Do NOT use their service department!!! This has been one of the most frustrating service experiences I've ever had. The job was left clearly incomplete, with obvious issues that a competent department should have never missed. Even worse was the communication--or lack of it. Calls and messages went unanswered, updates were nonexistent, and when I did finally get a response, it was vague, dismissive, and unhelpful. I had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic information that should have been communicated upfront. This department shows a complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and respect for the customer's time. I would strongly advise anyone considering this service to look elsewhere unless they're prepared to chase answers and accept substandard work. When I called to complain, the service member Jailen Smith was rude, unprofessional, and even took the call on speaker and had others laughing at my frustrations. We have purchased four vehicles from Chevyland, two this year, and have never been met with such blatant disrespect for our business, time, and money. read more

As a woman, not being a mechanic, and as someone who paid a lot of extra $$ to the company upon purchasing my vehicle in order to ensure the best coverages and warranties for the times where I did need help - I would expect to be treated fairly at minimum by the staff. Salesman on the floor are great(ShoutoutBBB!!). The GM Jerry is great. The service department manager, Josh and some of the other guys back there are Not. While Robert handled my scenario at the time and was respectful to me - he did not ensure his promise to me as a customer who was being harassed was upheld. Can't blame the staff too much when the standards are clearly set very low. I am sure they deal with some very irate folks given the likelihood that everyone going in there is because something has gone wrong and now they are without a vehicle and paying unexpected costs to get their vehicle repaired. Being as well versed in service myself, I can only imagine some of the scenarios they may have to deal with. WITH that being said and let me also reiterate that I am by no means a difficult customer, I do not talk down, cuss, or make passive aggressive comments while conversing with them. my experience-Secondary battery goes out and I cannot change it myself. towed to Chevyland where I purchased the vehicle and warranties from. I need assistance in understanding how the extra warranties I purchased at the day of closing on the vehicle have no aid. I understand the part needs to be ordered. What I don't understand is them telling me it will be a couple to a few days, and then extending it to about 2 weeks this happened about a year ago and is relevant to my experience yesterday. unacceptable treatment by Josh and where Robert fell short of upholding his role, though Robert was very respectful and apologetic for Josh's behavior, it seems he failed to truly acknowledge and coach Josh on the importance of creating a welcoming and safe environment for all and the importance of helping clientele to understand the processes of which we must go through. I return to Chevyland a few days after bringing my vehicle, after not getting a clear answer or understanding over the phone as to why my service was being delayed by 1.5-2weeks for a simple battery change that should have been covered under the 3 warranty/coverages I purchased, I was directed to the service department manager - Josh. I do not say this lightly, it is very obvious that he was giving me "the run around" and was not interested in taking any time to really explain to me and help me understand why this was being delayed so long and why he would not give me one of his rental vehicles as this went from a few days to a couple weeks- Josh is like 6'5 very built. I am 5'4 on a good day and soft spoken as I am already shutting down at him getting aggravated that I don't have the same knowledge as a mechanic does. None of my questions were unreasonable or out of the ordinary. This man was flailing his arms and exhibiting aggressive body language, red in the face-YELLING at me. a man 3x my size is yelling at me in front of about 10-15 people and standing over me waiving his arms around I had to step away from the situation and leave because at that point I was pretty much in tears and wasn't going to continue to be belittled and yelled at inside a place of service and business. I had to pass the situation along to my partner who also got nasty treatment from him. Employees informed me he didn't want to give me a rental for something having to do with his monthly bonus. this is where Robert was called to step in profusely apologizing for Josh's behavior and finally got us the rental car and ensured our vehicle would be priority again for a battery chang I requested to see my vehicle and was taken to the back by one of the mechanics. They had my vehicle parked in the 1 spot of this very open lot covered with broken glass. when I went to pick up my vehicle I was promised by Robert I would not have to deal with Josh any further or be harassed in any way by him and that he was instructed to in fact stay away from me. As I'm walking out he follows me out the door right behind me to my driver door. Extremely uncomfortable. Yesterday had to bring car in. Josh stood in the window staring me down. had I known my warranty expired would never have gone back. I wont ever do any business here again and know many people with similar horrible experiences with Josh. threatening and hateful behavior to customers. unfortunately had to leave my car there yesterday because it happened at 5oclock. Young man with black cowboy hat and BBB were wonderful to me and so was the driver who took me to enterprise. But I will never return and advise others to not do business here. My mother just left the facility distraught and crying due to a services associate Phillip Lott abrasively talking to her in a demeaning tone and disrespectful gestures. My mom called yesterday September 9, 2025 and spoke with