Beware, the owner/attendant at this place is a scammer and pathological liar. I counted the exact amount of money I was pre-paying twice ($57) before handing it to the cashier through the deposit drawer since it was late at night. The pump stopped at $50 so I went back to the cashier to get change thinking the tank had just filled up. He insisted that I had only given him $50 and turned into a belligerent asshole about it shouting at me and telling me to "go on and complain to corporate." Shortly after, rather forutitously, a pair of CHP officers stopped at the gas station having just pulled someone over from the 101. Before they left, I told them what had happened and asked if there was anything they could do. They were overly helpful and went inside to talk to the owner. Unfortunately, he stuck to his story and there wasn't much else they could do. If this was just a one-time occurrence I'd be wiling to accept that it could have been a mistake; however, reading all of the reviews makes it very obvious that this is a very shady gas station to be avoided. read more

DON'T buy snacks or drinks at this Chevron unless you check the expiration date! I bought 3 snacks & 1 Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drink in the glass jar. Two out of 3 snacks were expired. My Starbucks Frappuccino drink was also 2 weeks past the expiration date. UGH!!! read more

As others have already stated here, the gas station charges much more than neighboring stations. The one star review I'm giving, however, is because of their deceitful signage. The large marque sign with the gas prices is for cash only, and using a card will result in 20 cents more per gallon. Echoing the reviews about the horrible car wash. Literally the worst car wash experience I've ever had. An attendant (his mask around his nose) felt the need to yell at me about where to place my car. He directed me to the wrong place and my car wasn't pulling forward on the track. It left the wash still completely soapy and I am waiting at the Laurel Canyon Chevron car wash as we speak. Cheaper and it actually works. read more

The price on the board is the discounted price that you get if you purchase a car wash with your gas. The regular price without a car wash is $.30 higher. Today when I purchased a car wash with my gas, I just happened to notice that the pump was charging me $.30 higher than the posted price. So not only is it a teaser rate, but they still don't even lower the price when you do purchase a car wash. Scam. I will never be back. read more

The large LED sign CLEARLY said regular gas was $3.69/gallon. I paid and pumped, and noticed that the meter was charging me $3.89/gallon. I went in and asked the attendant wtf, and he pointed out a microscopic blue sign at ground level stating that using a debit card somehow magically increases the price. There is no way I could've seen this tiny sign at the angle I drove in, and I think it's shady as all get-out. I specifically chose this station because the price appeared cheaper than the competitors, only to get screwed. When I paid with my debit card at the counter, the clerk should have confirmed with me. This is a really dirty way of taking advantage of people. Either own up to this greed and clearly advertise your prices, or just charge one price for debit, credit and cash users. I guess you're just counting on people not paying attention? Shame on you. Congrats, Chevron - you got an extra $2.40 from me! (And lost a customer.) read more

I just went there because I have a gift card for Chevron. When I went in and asked the cashier if the gift card would be read it, he told me in a very bad tone that is cash only. I just went and asked help with the gift card, but he was very rude. I would not recommend anyone this place because his attitude is not appropriate toward customers. By the way I always go to the Shell across the street and never had an issue in more than 10 years. read more

Denied the restroom to a 5 year. Unprofessional customer service. We asked to use the restroom for my daughter, his answer was "customers only" my wife let him know only our daughter would use the restroom under our watch. Again his response "the restroom is for customers only" with a rude attitude. I understand this policy and would have purchased snacks for the rest of our 3 hour trip. However, the tone and attitude taken towards us pushed us away. Good to see another friendly business close by who kindly let our daughter use the restroom. read more

This gas station has one price advertised for people that has Chevron cards but they charge the regular price at the pump. Case in point, sign states Cash/Chevron Card $3.99 per gallon on regular gas, the pump charges Credit /Debit price of $4.19 per gallon. A nice chevron, easy in and out, and across the street from Hugo's. It is clean and I found the cashier pleasant and polite.

Kind of expensive bc it's in a high traffic flow area. Also, it's hard to get out of because of traffic.

I am not old enough to drive ( I put a fake date on my yelp) although I do bike and skateboard. On the way to Val Surf (a skateboard,surfing,snowboarding shop) I would get myself a treat which are ridiculously overpriced to the fact when I won't get anything and then I'll be starving almost tall day until I get home read more

I drove in from Vegas for the Christmas holiday and my daughter threw up in the car. I pulled over into this gas station to clean her up and all I needed to do was have her change her pants after I cleaned everything else. When I walked into the gas station, change of pants in hand, I was denied the bathroom because I wasn't a paying customer. I explained to the cashier that I she just throw up and we just needed to change her pants. He told me he couldn't open the door for me. I stated once again, she just threw up and I said have some compassion. He still told me no so I said Happy Holidays and left. The signage at this gas station is purposely misleading. On the big sign above for all to see it gives you one price and it says above it "cash/chevron credit card." If your not careful while you're driving you might read as I did "cash/credit card." But lower on the ground behind some bushes and in significantly smaller letters it says the credit card price and this is significantly more than the price advertised in giant numbers above. The price today was ten cents more than the Shell station across the street that had honestly and openly put their cash and credit card difference out in the open. I know this is the new thing at Gas Stations but I can't stand it. These are franchises and these owners know what they are doing and they sleep well at night knowing they tricked a few customers into paying more. Plus the owner, who has a station at Laurel and Riverside (another Chevron) made racist comments to me. NEVER AGAIN will I buy even 25 cent air here again.
