If I could give them zero stars I would. I want you all to know about this place. I have been going here, literally for years almost every day. They have made thousands of dollars on me. I come here every day to buy drinks sometimes many times during the day and chips and things like that. After taking my money for years, they refused to take $100 bill Let me tell you all in case you forgot it is 2024 and $100 bill is what you need to start having because of all the inflation. A few years ago $100 bill was worth way more actually twice as much as what it's worth now. This has increased their prices multiple times They do have change they just don't want to change $100 bill because it takes an extra 30 seconds to put it under the drawer and get the change. So just so that everybody knows that all these years of being a customer here on a daily basis, they refused to give me 30 seconds when I got $100 bill I asked her at least one time you decide to go to another place and give your money somewhere else. I know that writing reviews about a gas station is not likely to be read by most people who are only searching for a nearby station and not particularly interested in individual experiences. But as a loyal Yelper, I always feel compelled to write something on a business that I patronize. As far as gas stations go, they fit the bill as being a good, solid filling station. And as Chevrons often do, they are conveniently located on a neighborhood corner in which they provide competitive gas prices. The Extra Mile mini mart, car wash, free air and water are conveniently available for customers. They have a sufficient number of pumps along with plenty of driving room and parking spaces. I have not used the inside facilities as yet, but I'm certain by the looks of things, the building, as well as the outside areas are maintained up to Chevron standards. What I like about this place is that the gas prices you see is exactly what you pay for (aka no discounts for using cash or price bumps for using card.) I don't normally get gas here or any of the Chevron due to it being so expensive. I've heard people saying this is a better grade or quality gas. For me: I really haven't noticed. I check my miles per gallon every time I fill up. My car is serviced at the dealership. Every week the miles per gallon are consistent and the dealer haven't found anything wrong. Old workers there are racist, you have to be 18 to buy a lighter. The guy refused my id and told me I have to be 21 and made it seem like my California license was fake. Then forgot to charge me for my gas, so I had to come back after work, which was a inconvenience, It made me late to a birthday party,and I purchase it while a younger, educated employee checked me out. Getting gas exclusively here is fine, But if you have to go inside.... Expect the worse and hope for the best. There's always someplace else the clerk would rather be than at work, that's clear. It's your usual Chevron and Extra Mile store. Gas prices are average. Some near here are higher and some are lower, it's hard to get into and out of if you're eastbound Elk Grove Blvd, or northbound Big Horn. The store is clean, the islands are well stocked with towels and window cleaner. I've never had a problem using a credit card or debit card but I know people who say they have. This is basically the out of service station with an attached inconvenience store. The pumps never fully operate and the store is understaffed. Too bad because they are in a really nice location and have plenty exposure to customers. If only they could manage the store effectively. read more

They gave me gas but in a good way. They are always busy. Don't think there's much they can screw up running a gas station.

Although the cashiers tend to be nice and friendly in my experience, the manager Juanita refuses to open up a register no matter how long the line is. I just left, she was just standing around while the one cashier tried to clear out the 14 person line backed up to the bathroom at the rear end of the store. She kept looking at the manager as if she needed help and at one point asked if Juanita could open up the second register to assist in clearing the line. Ghetto! The people that work and own this must be lazy. The maybe 4 times I have been to this location, the receipts are always out at the pumps. Also the hoses always have yellow tape at various pumps stating out of order, causing you to have to drive around or wait for another, frustrating! I have never seen a more poorly ran station from here to the S.F. bay area in my 34 years as a loyal customer.
