. They took down my complaint and were going to book me elsewhere. At 11 pm, the front desk clerk arrived and apologized. He said that there is no one to staff the place between 10:30 and 11 pm. In addition to having unsatisfactory service, I think this hotel is unsafe and should not be in business. read more

It's my fault. I had stayed there before and I was just as disgusted then as I was this time. I do say this: If you are able to spend a little more money, please refrain from staying at this hotel. It is not clean and the rooms smell like cigarettes BIG TIME. Yukk. Besides, the day we arrived to check in, there was NO ONE to check us in. Just as sign that day "will be back shortly". Simply, as other reviewers stated, this is not a safe property. My room didn't have a smoke detector (see picture). When I walked down the hall to my room, there were many rooms propped open but no one in them. It was weird and creepy. The halls are run down but the lobby seems to be fine. I did t use the fitness center since the hotel just didn't seem safe. I stay at many hotels and spend over 100 nights a year at hotels ( yes, you read that right) and this is in the bottom 5%, mostly because of the safety concerns. read more

Don't go here!!! The hotel has bed bugs and the staff don't seem to care enough to do anything about it!! I found a live bed bug crawling in the room (which means there are likely many many more where that came from). When we told the staff in the lobby, they denied it's a bed bug (even after seeing the photo) and claimed it's "impossible" for the hotel to have bed bugs, due to some special mattress covers they use (they don't even HAVE mattress covers). They said "oh it must have been another bug" as if their "special mattress covers" (which don't exist) work on ONLY bed bugs and allow other bugs in. After enough pressure, they reluctantly asked someone to come check our room. The guy checking our room slightly lifted one corner of the mattress for 1 second and claimed there are no bed bugs - it was a very pathetic and disingenuous search. They reluctantly agreed to change our room, but moved us to the room directly beside the infested room.... They did nothing at all to compensate us or even just apologize. I bet they just gave the infested room to the next guest right away. They probably knew about the bed bugs, since they did not seem surprised. I had to throw out so many of my belongings, and heat treat all my things, and spent the last week being stressed waiting to see if I missed anything and brought any critters home with me.... next time I'm spending more money on a hotel that actually cares about its guests :( read more

If it was possible to leave less than a 1-star review, I would, but alas, that is impossible. While the lobby and meeting space look fine, the room was nothing short of the most disgusting space that I have ever encountered. We had a king room with a pull-out couch. The couch reeked of urine when in its upright position, so we didn't even open it into a bed. The ceiling was riddled with mold. Despite the parking lot being virtually empty, the front desk agent said that they were sold out, so we did not change rooms--instead sticking it out for the one night that we were there. With the intention of a future guest not having the same terrible experience, we shared our concerns (primarily of safety and sanitation) with the front desk agent. He offered no support or suggestions and simply began arguing as to why we could not receive any sort of credit--a request that we certainly did not solicit. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this property. read more

I have never been to a sketchier, dirtier, or more disgusting hotel. The one entrance to the hotel parking lot was easily missed and could only be accessed by turning right or making a U-turn when coming from the main road. The property itself was unkempt with the surrounding vegetation overgrown, trash by one of the side doors and the trash cans out front full. I did not feel it was safe to leave anything with potential value in my car, so everything came to the room with us. The lobby was dark and dingy looking, with obviously drunk people milling around the bar. The front desk staff were uncaring and more invested in conversing with each other than helping us. The elevator was so small I could barely fit myself, my husband, and a stroller inside. It was also slow to arrive and attempted to close on the stroller as we were trying to get on and continued to try to close even when a safety sensor should have told it the stroller was being crushed by the closing doors. The room itself was dirty and in disrepair. The light by the "closet" only flickered when it was turned on like in a horror movie. The bathroom had water damage to the ceiling that was poorly covered up, had rust stains in the tub with mildew in the grout and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. There were several spots with hand smudges and water rivulets on the wall, like someone had splashed a drink on the wall. Several areas had paint peeling or gouges in the drywall. The window was covered in smudges and looked like a child had tried to reseal the edges with silicone. One of the lamps was dented on the bottom and another had a damaged and crooked shade. The nightstand had scrapes in the wood on the front. The dresser not only had scrapes and gouges but had an entire piece of the frame missing next to the minifridge. The minifridge itself looked like it needed a good bleaching and had a rusted cracked spot in the back. When my husband went to notify the staff of the damage to the room to ensure we didn't get charged for these damages (because they took a security deposit of $100 in the event of damage to the room), he was told "Oh don't worry about it, you are wasting your time". The whole place made me want to take a hot shower but the hot water lasted less than 10 minutes before getting cold. When I laid down on the bed to sleep I had to wipe the dirt off the bottom of my feet from the carpet not having been vacuumed any time recently. The bed itself was hard as a rock with pillows that had no substance to them, so you felt like you were simultaneously being swallowed by fluff and laying straight on the bed itself. Our room was unfortunately on the pool side of the hotel and music and partying could be heard until almost 10:00 at night. The lack of cleanliness made me worried about the quality of the water, so I refused to use any of our baby bottles until they were cleaned elsewhere and only used water from our water bottles. read more

Buyer beware! Nothing "Choice" about this hotel!! Favorite part was the flying bugs in the room. Or the sink that didn't drain & more dead bugs came up. Or the debris (termite damage?) in the hallway. Or maybe that the security door into the hall from the parking lot was not secure. Or that we were charged as a no-show even though Choice Hotels C/S says that's against policy. Won't refund for the second night they charged us for because my 82 year old mother couldn't get up to check out at 11 when we arrived at 3:52 AM. The best thing I can say is that the sheets appeared to be clean. GM is too cheap to care! Truly deserves zero stars!! read more

While traveling through for work I got a roomhm here and found out the toilet was stopped up. They could not give me another room because the computer went down. Had to have maintenance come out and fix the toilet issue. The workers do not speak much English, and overheard one of them asking if they actually get overtime pay because one does not get it over 40 hours. I suspect they hire illegals. I stayed at this hotel in October, 2017, on my way up to New York City to see a family friend. By the time I got to the hotel, it was after 7 PM. I was exhausted after a 10 hour drive and just wanted a hot bath and bed. I checked in at the desk, and it seemed okay. I got to the elevator and was the only female in the elevator except for a male who was overly friendly and wanted to find out all about me. Of course, I didn't answer any of his questions or tell him my name. Right before the elevator stopped at my floor, he leaned forward and said, "Tell me, do you do black guys?". This made the hair on the back of my neck stand up and I knew I was in danger. I believe this man was a pimp and is recruiting women who are traveling alone at this hotel. I looked him straight in the eye and said, "I've just driven over 500 miles. I'm too tired to do anything. Go find someone else." Then the elevator door opened and I shot out of there and made sure he was not following me down the hall. The minute I got in the room, I locked the door behind me, put the luggage on the bed and called down to the front desk to report what had happened.