someone who told her she had a free oil change and tire rotation. That was not honored when she arrived so instead of Mr..Lott letting my mom explain herself he thought it would be best to belittle her. My mom is a 70 year old grandmother who normally doesn't handle automotive issues but since my father has been ill she has to do this. My Chevy HHR hesitated when starting. After the battery tested good, I brought it to Chevyland and said I thought it needed a starter. It was in their shop for about 4 days and they couldn't reproduce the problem. I took it home and the hesitation continued. One time it didn't start at all (luckily in my garage). Silence when I turned the key, electrical items lighted up. After 20 minutes, the car hesitated, but started, so I drove it back to Chevyland. After about another 3 days, they still couldn't reproduce the problem. I went to Chevyland a third time and explained (with my making noises) what was wrong and again suggested it was the starter. Two days later, they finally were able to reproduce the problem and it was....wait for it....the starter! They then charged me $1000 plus $100 tax to replace the starter, much more than it should have been. They previously offered a discount for all my trouble, but had no memory of it when asking for payment of the full amount. They are nice people. However, they are mechanically inept and charge too much. AVOID! read more

I took my car to go get an oil changed and i was waiting for an hour saying that my plug/cap to drain my oil on my car was too tight and that it could be a unmarket cap from the previous people I went and that they will have to drill it out for $135. I took my car to the previous shop that did my car and they told me that the plug was not unmarket and that chevyland was drilling on the plug and use the wrong ranch to get the plug out causing it to tight. When i call and told chevyland what they did they try to deny everything and say my plug been looked like that. If my plug already looked like that the previous people who did my oil would have notified me and told me to get another one. I brought my vehicle 15' Camaro to this dealership on 06/22/22 for repair based on the findings of a/c compressor less than 3 months ago at this same location. After returning to have said repair complete I was advised additional repairs needed to the core, and coolant door. No problem in having the repairs complete on my end. I was initially advised my vehicle repairs would be complete by 06/25/22 and I would have my car returned. This seemed pretty quick I was anticipating at least being without my car for a week. When I attempted to confirm completion through the assigned tech Sean, I was met with no response via phone. I had to make a pop up visit to speak with anyone (in which all communication led back to Sean). I was then told it's not ready, this is a laboring job and the following week my car would be ready. Still no problem on my end and I simply trusted the process of professionals. After no further updates I attempted to reach out to Sean in which he let me know his personal number would be better to communicate with him, still no response. I attempted to seek help from anyone in the service and parts department NO ONE can as you guessed it can assist but Sean. I was then advised Tuesday of the following week repairs would be complete. As I write this Tuesday 07/06/22 I am now being told my vehicle will not be ready and I quote "might take a little longer than tomorrow". I brought my car in to get serviced. I was there for 4 hours with no updates on what was going on or checkins to let me know they hadn't forgotten about me. I finally checked with them after 4 hours of trying to be patient and the guy said "oh yeah, your car is done. I just have to do the paperwork." So apparently I'd been sitting there waiting on him to do paperwork? During the 4 hours I was waiting, I browsed their website to see if there was anything I wanted to look at. I found something I was very interested in, and asked an employee on the lot where the used car lot was. He said "over there", pointed 30 yards away, and walked off. No one helped me. There was an employee moving cars around on the lot and he didn't offer to help me once. I never found the car I was looking for and after 15 minutes of waiting for help I just went back to the waiting area. When I paid, the older lady at the counter could not smile and didn't say a word to me. I tried to smile and be friendly and she just glared at me. The icing on top of the cake is after this whole pretty crappy experience, the next day I get a note in the mail that MY CAR HAS BEEN RECALLED and needs an additional service?! We just bought our first new car here and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating! Ask for Josh Knowles! Josh was ideal. He was relatable, HONEST!, and most importantly not at all intrusive. He asked for my email instead of a phone number and only emailed me once(something that was generated) thanking us for visiting him/Chevyland. He was always fast to answer any and all question's that I had, but most of the time he answered our questions before we could ask them! This is the worst Chevy dealership I have ever been to . I've been here a few times trying to give them the benifit of the doubt. A basic oil change with an appointment takes about an hour or more! Last oil change they LOST my oil cap closed the hood of my car I drove away and then got a call stating they found it and that it had been RUN over and unusable. They told me to come back and I would get a new one, I came back and still had to wait another 30 min just to get a cap! They never once apologized or offered a free car wash or free oil change nothing! I had another experience where my care check engine light came on and I took it in the told me it was a recall and then cleared the code. I asked what the code was and what the issue was they then said they didn't know . I left and the light came back on and brought it back and they told me they would need to hold the car for at least 4 days ended up being a week and a half! Didn't even get offered a rental or loaner car. Only good thing is staff is usually friendly but they don't give you updates like your car will be another 5 min or whatever. read more

