Fast forward a year later, a friend of ours recommended Dieu. She saved us $300/ MONTH. She is absolutely amazing. Whenever we have a friend that needs insurance, or were not happy about their insurance, we always recommend Dieu. She is always next to the phone when you need her and she will always return calls in an orderly manner. Another reason why we respect Dieu so much is because our insurance went up a year ago. Dieu did everything in her power to lower it. She even got us a quote with another agent that can offer us a lower monthly payment. But we chose to pay more, so we can have Dieu as our agent. Emailed the VIN. No response. Called again, emailed again - and still no response for over a week. I finally had to just call State Farm customer service who was able to help me in one phone call. Imagine that!! What's the point of having an agency business model if they don't respond and make it harder? I tried calling another West Seattle State Farm agent to switch my business and they said they try not to do that but if Heather's office keeps it up I'll find a way to get a new agent. I'm normally very empathetic with folks - I really don't know what's going on and I try to be patient but driving around uninsured in a new car is a very vulnerable place to be.

I've been with…read moreState Farm 20 plus years and my rates have consistently and drastically increased, regardless of my age, my excellent driving record, how old my vehicle is or any other criteria that should decrease ones rate. Motorcycles don't qualify for their "multi-vehicle discount", which makes absolutely no sense... State Farm also won't allow me to insure my motorcycle for 6 months, as I do with my car. I was told their policy is that motorcycles are insured for a year, even though the vast majority of riders in Washington State don't ride all year round. State Farm knows this but they want money for that full year! I find them to be incredibly greedy. They couldn't care less about their long time policy holders or customer retention.
