If your service station is a major stop along a long, lonely highway and you allow the majority of your urinals to be out of order for months on end, that's a fail. Being frequently out of Diesel and having issues with the payment system on your pumps and also not putting out squeegees and windshield cleaning fluid really doesn't help matters either. I can't really say much positive about this place. The general vibe they're conveying is, "We know you don't have a lot of choices out here in the hinterlands so we're not going to put any effort into our offering". Current female cashier has giving an older Hispanic man maybe in his mid to late 50s grief and telling very loudly that he can not buy cigarettes without a United States ID. This is not true and I hate when people make up fake information and don't want to serve someone cause they have a green card or passport while traveling. Here is the correct info, hope this station has a team meeting and has a discussion about the rules and regulations to sell Tobacco or alcohol. Acceptable Forms of Identification (e.g., State-issued driver's license or identification card, military identification card, passport or immigration card) for establishing a legal age to purchase FDA regulated tobacco products. I'm writing a review just because there are actual reviews on a gas station in Tonopah that's unclaimed...I want in on the fun =) There's a sign indicating this is the last gas stop for the next 100 miles. This also indicates that this is the last place to use the bathroom if you didn't want to pull over on the side of the road... Speaking of.. Bathrooms: The men's bathroom was used in the set of the movie Saw..or it's a direct replica. Dirty, no paper towels, dingy, and super depressing. Kudos for having toilet paper and thank goodness I didn't have to use it. Subway and Burger King - After seeing the men's room, I skipped considering getting food from either franchise Market: great selection of snacks, drinks and the coffee was decent. The cashier was friendly and moved the line quickly. Gas Stations: 12 total stations that are wonderfully spaced from each other in one straight line. You won't wait long if you have to at all. Bad luck if you have to use the bathroom. Good luck if you chance the bathroom Burger King or Subway. Best bet, load up on gas, grab some snacky snacks and drinks before you drive off into the 95. Nice employees, decent bathroom located inside the building so bad for people like my 4 year old who needed use of one well it was closed. Pumps are on 24/7 but here is the really bad business part of this. I just drove 3 days from Oklahoma and needed to rest with my daughter before the 3 hours to be home up north near Reno. Well the pumps being 24 hours has 3 signs at the edges of the parking lot one located on the left SIDE post all of these are not clearly seen might I add. Nothing on the door or pumps alerting us sorry can't park for more the 10 minutes or we hook up to your car wake you up and make you leave the vehicle making a single mother and child stuck in this small town with no way to get home. So tell me how fair it is to pay for your fuel then park for a few hours of rest in the center area with no blocking of anything or near buildings that have clear yellow parking lines bit nothing alerting anyone hey this is the worst scenario you will face. I was lucky and the owner of the tow company let me know about his 3 signs and also told me about the BIRGHT PARKING AREA WHERE YOU WILL GET NO SLEEP AT ALL. Still he was very nice about my situation. I understand the laws on no parking other then rest stops. Isn't a gas station a rest stop when pumps are on 24 hours? Well according to what a travel plaza is to I think everyone who has driven long distances such as myself for safety reasons parking overnight at pumps that are in use 24 hours a day they must have a well lit pump area and in my experience spaces away from the buildings on the property away from the flow of traffic coming on and off said property is exempt from the parking laws and is then classified under the rest stop laws due to there being some sort of needed service and in this case fuel and safe parking away from the highway as well as not having blinding lights in the parking are but enough to see clearly. There is no classification for Gas stations such as this in the law. This is the loophole that can be a catch 22 for someone who would like to challenge this ordinance as well as the signage not being properly posted for everyone to clearly see so there is no misunderstanding on the traveler/local Community. What is the classification of 24 hour fuel stations in Nevada State? Counties? What is the state and counties definition of a rest stop? I am going to see where the nearest rest stop...lol is on hwy 95 North...lol I feel sorry for truck drivers this struggle is not just theirs but everyone's problem when they find out what the worst thing is that can happen and in my case the best since the tow truck driver told move or I will hook you up this parking lot is a no over night lot. I'm a 4 star fan of this Chevron, but not of the gas prices. It was $2.99 (and 9 tenths), for regular gas. It was $2.60 in CA and I thought that was high as it was. The station has lots of pumps and they all take credit cards. Despite all the reviews of dirty bathrooms, they seemed fine to me, not fancy clean like a Vegas strip Casino, but nothing like the previous reviews. There is road food and coffee here as well as subway and burger king. So get gas and a Whopper for the road and you're all set! The only downside/negative is that they are open from 0600-2200. Everything else is as good as it gets. Spotlessly clean restrooms, courteous employees, 20 gas pumps to service vehicles, a well-stocked Convenience Store, & a Burger King & Subway all in the same building. Huge parking area if you want to catch a few winks in a safe place. NO SERVICE FOR THE NEXT 100 MILES, if you are heading NORTH and there is a photo showing this sign. READ & HEED. I make it a point to stop here whether I've heading North or South & have done so on numerous occasions for the past 4 years. read more

I've stopped here a lot during my excursions through Nevada. Even slept in this very parking lot when I found I couldn't go anymore. The place is clean with clean bathrooms, lots of gas pumps, a huge parking lot and a drive through for the Burger King if you don't need gas. There's also a subway. So Burger King/ Subway if you're tired of gas station food and of course the regular C store kinds of things. Plus several tables out front of you need time out of the car. People have always been friendly and the coffee is decent. Gas is a little cheaper within Tonopah. Oh and it's far enough away from the clown motel so none of those creepy clowns will break free and get you. That place gives me the heebee geebees..... bad. Nice place to stop. read more

This gas station had a lot of pumps and a fair price in the middle of nowhere. The food mart was packed to the gills with people and so were the restaurants. The restrooms were pretty clean (like I said - it was super busy, so not great). Despite what the other reviews said, I didn't have a problem with the employees at all. Most of my problems came from the other customers. Two people almost got into a fistfight in the parking lot and I had a lovely encounter with some guy who had been road-raging on everyone. I needed gas...LOL Usually people in Nevada have a reputation for not being nice. Well, the FIRST time we came to this Chevron, I was just looking around to grab some over priced drinks and snacks for the road. They had a Burger King and a Subway (of course) LOL. The chubby cashier didn't say 'hi' when I got to the counter but rather, " is there anything I can help you find..." (in an attitude type of way) I'm like 'no' and of course we where in Tonopah, NV and there's no other gas station for 100 miles... ughhhh. Anyway, I asked if they had cash back, she was like no but there's an ATM over by the entry door...Ok Captain obvious I saw that when I entered, but thanks...smh LOL. Not really sure which business out of the 3 here maintain the bathrooms but the women's restroom is disgusting. It smells like sewage, the toilets don't flush, and there's no seat covers. I'm not about to sit on a toilet seat with crap all over it. read more

This place is disgusting. Not just the gas station part itself.. But the restaurants themselves. Floors are sticky, tables not wiped down, condiments on the floor, the counter behind them is the worst. The workers are rude. They were more concerned about gossip then they were actually asking what you would like. Trash everywhere!!! The older guy with glasses that works subway was smoking outside and didn't even bother to wash his hands. The chili dog my mother got from Burger King was hard as a rock. I didn't even bother to go into the bathrooms. I would avoid this place in the future, maybe you should too or at least bring your sanitary napkins to wipe down tables and chairs. read more

Middle of no where, but good place to stop and get gas, and they had Pepsi fountain machine so got my cup refilled. The prices for both the gas and soda refill were reasonable and I would have no problem stopping here again if Im on route from Vegas to Reno. read more
