Good Chevron gas station, convenient, clean, nicely designed and smooth in and out. Everytime I am in the area I go there because so easy.

Last year, when I ran out of gas, this was the place that had the last tank and a safe walk back to my car. When I got a flat 2 years ago I was able to limp mode my car here. This afternoon, this is the place that said happy Mother's Day to me and made my day. You'll never k ow what places are around that are a safe haven for a gal on the road. These pumps are soooooo slow!! I have a 13 gallon tank and 15 mins later I'm still only 8 gallons dispensed. Never ever returning. UPDATE- the pump also didn't stop on its own and gasoline shot out everywhere. When I went inside to tell the attendant so he could fix the now hazard, he just stared at me and said nothing. Nor did he do anything to rectify the hazard. As I was leaving, someone pulled up to the pump after me and I warned them about my experienced. He laughed and said "sounds about right! This is my go to spot for a car wash. The hand dry is done well. It does take some time. Expect to take at least 20 mins. I get a regular wash, which includes interior vacuum and thorough hand dry. Currently $16.99. Pull right up to car wash center where the hoses hang down and park your car. Wait for someone to come give you a pre-receipt. Take that inside and pay. They will give you a stamped receipt. Wait for the car washers to call out "Done" on your car. Hand them stamped receipt and tip and have a great day! read more

Very deceiving price signs. Looks like a cash discount but you have to buy a car wash to get cheaper gas. There is even a sticker over one side of the price sign so you can't fully see the "car wash" over the price. You choose a wash from the menu and the people doing the work at the exit have no idea what you bought because they don't look at the wash receipt on the dash. This Chevron looks older on the outside, but it's cool. I came here to get my car washed, and there are three levels, from $14.99 to $25.99. The stop-and-go is really large, and sells some interesting things like natural popsicles and a large variety of wine. The restroom is clean and roomy. There's also a "Moonlight Beach Deli & Dogs" inside the stop-and-go. The deli sells egg sandwiches, acai bowls, and tuna melts. They also give away free bread. There is no way I'd come back- unless it is for the sandwiches at the deli. The outside of my car was clean, (excluding the tires which had black gunk all over it still) but I can get that done for $5 at a drive thru place. $20 and there was still dog hair, crumbs, and dust all over my car. The inside barely even looked touched. I do a better job when I go to the shell down the street! The frustrating thing was that my car wasn't all that dirty and I debated doing it myself but decided to let myself relax. But mistake. So, I've come to the conclusion that you can't just drive through a car wash in the greater Encinitas and Carlsbad area. I just wanted a simple wash before the big one, just to get the crud off. Out of desperation, I stopped here and signed up for the bigger package with the wax and dashboard treatment. Might as well get it done. I was pressed in a hurry, but figured I had a half hour. The man who took my order said it'd be done in about 20 minutes, 25 with my add ons. I agreed. Fast forward through one hour and one missed appointment, and my car was mostly sparkling clean. The dash was oily and gross to the touch (I wiped it off later with a towel), but the outside looked great. I'm not sure if it's worth the money, but it was clean. It just took too darn long. I never thought I'd be writing a review for a gas station, but here's where we are. I haven't had any issues with the gas pumps themselves, this review is for the store inside. Twice now I've stopped here for a snack or chocolate bar and have been met by a thick metal chain wrapped around the door handle with a sign reading "Closed for Mandatory lunch break" along with a sign showing when they'll probably return. I get it, everyone needs a lunch break and I'm not denigrating the employee who needs 30 minutes to eat a sandwich and watch some youtube videos. My issue is - how can a business close their doors at 6:30 PM on a Friday evening for 30 minutes and not expect to have upset customers? It's happened twice now and it's unbelievable. I watched 3 people pull on the chained doors only to throw their hands in the air and walk away. No one's doing their grocery shopping at a gas station, we're not there to pick up stuff to meal prep with - we want a quick snack, a tasty treat or a cup of coffee to get us down the road. This gas station does not offer that, at least not with reliable results. Chevron Encinitas - hire another person to work. You should have two employees at one time, come on. I paid extra for the diamond package so my wheels would get "hand cleaned" according to their sign. Not happy with what I got for the money ($27.99). Looks like they merely sprayed tire wet on the rubber and did nothing else (see pics). Sand still left in the floor mats, and they sprayed armor all on everything, including the steering wheel! DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED HERE! I went in for gas and paid for a car wash and left with a broken antenna ($630 repair) that they claim was my fault and are taking no responsibility for. While I was waiting for my car to be finished, I noticed that my roof antenna was missing I then watched someone come from the car wash with the cover in his hand and give it to the guy finishing my car. They set it back in place and knew it was broken and wouldn't attach but they left it and tried to move on. They were going to try to let me drive away knowing damn well it was broken!! I approached the guys and asked why they were trying to play it off like it wasn't broken and they told me I had to go file an incident report inside. I went inside and filed everything since no manager was on site to assist. When I finally went back to my car to leave, the interior was so dusty and there was hair all over my seats. They said they don't take care of that! I called in everyday for a week trying to get ahold of someone and was told each time that I would hear back but never once received a call. Today I FINALLY got ahold of someone that could help and was told that there is no way the machine could have broken my antenna and that it came in that way. You couldn't even drive down the street without the antenna flying off if it was broken beforehand. They also conveniently didn't save the video footage inside the carwash to prove anything. This seems like a very obvious thing to do considering an incident report was filed. The employees, managers and owners are crooks and you should take your business to any of the other gas stations in the area before trusting these people with your vehicle. read more

