So I ordered a 9" pepperoni and mushroom pizza and some breaded deep fried mushrooms to go. My order came out within 15 minutes. The pizza was pretty good. The crust was thin and crispy. The sauce was pretty decent. There were a fair amount of toppings although they weren't spread out very evenly. The price was about right ($12) but the breaded mushrooms were a little steep ($8) for the few smallish pieces I got. The staff was friendly and they do have a reasonably priced pizza buffet that would definitely entice hungry families on a budget. Chet and Matt's is a 4 star kind of place. read more

Stopped by for dinner with friends. We wanted to try a local pizza place avoiding chain restaurants and something children would eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place appeared busy attracting tourists in the area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There also appeared to be a salad bar that we did not get a chance to try. We ordered two orders of breadsticks with cheese for the table, cheese pizza, meat lovers pizza, redskin potato pizza along with fried cauliflower. I wished the waitress would have offered some advice when we ordered that much food. The breadsticks with cheese were essentially a ticker cheese pizza and we were completely full when the actual cheese pizza arrived. The red skin pizza was good as it was something new I don't typically see around. The best part of the whole meal was the fried cauliflower which I wish we had a bigger portion as we were trying to split with the table. I'm not sure if I would come back here. The food was fine but nothing to rave over other than the fried cauliflower that I feel we didn't get enough of. read more

We ordered from this pizza place while staying at Kalahari, and overall it was a great experience! They delivered everything right to the lobby, which was super convenient. We tried the 7-inch roasted redskin potato pizza, the 7-inch cheese with mushroom and pepperoni, and a 6-piece garlic Parmesan wing order. The redskin potato pizza was definitely our favorite -- so much flavor and something really unique. The wings were also amazing, especially the garlic parm sauce... absolutely delicious! The cheese, mushroom, and pepperoni pizza wasn't our favorite, but everything else more than made up for it. This place really shines with its specialty pizzas and wings. Well first time there last time there basically, their pizza was far from normal, wouldn't even put out cheese, every time you picked up a piece thinking it was cheese it was far from it, even if it was cheese still probably wouldn't eat it because the cheese and sauce tasted artificial, their service was slow it took 10 minutes to pay the check we had to ask for, the Waiter check us out and had to use a colleges money for the change, we will not be coming back. read more

Amazing! Made reservations for a group of 23 about 5 days in advance. Response to my email was quick and efficient as was making the reservation. Our party arrived on time and seated immediately. We were in a semi private room of three tables of eight. They offered a pizza buffet for both kids and adults, at a very affordable price. This is a great idea to move along large groups and takes off a lot of pressure for the waitresses. :) You could also order off the menu, of course. The pizza was delicious as well as the salad bar. My husband also ordered hot barbecue wings which were delicious. If you have a group and are in town for any sort of sports event... This place definitely knows how to do it. The only thing I would recommend is some sort of signage above the pizzas on the buffet because it was a guessing game as to what you were choosing bc all the pizzas looked the same. We have been to Chet & Matt's quite a few times and really enjoy their specialty line of pizzas :-) However, I would urge you to stay away from their Sunday brunch buffet. Pricing is $14.99pp and does not include a drink. The breakfast portion was just so so, the salad bar portion had a nice selection, but the pizza portion was awful! There were only two or three pizzas available at a time and they sat there until they were dry and not chosen for quite some time. We asked if fresh pizzas could brought out and were told there is only room on the buffet for a few pizzas at a time. This is understandable, however the pizzas being provided should remain fresh, with a nice selection. Will never go the buffet route again. We're total tourists to this area but we were hungry for pizza and saw this place had solid reviews. We were greeted on entry and given a place to sit at the bar and look over the menu. The waitress was friendly and asked where we were from and such, was able to recommend which size pizza to order to split, and got us ice water while we waited for our pizza to cook. It took about 20 minutes. We got it to-go to take back to our hotel room. There were a good number of specialty pizzas to choose from and we liked the flavor of ours. The crispiness of the crust made it extra good. I thought the paintings inside the restaurant were really cool. We called ahead for a large group. They stated the could accommodate us IF we all got the buffet. We arrived and they said they had a "drink station" set up for us, as they had a server call off. "Go ahead and drink whatever, we just figured we'd make it easier on everyone." ...seemed very nice. It was downhill from there. The "buffet" was one or 2 pizzas at a time (which was not enough for the rest of the customers eating the buffet, let alone our group.) As soon as they brought pizza out, it was gone. (Remember, we called as soon as they opened to give them a heads up.) THEN, they insisted we pay in 1 transaction. 40 people--$800!!!!!! They charged everyone for drinks, even though most drank water...and they set up the "drink station," making it seem like a courtesy...and a random up charge, making it over $19/person. I'm not sure anyone left "full," more just tired of attacking the buffet like rats to get a slice of pizza. read more

