I told the clinic "I'm making this appointment to get setup with meds for my narcolepsy since I'm down to my last 2 bottles of Wakix." They take me back. NP looks at my sleep study and says in the nice HR voice "this case is way too complex for me to handle so well just schedule you to meet the doctor." so I basically had to pay $130 for a 5 minute meeting with the NP to tell me "I can't handle this." This is exactly why I asked if they wanted me to have my previous clinic in FL to fax over everything. I'm only getting an additional appointment this time to see the MD instead of the NP. I'm hoping the MD actually helps me. Otherwise that's going to be nearly $200 wasted. I CAN NOT handle stimulants due to my previous medical history. I got the feeling the NP just wanted to throw Adderall at me to manage the symptoms but I might just be talking out of frustration here. Absolutely not impressed here. Hopefully the MD can help me.
