Everytime I go into this place they're super helpful and efficient. The place is nothing to look at but great to do business with.

Let me start my review by saying that this review is ONLY FOR THEIR PHARMACY/STAFF!!! I will deal with the store another time. That's a whole other story. I have been going to this particular CVS pharmacy for over 35 years to be exact. Not ONCE did I have a problem with any of their employees or pharmacists!! Over the years people came and left, but the customer service remains EXCELLENT, EXCEPTIONAL & FLAWLESS!! From picking up medication, to dropping off prescriptions, consulting information pertaining to any type of medication, or issues/allergies, side affects. They are hands on and SPOT ON! They will even get in contact by calling or emailing your doctor within minutes. I can't mention any particular staff member, since they are ALL SO GREAT!! I even got flu/shingles shots and they work like a PRO! They are fast, quick, nice, patient, helpful,professional,efficient, courteous, and they all work hard to satisfy everybody's needs. There is always a long line, but their fully stocked employees clear that line in less than 15 minutes. They almost have all medications/vaccines on their shelves; most of the time. I mean you are dealing with people's health. Their automated service is prompt, messages are returned on timely manner, transactions are always completed w/out any glitches. And they truly are the BEST! Plenty of parking shared with so many other businesses. If I could give this pharmacy/staff 10 SOLID STARS, then I would! This pharmacy is a consistent nightmare. The drop off/consultation workers are awful, every time. I don't know why they feel it necessary to ask if my medication is actually needed, or why I need it, every time. One time one I was asked I responded "do you think I would be here standing in front of you if I didn't need it?" And still her face was blank. I need to give an update because not only has Adam continued to help me sort through my insurance changes, but also Jennifer Pham has been awesome as well. This is NOT the closest pharmacy to me. In fact I have moved twice since I lived nearby. But I continue to have my prescriptions filled here because the pharmacists and staff treat me like a neighbor; they remember my name, they're aware of any brand vs. generic changes, and they genuinely care about my health. Yes, this pharmacy is busy and yes the line can be long at times, but that's probably because it's a good/reliable pharmacy. read more

I stopped by this CVS since it was near to grab some toiletries and necessary items for a trip. It didn't feel the safest compared to other CVS, but it had all the products stocked. Organization was confusing at times, and those printed receipts go on for days, like a trolly middle school speech unrolling onto the staircase. This is my "go to" location for fast, efficient and courteous vaccines! They deliver literally the most painless shots I have gotten in my life ... from such nice people. I used to stopped by here coming from Westwood. Either to use their facility or pick up some snack. It is a mini from the other store that I go to. Good for grab and go. They have the usual basics. But some of the products are locked up. Hmm a lot of thief in the area huh??!! The store seems clean, organized and some shelves needs restocking. They don't have a self check out. We went to CVS and bought a $200 Amazon gift card. We went home and the card numbers were all scratched off. We checked all the other Amazon cards same thing so it's a CVS Amazon problem. CVS told us to contact Amazon and Amazon told us that CVS needed to refund us. The employees are very friendly but not able to half us. We lost $200. People are nice but the culture of the company is "how can we screw our customers better"... specials that they don't honor unless you ask for them at the checker, after they offer them on the shelves... extra bucks don't show in account at the checker... they say that you need to bring the paper but at the same time when you get to pay they ask how you want your receipt... First of all I'd like to say that we have been coming here for over 20 years. Besides the obvious decline in customer service and cleanliness we continue to go here for my disabled mothers medications. We have had our share of rude understaffed Pharmacy employees call my mom a drug addict because she is very sick and takes cocktails of medications. Today takes the cake. My mother went in for a shot and toilet paper. Now again, my mom is older, disabled and looks a bit unkempt in the morining, but nothing justifies being accused of stealing. She was almost physically attacked, had to be held back by other employees, by an older middle aged woaman in heavy heavy makeup. I am sure she wants to protect her minimum wage job but attacking people is not a way to deescalate! My mom called crying and I went over and the story the heavily made up middle aged woman was funny! She said my mom stole there before and I asked her when? She then changed her story to the manager told her this and I was like, great can I speak to her? Then she changed it to they told her month ago and the person, who remains nameless, does not in fact work there. So I was like, do you have footage of her stealing, No. Do you have the picture, she claims, of my mom stealing, again no. No proof, just profiling an older, innocent woman, who is disabled for not dressing up or wearing pounds of makeup like her would be assaulter. Now the fun part! We are not only filing a complaint with the police, CVS corperate, but a quick search of CVS discrimination lawsuits may be something my lawyer, thank god I have a lawyer!, may want to discuss with my mom. Please do not shop here. They are under staffed, rude, over priced, dirty and the heavily made up employees look more like the last call at a dive bar then day time minimum wage stockers. This pharmacy doesn't answer their phone, nor do they return phone messages. I had a prescription called in by a doctor from a virtual appointment. I needed to get my prescription delivered. So I called to request delivery as I could not get to the physical store. I left a message in detail and waited for the promised phone call back. It never happened. I tried to call again but could not get past the answering machine. These people don't care about you. read more