The person on duty actually made me feel as if I was bothering her by coming in. I said hello -nothing back from the clerk. I said thank you and got nothing. Stopped here to get gas and use bathroom and get lotto tickets. Regular was 3.19 a gallon, but I wouldn't make it back to LA without it lol. Bathroom was clean for a gas station major shocker! Second chance given due to its convenient being next to my work. They clean windows good and vacuum the floor good but the attention to detail is slim to half butt effort. I paid for the gold 17.99 being guaranteed and informed of good work. Was told I'd have a lotion put on my dash and seats and side panels of my doors as well as a car freshener. Neither was done. My pictures show that. They half butted wiping my center dash console. And it even seem to have some type of over spray on my driver door door panel. If I had an extra 30 minutes I would of stayed but needed to be at work by 1015. Won't be going back nor will I refer it to any customers or 90 Of coworkers. Very disappointed. read more

I cant believe I am saying this about a gas station but you need to check out their soft serve frozen yogurt and deli. They actually have really great sandwiches there and a well stocked store. Gas is gas you can get it anywhere but this place has a lot more. Close the the freeway but not the easiest one to get to. Once you exit from north or south you actually have to drive past it then make a U-turn to get there but its worth it for good ice creme. Check it out. read more

I was extremely pleased with the detail service this location provided! The fabric seats of my car have definitely seen better days (a lot of camping/hiking/workouts have left quite a few stains). For 90$, they washed my car/tires, and shampooed all of my seats including the doors. All stains are now gone, and the car looks like How I bought it 3 years ago! Doesn't hurt that Crack Shack and in n out are right across the street to help kill time while you wait! read more

Bait & Switch Cost of gas showed as $.030 lower than actual price. In small writing where normally states that the higher price is with car, it says that the smaller price is only with carwash. I took my car in to get a mini detail done. After an hour and a half my toddler and I finally took off. When we got home, I went to get my son out of the car and realized that the guy cleaning my car left a RAZOR BLADE. A RAZOR BLADE RIGHT NEXT TO MY SON'S CARSEAT!!!!!!!!!! I immediately called the owner, Korin, and she said... "oh I 'm sorry....well mistakes happen. We have never had this complaint before" Not only should the idiot that left a razor blade right next to my son's carseat be fired but the idiot owner should not own ANY sort of business whatsoever. Not only did they put my son's life in danger, but they did a shit job. They told me they would wash the carpets and the seats and the seats didn't even get touched! Quick and easy- Meguiars certified!! Car came out great. They did charge an extra dollar for having an SUV which I think the guy taking my keys should of told me instead of the guy ringing me up at the register. I use to LOVE this place. What has happened? Have the workers slacked off, not getting enough pay or what is the deal? Not only do they not clean the car properly on the inside, leaving trash in the door pockets but the 10 cents back if you fill up seems to be dependent on the person working the cash register. Over the last 10 times I have gone, I maybe have gotten it once. What is the deal? They use to be honest, stand behind the promise of money back AND clean the car properly. Meh. Typical somewhat disappointing car wash - I guess since I'm used to doing this myself I never feel like others live up to my own version of clean. I feel I overpaid/they could've done better. I saw my car come out and then I realized I couldn't find it anywhere and had a small moment of panic. Turns out they ran it through a second time. Well, I'm ashamed to say but this car hadn't been washed since before our road trip to AZ for Thanksgiving- ouch - so it doesn't surprise me it needed it. They missed an interior spot on the windshield which sucks since that's always my one weak spot with cleaning at home but at least the majority of the car is mostly clean, and even pearl white again.