I have celiac disease and Chet & Matt's was AMAZING! To start, their staff was so friendly and helpful when I called to order. We ordered a large gluten free pizza, a small gluten free pizza, and a cinnamon stick pizza and I was in heaven. I have not had cinnamon sticks in probably 15 years and these are amazing. Pizza slices of many different pies is pretty much the way of it here as the best way to get a piece of the pie here is to come for the buffet! So I've been here twice one time my friend and I just ordered our own pie and I must say it was definitely decent but nothing amazing as I just wasn't really into the crust as it just didn't leave a I gotta come back here vibe to it just like the rest of the pie. So my friend and I ordered a pepperoni sausage pie with some banana peppers on it was decent and definitely good for the time being but nothing out of the ordinary to be like that was amazing so I'm sure that's why it took me soo long to come back here again. This time around I just felt like having a few different slices of pizza and remembering that they had a pizza buffet here I was like let's give them one more chance and today was it. The buffet had the basics and a few other combinations like a mac&cheese one and your standard Hawaiian pie as well as a salad bar and an assortment of chicken wings all for the taking. Here again I just felt like the pies were average the variety was nice but the pizza was just ok to me as were the wings. If you are going to visit here check their website first as they have a few different coupons for a few different things so it will definitely save you a few bucks! Overall it's all about the buffet here as you get a variety that way and it's just what you'd expect it to be if I were to come back here it would only be for this as it wasn't too pricey and if I want a slice of a few different ones then a buffet is the way to go! read more

While staying at Great Wolf Lodge, we did a search to see what pizza place in the area had the best reviews. Chet and Matt's looked like a good choice, and we were pretty pleased. We had to meet the driver in front of the hotel, and he was professional and polite, even calling to let us know when he was about to pull into the hotel. The large cheese pizza we ordered was good and I also liked the apple dessert pizza. However, none of liked the cheese dipping sauce for the bread sticks, so those went to waste. It was extremely bland. Also worth noting, this pizza is extremely acid reflux inducing. Even my teen son, who has never had acid reflux before, got it so badly that he almost got sick. read more

Spent the day at Cedar Point Amusement Park and this place was highly recommended by my in laws for an afterwards dinner. So glad we went here! They do have a buffet table but it was closed by the time we got here. We literally just missed it. But it's ok- we ended up ordering from the menu and everything was delicious! Now, I'm from NYC and I know what good pizza is - and they definitely had some good tasting pizza! I had a little bit of two worlds- the gluten free cheese pizza world -due to my kids, and the regular bbq chicken pizza world haha I love that they have gluten free options - the gluten free pizza was just as good as my regular bbq pizza. Also had jalopeno poppers for an appetizer, also really good! They were the kind with the cream cheese inside- yum! This is a nice family oriented sports bar. It was difficult for us to make it in during the pizza buffet's limited hours but we finally made it and it was pretty good. There wasn't a ton of pizza out but they did replace them as fast as people were eating them. Nice little salad bar also. The key to enjoying Chet & Matt's is knowing what you're getting. You don't come here expecting hand-tossed bubbly Neapolitan pizzas or extra-thick Detroit or Chicago-style deep dish. Fitting a small town, the place specializes in a standard crust with generous layers of cheese and a flavorful pizza sauce. I had never had a pizza buffet before but was delightfully surprised. The kitchen was great at pumping out a steady supply of pizzas of all varieties which let you try a BUNCH of different flavors. I wasn't expecting a pizza place in a small town to put out imaginative pizzas like Mac n cheese or cherry pie but they surprising worked and, in retrospect, were very fitting for the Midwest palate. The workhorse of this place is the pizza sauce which is perfectly-balanced between tangy, sweet, and savory with only a mild herbiness which is what makes it so flexible. I unashamedly added ladlefuls to my plate and dipped all my pizzas in this crack sauce :D The crust is thick enough to support the toppings but neither crispy or doughy, it just gets the job done. Overall I enjoyed my meal at Chet & Matt's. The high-school sports theme gives the place a lot of character and the $9 buffet option really can't be beat considering the quality creative pies they fill it with. Fabulous food. We do delivery when staying at Kalahari or Great Wolf Lodge. It is a requirement of staying at Waterpark for us to get Chet &Matt's. Pizza is cut in strips and just is fantastic.
