Every time we drive past this Summit we make a pit stop at this super popular gas, restaurant, EV charging, and museum area. The one thing we want is a dipped ice cream cone from Foster's Freeze which is always a treat on this break. The place is not bad but the charging station by Charge point SUCKS, allow as a turtle even though there is no one else sharing. Out of 2 chargers one kept turning on and off and the other is slow as a friggin TURTLE, so be aware. read more

This is a solid place to stop. It's pretty busy! There is a good size market and a snack bar. They have Nathan hot dogs which we'll try next time. The restrooms are pretty clean. This is near the General Payton museum which would be fun to see. read more

I've stopped here a few times as I make my regular trips to and from Arizona. As others have said, its a solid gas status and mini mart. Restrooms are always clean and so far the cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. read more

I walk in , it's 7:36 am and this place is immaculate. It smells like pine sol, freshly mopped floors, clean , fully stocked shelves, lots of options. Then I walk into the woman's restroom and I love to rate a good restroom. Floors? spotless, stalls: empty and fresh, sinks : clean. Trash: no where in sight. This place is just the first major stop area available after a long distance while traveling from phoenix to Los Angeles. And hence many people along with truck stops here. Area is big too. They have everything like other highway convenience stores but the only advantage is the Nathan's food court inside it. Although very crowded, not so clean restrooms and very high prices of gas. I would suggest to keep going for 10-15 mins more and you will see more options and cheaper gas too. read more

We have been stopping there for YEARS,,,, we would stop and buy snacks, most often we would get soft serve ice cream, was reasonably priced, service has most often been with an attitude. Not long ago we stopped and a soft serve ice cream went from $3.50 to $5.49...and a surcharge because of Covid with every purchase!,, When we questioned the 'employee'' was a brat !! We left and said we will no longer stop,,,, well today we said forget it and stopped to get ice cream, my husband was hungry and asked how many taquitos were in an order.. she replies 2,, ok 2 orders of taquitos and an soft serve twist cone.. We leave with our ridiculously expense order. The taquitos were frozen from the supermarket and cost $5.79 per order!!! Come on !!! The ice cream tasted funny, the vanilla was fine but the chocolate had a weird taste I couldn't recognize ... I really wanted my almost $6.00:cone, I tried to ignore it but couldn't, wondering when the last time tha machine was cleaned? Sadly threw my and cone hard earned money in the trash !!! Well , I always try to get gas here on the way to California. But they only had four pumps working, so the car line was back to the freeway. 4.40 a gallon usd but it's a Prius so that will be fine. NASTY GAS STATION! I would not recommend coming to this gas station. Once you get off the freeway, there is no direction on how to get to the gas station. You end up driving in the general direction of where you think the gas station is and when you see it, there are cars flying in and out every which way. Especially at night; it is extremely dark and you cannot see any signs. The parking lot area is all dirty and stained up. Trash cans overflowing. The restrooms in the mini-mart are absolutely disgusting! The mini-mart itself is also grody inside. The gas prices are the least of the problems here - it is California in the middle of nowhere; common sense people - the gas will be $$$. read more

All I wanted was a lotto paper. I could not find them. We tried asking the rude lady behind the counter but she would not let us. She gave us the hand. We stood in line to ask her where the lotto is. She said "it's here you just have to tell me and I give it to you". I did not know whether it was mega lotto or power. So I asked for the one for tonight. She didn't know. This location is ridiculously rude. Patricia decides to sweep when it's rush hour at the entrance (seems like a bright decision *sarcasm). I'm entering into the facility and I notice her sweeping and I say "Oh, I'm sorry." And she immediately barks back "GIVE ME A SECOND." And I'm standing in the way of the doorway thinking "Gosh, kind of rude but okay." She lets me pass as she's still struggling to sweep the entrance. I go in and do my business and am about to walk out and Patricia is still struggling to sweep the entrance. I start going out the door to exit behind someone since he was holding the door open for me and Patricia decides to push the door back into my face (I was literally right behind this gentleman to exit and she pushed the door when I was already halfway out). Patricia yells, "USE THE OTHER DOOR." I exit the other door and yelled back at her saying she doesn't have to be so rude. And she responds "Whatever, bye!" Hope that lady gets fired cuz apparently she can't clean since she was struggling so badly and she doesn't have common sense to not sweep during rush hour (2PM on a Sunday afternoon). This place still thinks we are in phase one of the Covid pandemic. The signage they put up is ridiculous. They say masks are required but no customers were wearing them only employees (thank goodness), bathrooms are decent. Snack selection is pretty poor and worse than that, most items are not marked with prices so you have to wait in a line to find out a small bag of M&M's are $3.19. They have a open refrigerated selection of sandwiches, pickles and other things with no pricing at all. I've never been anywhere with this many choices under one roof. Save your time and money. Bathrooms broken and they sent everyone to the coffee shop across the street. We returned for an ice cream at Fosters where the employees were taking their time mopping and then sweeping (which makes no sense) while the line grew. We waited 20 minutes in line for the woman to rudely tell me they only accept cash. This was AFTER I sat there reading all their signage of having a 3.9% processing fee on all debit purchases that they have yet they couldn't bother telling people or putting up a sign that says cash only. I then saw her go from using the same gloves to throw raw bacon on the grill to making an ice cream with the same gloves. No thank you!!! read more

Well you know a lot of people complain about this place, thinking they might get a 5-star bathroom, from a place that's in the middle of nowhere, with people lined up and almost urgently lined up, wanting to use the bathroom, now unless there was a person in the bathroom 24/7 the results are going to be varied. Well I'm not much of a complainer, and I'm real happy but they're here, but they have a bathroom, and then I'm not out in the desert between a cactus and the Joshua Tree needing to use the restroom. So I appreciate they're here, appreciate the big convenience store, appreciate those gasoline in case I've made any stupid calculations about distance, and happy to stop here and use the facilities. Four stars for convenience for sure here. The prices (a bit of gouging for the weary traveler) are what eludes my five star rating. $3.00 for a 7 pound bag of ice? But, this outpost of all that is good and beverage is very nice despite the prices. $12.00 for a bundle of firewood? The staff is very friendly and efficient. 20 cents for a bag? This place is in the middle of nowhere, so to speak, and their prices are super overpriced. If you can make it to the next station you should. We only stopped here because someone had to use the restroom on our drive back to Los Angeles. The restrooms were clean, and they had a DQ inside which was nice. Unfortunately the price of the gas was terrible, and we made the mistake of topping off the tank before noticing the massive mark-up. The DQ was good though, and it really hit the spot. This place gets by on being the only place for miles in either direction. It is not on any effort on its part. The place is dirty. This is not exclusive to the bathrooms, the main store area is dirty as well. There are often lengthy lines inside at the register and at the pumps. Of course most of you would say they are busy, and the lines are a result of that. True, however, any decent manager knows those spikes and plans accordingly. Part of the problem there to is with the staff. They are not interested in being friendly or efficient. Nothing happens quickly there. To top it off everything there is overpriced. This place will rip you off. Price for gas on sign is different than actual cost of fuel in their system. They lure you in and if you're not paying attention you'll get ripped off. Cashier double charged for other purchases. If it hadn't been caught they would have gotten away with it. So watch out for the cashier named Claudia. She needs to be fired.