Sales is great at Chevyland, but service is horrible. We had a problem with the cluster switching back & forth to the radio display on our 2017 Silverado. The truck is still under warranty. I took the truck in on Nov. 1st. & got a courtesy truck. I live out of town & spent the whole day in the neighborhood, thinking it would be ready in the afternoon. My service advisor never gave me any indication otherwise. When I called to inquire, she wasn't available. I left a message & she didn't return my call, so I stopped by to check. She was quite condescending & said it wasn't ready & that's why they gave me a courtesy vehicle. She called the next day, so I drove in to pick it up. They did 2 updates & reset it. Before I left the lot, it was still doing the same thing. I should have left it again, but had a full schedule & thought I would see how it did the rest of the day. It kept doing it, so I made an appointment for Nov. 5th. Got another courtesy vehicle, which was a down grade. I repeatedly called for an update....my advisor was never available & would not return my calls. When she finally did, again she was rude & condescending with excuses as to why it hadn't even been looked at for a couple of days. They determined it needed a new cluster....the programming failed, so they ordered another one. Failed again. By this time, I was very frustrated & went there to speak with the service manager...explained the situation & she referred me to the service director. He was very nice & kept me updated. He also offered to bring my truck to me when it was fixed. I told him we would decide then, because I am often in town. Fortunately, I did not have to deal with the original service advisor anymore. They then determined the part # was different...ordered another one. Then let me know it was ready. I went to pick it up on Wed., Nov. 21st. Before I left the service area with my truck, it was still doing the same thing. I drove out & waited in the lot for a few minutes to see if the problem continued. It did, so I drove back around to leave it again. Suffice it to say, I was extremely angry & frustrated. The next courtesy vehicle was quite nice, so at least that was a plus. Finally, on Nov. 30th, the service director called to say it was ready. They had to order a new radio screen. According to my ticket, the original had shorted out. He asked if I still wanted him to bring it to me & I said I surely did & if it did the same thing even one time, to take it back until it's fixed. Fortunately, it was fixed. The whole ordeal was very frustrating. This is the 3rd truck we've purchased from Chevyland since 2011 & it will be the last. Sales have always been great, but service is never consistent. Sometimes they take a reasonable time for oil changes & recalls, but other times, the wait is ridiculous. Although this is the 1st time we've actually had a problem, the service was awful. It's like going to a restaurant & the food is great, but the service is bad....it ruins the whole experience. Several of the people I talked to in the service dept. need to be instructed as to how to speak to the customer. I'm a very easy going & understanding person, but when I'm spoken to in a condescending manner & made to feel that me, the customer isn't valued, then enough is enough. In addition, the time frame of almost a month to get my truck fixed was unacceptable. It makes it look as though they have no clue what they're doing. My husband & I are 60, so we could conceivably purchase 3 or more vehicles in our lifetime, but it won't be from Chevyland. I did get a call from the General Sales Manager quite quickly offering to do whatever they can to make it right. Too little, too late. Also, no luck leaving a review on their website. There's no option to do that - apparently it's published from an emailed survey - of which I did one. But I believe they send a couple of surveys that go to different locations - one to GM maybe & one to Chevyland. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had. They have had my car for over a week. I had to schedule an appointment a week out just to show up and find out they didn't have my appointment in the system. They got me schedule to have my windshield wipers repaired. 1 hour later they call to tell me my car is done. When I questioned what was wrong with my wipers they informed me they had only changed the oil (not what I asked for). I get a return call saying they would cover the oil change (again that I did not ask for). The woman acted like her mistake was doing me a favor. Fast forward and no one ever contacts me about my car or what's wrong. It's a week later and I still don't have a car just excuses about the tech or the case manager not being there. This is the third time I've brought my car in for a non unirgent repair. Last time it was because my functioning headlight had slight condensation and this time I was hearin bad slight rubbing sound when turning. I dropped my car off for an appointment at 11 on Thursday and it hadn't been looked at Monday afternoon and they couldn't give me an estimate on when it was going to get done. Three things that could have made this better. The person scheduling appointments either needs to provide an estimated time to be seen, or let you know if the que is long for nonurgwnt repairs. I can't get rental reimbursement until the car is looked at so to have it parked at the dealership for almost 5 days is u reasonable. I could have rescheduled the appointment for the following week but no one was up front on the que. if dominoes can estimate within five minutes of when my 20$ pizza is going to arrive how is Chevy so inept at projecting when they will be able to get to my $75,000 car. When I expressed my concerns I was met with "we only have 20 techs" and we have drop offs. To which I say calculate your avg number of