The non stop CVS I'm grateful for in 2021! This place aka CVS Studio City Volume 1 stays busy, especially the pharmacy and pharmacy area where they administer vaccinations. I've been in a few times more recently in April to get both my vaccinations shots( I'm done)... And have started partaking in shopping more as well. The buy two get one deal has been a reward favorite for taking care of my health in the form of Mike-and-Ikes and Dots candy. Much like the location across the street you can enter from the corner of Ventura Blvd and Laurel Canyon or through the parking lot. The check area is closer to the parking lot entrance and usually keeps a steady pace as they have plenty of employees in the store including some on the floor on ocassion. They carry a few more unique items to the area especially in the refrigerated section including some dairy free ice cream, and frozen items. The cold beverages sell quick, so certain ones maybe low or not stocked which is kind of a bummer, but hey hydrating is essential. The displays and endcaps are usually close to perfect and the floors always clear and clean. While the pharmacy area is seeing even more of a flux... It's definitely a little clunky at times with floor signs and the vaccination and post vaccination area being along a well shopped isle for allergy medication and misc wellness products. Other than that the isles are plenty wide and the store is easy to navigate. Parking is very easy off Laurel Canyon behind the store, but public transit in the area is also extremely easy as well. 2 days ago, I booked an appointment to get an updated covid vaccine and didn't find out until I had already arrived that they didn't get their vaccine shipment that day. Rodney at the pharmacy told me that he would call me when they got in a new shipment and would honor me as a walk-in even though they don't take walk-ins for my vaccine type. This evening I got a call from him letting me know that they had just gotten in a shipment and he administered it to me when I arrived around 7 pm, even though the pharmacy usually stops doing vaccines at 6 and even recognized me in line, despite us only meeting once previously! This is my usual pharmacy and they're always efficient and good, but I'm absolutely blown away by Rodney's customer service and professionalism. He went out of his way to accommodate me and I am very grateful. read more

I arrived to this CVS for paper prints after 9am, and knocked on the door because the automatic doors weren't opening although I saw customers in there. The rep at the counter saw me and didn't let her 50 other employees walking around to assist me. I finally realized I needed to walk through the parking lot entrance. A group of the employees were standing around & someone told another employee to open the same doors I was outside of and he responded "we don't open those until 10" and refused. There's no sign that says go around back or they could've simply said that or waved or anything. I asked how to use the kiosk, the manager was condescending and rude. The kiosk moves at a snails pace despite using the AirPrint feature. It literally took 30 minutes to upload 16 documents. Then another 20 minutes for it to actually print. NEVER AGAIN. BEWARE of this store. For 30 years my wife and I loved this store, then they hired a new pharmacy manger and store manager. What used to be a lovely place with great customer car turned into a nightmare. The staff is rude, inattentive and make constant mistake in filling prescriptions. It is ONLY your health. I've been coming to this CVS on and off for at least 10 years. The parking lot is a tad busy, but not impossible to conquer. This store is big, has a great selection of products and I like that all the shelves and organization it's the same since I first starting shopping here. I'm glad they didn't try to mess with it so it's easier for me to shop, I know where things are, so it speeds up the process. Hopefully they'll leave it alone, they messed with a closer CVS and they made it hard to shop, that's why I stop by at this one in Studio City when I'm in the area. They also have a decent stock, which is a major plus. Decent location, opened 24 hours, so when in need, this store is a great resource. read more

This review is about CVS, the company & its new phone system. These are the problems w/ the new system: 2) there is no way to reach a pharmacist directly, and 2) while you're trying to do so, the system keeps you going around in circles until you feel like a raving homicidal maniac. But this is ONLY the phone system. The people who labor at the pharmacy itself are working hard at - and succeeding at - doing a great job! And they're nice! But in addition, I just went on a Reddit Q&A about what it's actually like to work for a CVS store - pharmacy & in other areas of the store - and it sounds like these poor guys are really up against it: shifting & patched-together schedules, understaffed and increasing amounts of work that need to get done more & more quickly. It sounds bad and since CVS & Walgreens are closing hundreds of stores and since Rite Aid declared bankruptcy, it makes me wonder about what's really going on with these companies... read more

