Meh. Typical somewhat disappointing car wash - I guess since I'm used to doing this myself I never feel like others live up to my own version of clean. I feel I overpaid/they could've done better. I saw my car come out and then I realized I couldn't find it anywhere and had a small moment of panic. Turns out they ran it through a second time. Well, I'm ashamed to say but this car hadn't been washed since before our road trip to AZ for Thanksgiving- ouch - so it doesn't surprise me it needed it. They missed an interior spot on the windshield which sucks since that's always my one weak spot with cleaning at home but at least the majority of the car is mostly clean, and even pearl white again. For a car wash in North County, this is a pretty reliable place to go. WIth options as low as $9.99 for a basic hand-dried wash up to detailed services, this is a great place to go if you need a quick cleaning inside and out. I think this place is different because of the nice area to wait. Plus, the deli inside this gas station is GREAT! Grab a sandwich, a smoothie, or a coffee and wait inside or outside while your car is cleaned. Pro tip: give yourself plenty of time with this place. It can take up to an hour for your car to be serviced! Some of the more basic washes take less time but it's heavily frequented and that can cause a back up. read more

Took my daughter's MB in for a wash on a Sunday morning. They seemed to be asleep on the job on this particular day. They didn't wipe down the interior and they didn't vacuum very well either. Had to come home and finish up where they left off. read more

I will NEVER be coming back to this place. The exterior of my truck was dried before they left it for 10 mins and completely finished another car that came out after mine. And once it was 'done', I had to grab one of their rags and spend another few minutes on the inside by myself. I like my truck clean, almost debating taking it somewhere else to have the job finished. Be forewarned, avoid this place. read more

Gave this place a second chance after not being completely satisfied the first time because it's close to my job and I thought I could get my car washed on my lunch break. Think again...service so slow they couldn't get my car finished within an hour, and I got the "express wash!" I had to leave without having the car wiped down because lunch break was up. I ended up wiping the spots off the windows myself when I got home. AND cleaning the sand off the mats(that were vacuumed there) AND cleaning the center console/dash. Well, the tires were shiny but the rims were still dirty. (I posted a picture of one of the front tires) under my door handles were still dirty. Just a poor job over all. My dash board was not wiped off-it's still dusty. You couldn't pay me to go back to this place for a car wash, gas, or anything! They just made my car have a dirty shine... Not happy!!! I have been coming here to have my car washed since moving to the area. Every time they have done a good job and at a fair price. The team that handles the final prep does a great job of seeing that no spots get past them. The staff in general is professional but not particularly friendly. The waiting areas are comfortable with sofas and easy chairs inside and umbrella covered picnic tables outside. If you're looking to get a bite to eat for lunch or breakfast, the deli inside makes excellent sandwiches. They will continue to be my go to car wash. read more

I realize this is a gas station, but man I love this place. I work up the street, and the fact that I can come here and load up on candy, chips, a bomb sandwich from the deli and any kind of drink I want when I'm having a bad day makes my life that much better!! The people that work the register are super personable and friendly. Had to demote this place. Decided to get a car wash here yesterday and I wish I went somewhere else. The vacuum job was awful, and that was the main reason I went there. I asked if I could pay extra for a really good vacuum and the guy said he'd take care of it but it looked like it had never happen! If I could give these guys 10 stars I would! I've been to several detailing spots and paid hundreds of dollars to get my seats cleaned and none have been able to meet my expectations (especially based of their prices!). I've been here twice now and there's no one else I'll go to now. My seats look brand new and the overall interior exterior cleaning was just as good. Highly recommend this spot. Took a little over an hour but I got a coffee and worked in their free wifi spot. read more

I'm surprised at the low overall rating for this gas station and carwash. I have been coming here regularly to get the regular wash which includes vacuum and interior and exterior window wash and hand dry for only $15 (+1 for a truck or SUV). If you want to get the discounted gas, you get the carwash first. Then when you pick up your car you tell them you're going to get gas. Then you drive to the pump, bring the carwash ticket and pay for the carwash and gas. If you pay with a card and overestimate how much the gas will cost, the extra will be automatically refunded to your card. They do such a thorough job I can't imagine paying more for a hand wash elsewhere. I always tip an extra $5. Today they went above and beyond. I wish I'd gotten the names of the two men who helped me. After vacuuming my car, they found it wouldn't start. They checked the headlights (la luz) and some other things and said it looked like the battery was dead. I asked if they could jump it and one of them actually went offsite to get a jumper battery and cables. After a successful jump, he said not to turn the car off or it would need to be jumped again. I drove straight to pep boys and they confirmed that the battery had shorted out and needed to be replaced. This came with no warning and I was super grateful that the two guys that were working so hard at the car wash went above and beyond to help me so I didn't have to wait for AAA to come. read more

