I ordered 2 pieces of trim for the bottom edge of the upper cabinets, i did not get them they had to be reordered and then they charged me 500.00 for the 2 pieces. I had to wait another 5 weeks to get the trim. When I went to install the trim I found 1 of the upper cabinets was out of square. I had to use a car jack to square it up. Absolutely the worst cabinets I have ever installed and the worst cabinet person. (I am a builder, Master plumber, Heating contractor and Boiler contractor, I have been in the construction trades for 43 years)

Overall, I've been pleased with the installation and the system itself. My concern is with the follow-up service. Part of the critter guard came loose and fell off, and it has now been almost three months since I first contacted Oak. During that time, I've corresponded with three different people at the company as well as their phone service. I initially asked whether the repair was covered under warranty. I also asked that, if it was not, they simply provide a parts list or tell me what I would need to buy so I could address it myself. I still have not received that information. I was subsequently told that Oak would take care of the repair, but almost three months later the critter guard is still sitting on the sidewalk. This seems like a relatively minor issue, and I've tried to be flexible about the solution. I would be satisfied either with Oak reattaching it as promised or with enough information to understand what is needed to fix it properly. I chose Oak in part because of its participation in Ann Arbor's organized solar group-buy program, and I otherwise like the solar installation. I'm posting this review because the normal service channels have not resolved what should be a straightforward service request. I hope someone at Oak sees this and gets it taken care of. I'll be happy to update the review when it is resolved.

We were originally going to go to Menards as they tend to have better quality lumber than Home Depot, but I'm glad we found Durst instead. Durst has high quality lumber for comparable prices, and they deliver for a VERY reasonable fee. The guys who work in the lumber area are extremely knowledgeable and were able to give us good advice for one of our projects. Excellent service. We will definitely be coming back here for all our lumber needs!