I've started coming to this location more and more recently and I believe some staff and possibly the management has changed (for the better). Store staff wise I prefer this location to the one across the street, they're a lot friendlier and have been very helpful when I can't find a product or need a suggestion. I have never had any problems with the pharmacy here but I'm also not any dire medication. I have noticed this pharmacy tends to be very busy. If you keep an eye out for sales you can actually save a lot at cvs and I actually really like a lot of cvs brand products. Sometimes when I go they have samples handed out in the beauty section which I love. All and all I think this is a solid cvs. read more

I have had one of the worst nights of my life. Lost a whole family. And on my way to get my meds, I lost my phone in this store. The only upside to this hell of life that we've all be thrown into since lockdown? 2 humans, yadira and Stephanie. When I wandered back in to see if this was the place I lost my phone, they both knew who I was and returned me phone to me. And that's great. It might be nothing to write home about, but I'm pretty sure they cleaned and charged my lost phone before I even came in to find it. These women are queens. read more

Open 24 hours! This CVS gets the edge over the one across the street because it's open 24 hours. And yes, you read that correctly. There is another CVS right across the street. I don't know who's bright idea that was, but there it is. Which CVS I go to is usually determined by which side of the street I'm driving down. But again, this one is open 24 hours so it gets the edge. As far as everything else goes? It's a CVS. It's clearly a little older, but it's got everything you would expect/need. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Outside - Drugstores Near Me - Studio City, California

There is a parking lot, so that knocks this location up a star. But they don't have the cool "check your CVS rewards" display that more modern locations have. So I feel like I didn't get to download a $5 coupon I have in my account. Who knows? I'm not clear how that progam works. But this is a pretty well organized and well-stocked location. It's on my way home from church so if I need something, I'll pull in. Staff is a little hard to find if you need help - it's sort of a cavernous store and if you find yourself needing to find something a little unusual, you're going to have to hunt for help. On the plus side, they have a lot of stuff - so they probably have it. You're just going to have to find someone to ask. read more

Trying to call about a prescription? Don't bother they don't answer the phone. Have your doctor fill a prescription? Don't bother they don't check them and wait for you to psychically walk in, even AFTER they said they'd call you. It's actually dangerous how little they care about their patients and their medical regimens. They used to be so on-top of their patients and customer service but the last 2 years it's been a nightmare. I have multiple prescriptions and they never can manage to have a single one of them ready. 5 stars but I felt profiled the way you guys called security on me over the loudspeaker. I've been dressing in oversized clothes because I have had a disability for the past few years, and it really hurt my feelings the way you guys were so obvious about calling security to check if I was stealing. I understand that stores view baggy clothes as a red flag and I should have contained my emotions. My suggestion is that you find a better way to communicate to security that you think someone is stealing(especially one who was 100% planning on paying, and did pay for my items), because you guys were extremely obvious. And if it bothers you so much for customers to walk around with product in their hand, then you should provide handheld baskets at the entrance as some of your customers are disabled and cannot push a full-sized cart. I apologize for how I spoke to the employees and for accidentally knocking over that gum display on my way out, I was really angry and flustered and not paying attention and my bags were heavy and i had my phone and keys in my hand, i didn't think the display was gonna fall over. I should have offered to pick it up in the moment but I was mad and embarrassed and in my ego and kept yelling and left, which was really arrogant and disrespectful of me. I tried calling the store when I got home to apologize, but it was closed, I will call again, but if you would like me to pay for any damages I may have caused and as apology to the workers, please message me on here. I was really upset but I should have controlled my emotions and behaved more respectfully, I know the workers were just doing their job and maybe what they did was protocol, it just hurt my feelings the way that they went about it. First time shopping at this location. If I could give zero stars I would. On April 30, 2023 Kevin A and his two cashiers were beyond rude and belittling. After waiting for 8 minutes for someone to open a locked box, my boyfriend and I go up to the register and we hear a voice say "over here". Unclear where the voice was coming from, I say "there?" And he sarcastically answers "No over there" and pint away with his head. My boyfriend asked "what?" And the rude little boy (without a name tag) said "oh I was being sarcastic." Only because we needed allergy medicine did I end up giving this place my money and went through with the transaction. I said something about him being rude especially after waiting for so long and I hear the other cashier say "oh she's mad". Poor job de-escalating. The apology? "I didn't know you were waiting that long." Do better CVS. Kevin A who looks like a leader on duty is a joke of an image to your company.