This is my favorite car wash by far. They have great prices and do a great job, but they do it quickly so you are not sitting around waiting too long. The $9.99 basic wash covers it all, inside and outside, and if you want to go up from there you can get very detailed work on tires, waxing etc. Plus, they have a great shop to browse in and the deli there is terrific! I know, you wouldn't think a deli in a gas station/car wash would be the place to be but it is really good food, sandwiches with Boars Head meat, smoothies, etc. Come here for a wash and lunch. This review is for the car wash - terrible!!! The front seat was fine so I never thought of checking back seat or trunk. They never vacuumed it at all (see photo). Also asked for jasmine fragrance which they did not do. Paid for a Gold wash and didn't even get a nickel wash! Only redeeming quality here is their deli - great sandwiches. read more

Love this place! Everyone is very nice. I get my car washed here weekly, and they always do a great job. They even buffed out a NASTY scratch on my bumper for just $10 and it only took 10 min. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the price/sign situation, it is very clear and at least from my experience in central and east county San Diego, a normal concept. Contrary to what yelp had listed, it is indeed open and seeking gas. The adjacent Extra Mile is clean and well stocked, and the bathroom is exceptional as far gas station bathrooms go. read more

Went to wash my car as I do almost every Sunday when I get a $28 car wash. The two guy were just hanging out and there were a couple of rain drops coming down. He said they were closed, when I drove up the sign said open. I was desperate for cleaning the inside for my work week and asked if I could have interior only and he refused. For a customer who spends up to $120 a month washing my car they seemed unwilling to do it. I went to another car wash to spend my $30.00. I paid $30 for a hand wash because I have a roof rack that can't go through the auto washer. There were tons of spots I noticed. When I pointed them out I was told the paint was oxidized and that a clay rub and wax was needed to get the spots off. This car is 3 months old. I doubt it's oxidized already. As I was driving, I noticed dirty streaks on my windows. Really? They couldn't even get the windows clean. I feel it was a total waste of money. When I called to complain they said they would re-wash it. I said I wanted a refund but they were only willing to give a partial refund. read more

I've been to this car wash twice at different times of the day. Both times, the exterior of the car wash had a few dried bits left to the roof. I also noticed that they did not completely clean the part of the car body where the driver side door's bottom rests. Great car wash, wax full interior cleaning and service at Chevron Car Wash Encinitas Blvd. Jose, Romero and Florentini are true professionals! This is my first time using the car wash services after having driven by many times. We were planning to detail our suv ourselves or hire a mobile detail person in the future. When I drove up today I intended to have the suv washed interior a bit and exterior and also vacuumed. Our suv needed some extra cleaning attention since returning from a set of trips we took this summer with our dog but we haven't had the time. In addition to hair and general camping type marks and grime, a passenger spilled Coke that made its way in between the seats, door and other areas where it was difficult to fully clean. From the beginning Jose listened attentively to my objectives and budget. The choices ranged from simple soft wash to full detail. Wow! Who would have thought a place co-located with a gas station here in town would have so many choices and a full staff? Jose was super accommodating and described the type of wax used to my husband over the phone when I called him about possibly having the suv detailed right then. Many times my husband will wax our cars himself, having learned that so many places use an inferior wax. We agreed to a full interior cleaning that included vacuuming, shampooing, leather and vinyl cleaning and leather waxing plus exterior wash, tire detail and exterior wax. Jose said it would take less than 2 hours and even offered to drive me home or to an area plaza to wait since I didn't plan this amount of time without a car. I don't know if the offer is always made. I typically try to go to car washes during the weekdays if possible to avoid the crowds and was successful in that there was not a long line up today. I arrived on Thursday at about 4:15. I was called promptly in less than 2 hours and told the car was ready. When we arrived Romero and Florenti were very attentive and asked us to review the car. It looked the best it has in many months! No dog hair, grime or icky Coke between the seats. They even made an area of the leather seats look great that I had tried to clean over the year several times and eventually gave up. The exterior looked great too! My husband had a couple of requests regarding the wax application; Romero and Florenti were quick to take care of these requests. I recommend this car wash and will be back regularly! Shitty customer service, rude cashier doesn't pay attention to people in line sits there and text doesn't make eye contact with anyone blatantly ignores existence of other people. I had a issues with the gas pump after prepaying for gas not only did I have to say excuse me every time I walked up to the register but she has no customer service skills she leaves a really bad impression on customers.
