Many of the aisles were bare. This was weeks ago and there were no markdowns yet in early June. Back to the ice cream, I have often chosen pistachio, cookies n cream, or chocolate malted crunch. Inexpensive and good ice cream! I have seen Thrifty's ice cream in the frozen aisles at grocery stores. Sure, I can purchase 'em there and have it at home. Not quite the experience of purchasing on a cone or a cup at Rite Aid. Have gone to this location a couple of times, another in Torrance and in Norwalk for my scoop ice cream and friend's/fam's scoops. They were always generous scoops too. Aw, thanks for the memories!

I normally don't shop here because I really don't like the layout of all their stores. I've…read morerecently been visiting this store, ever since the Covid-19 pandemic because there has been lines outside of their competitor, CVS, down the street. Again, due to the flu outbreak, they are all out of toilet paper, facial tissue, paper towels, and water. The thing is, they don't look like they are going to be replenishing those items any time soon, so I don't know how often they get their deliveries. Due to this, the good news is that there aren't very many shoppers in the store, in case you are looking to purchase vitamins or other general merchandise. What they do have plenty of are Thrifty's (their brand) ice cream. The freezers are stocked full with it, along with cases of beer.

She has ZERO people skills, no customer service abilities and has no business being a manager of any sort. I have been coming here for almost 30 years and their management in their pharmacy has left a lot to be desired. Their prior manager, Paul had absolutely zero people skills as well. Looks like they went from bad to worse with Lee. Not only did she hang up in my face, prior to that she refused to listen to what I needed before putting me on hold and coming back with a holier than thou attitude in every word coming out of her mouth. Details: I ordered a prescription to be delivered yesterday and paid for it. It was supposed to be delivered before close of business yesterday. This morning I get a text asking if I'm still picking up my RX. I replied no since it was supposed to be delivered as I paid for it already. Immediately I received another text saying ok we cancelled your order, let us know when you want it refilled. Naturally I called because I need my prescription and I had ordered and paid for it yesterday. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Lee. Instead of listening to my question, she kept saying things that had nothing to do with my problem. I got frustrated and raised my voice a little to try to get her to listen to me and she then WENT OFF on me. I asked for the manager and she said "I am the manager" and hung up on me. This was a very simple error on their part that could've been easily handled and should not have ruined anyone's day. People who go to a pharmacy for prescriptions should not be treated the way Lee treats people. I have cancer (in remission), coronary heart disease, anemia, and a plethora of other ailments that I need medicine for. I don't need the stress of having to listen to someone like Lee tell me to check with my credit card company to see if a payment has gone through when it had nothing to do with what I needed. Of course my credit card went through, I'm on express pay with the pharmacy! Not only are her customer service skills, and people skills waning, her thinking process apparently wasn't working today either. This is my last straw with this pharmacy. I have gotten many different solicitations to have my prescriptions delivered by mail free of charge by various different companies. I am definitely going to look into those because I am not ever going to deal with Lee again. I have way too many health problems to have to be verbally abused and berated by my pharmacist. But from a customer service standpoint, you could forget it. Literally one guy to do everything behind the counter. As a result, even three or four people in line are going to take forever. While in line, a guy came in with a backpack and must have stolen seven or eight items. But guess what? As the owner of this particular location, when you only have one person working behind the counter, you're inviting that type of individual who will take advantage of that chaos. Street people are smarter than most others give them credit for. That's why they have what they call Street smarts!