drop offs and the average time it takes to asses a vehicle and use that to determine how many appointments you can schedule. I was also told that if I scheduled it a week in advance I could get a courtesy car after my car had been there for almost two days. And I would be on the hook for the rental if it is a non covered repair and they could take days/weeks to find that out at which point I've already racked up several days of rental fees. And no one mentioned this when I booked the Appt. I was also told that the appointment was a drop off not an appointment to which I ask why take drop off appointments. I could just bring it anytime they are open? That doesn't make sense the word appointment means all parties set that time aside to handle the task/meeting. Also, they were texting me the day before to make sure I brought my car in on time. Why. They weren't even going to look at it. The last straw was after I tried calling Saturday and Monday to get an update. I was promised a return call once they figured out where it was at. I didn't get a call before they followed for the day so I was out of a vehicle for another two days. On Monday I called back after being promised a call back that morning. I asked if they could give me a quick call and let me know if they weren't going to get to it so I could pick up. Three hours went by and no call back. When I called back my advisor had went to lunch without returning my call. I asked her to see if they started my car. They said they hadn't. I asked them to get my car ready I'd be there in 20 minutes to get it. When I arrived they hadn't reported that to my advisor and my car was in the back getting ready to be started so it wasn't ready for me to take and they inaccurately reported ya status. Causing me to be late to work. Had that advisor called me back before lunch all that would have been avoided. All this to say why can dominoes predict how long it will take to get my order and you can't tell me what day/week you're I'll get to my car. If I didn't love my car so much I'd trade it to never have to deal with Chevy again and I definitely won't buy another one. When I purchased my car a month ago everyone was very friendly and a great help, but when a month later it came up that I needed an oil change it was a different story. For one thing they should have did an oil change before I ever drove off the lot. On Sat. my car told me that my oil was at 5%. I called on Monday and took it over. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life as they treated me. They made comments that were not necessary and then said your car is over there. Well I had never been there before and yes there were some trucks blocking my view so I didn't see it. When I went back in and asked again, the man took my keys, hit the alarm and said follow the sound. This was my wife's third visit to the service department were the service rep. told her that the wait for a oil change should be an hour wait time. That was not the case again. The reason we are upset is because we have a 2 and 3 year old and every time we we show up for an oil change the kids get inpatient waiting 3 hours for an oil change that is ridiculouse. Another reason we are upset is the mechanic who moved our vehicle was reckless with our Tahoe. He swung the door wide open hitting the car next to him with our mirrors! Then he has the nerve to forcefully fold the mirrors in when there is a power button. Now our folding mirrors are not working properly! So in all we will not be suggesting this dealership to NO ONE and will definitely not return. We have had enough of your lack of professionalism. read more

This Review is only for the Service Department, I am very satisfied with my salesman (Charles Cutright) he has sold my family several cars over the years. I had two issues with my, at the time brand new, 2014 chevy Silverado. I dropped my truck off at the service department with out an appointment scheduled. It took around 5 hours for me to get my truck back, I can not complain about this since I did not schedule an appointment, however I can complain about the lack of a phone call letting me know my truck was ready. A week later the same two issues go out my truck. I called and made an appointment for 7am Saturday morning. I get to chevyland on time and the people in the service department tell me that the technician that works on the A/C and review camera do not work on the weekends. So I set another appointment for the following Monday, I show up on time and my truck goes back to see the technician. I get my truck back and everything seems to be working properly. Two weeks later my rearview camera goes out again. I make another appointment, I call in and stress that I am very displeased at the fact that this keeps happening, no one seems to upset about it at chevyland... I get my truck back and the camera is working, they say there was no issue with the camera. I just called today (Tuesday 4/28/2015) after being transferred to the main board three times I finally get someone to transfer me to the service department. The person in the service department transfers me to another line and it goes to voicemail. I will be taking my truck back up there for the 4th time to fix my back up camera. This has been a very frustrating experience and it seems like chevyland is trying to waste time until my warranty is up so it is not their problem anymore. P.S. the extended warranty is terrible, they said that if my truck needed to stay in the shop for an extended amount of time they would give me a vehicle that matched mine. This was not the case, I was told that they were out of loaners and that I would have to go on a waiting list because they were out. We had a very bad experience. It took almost three weeks for the vehicle to be repaired. The first time my husband went to get the vehicle after two weeks of being in the shop, he didn't even make it off the parking lot. The check engine light came on and wouldn't go into gear. We received a lot of we're not sure of what the problem is. We had to get the owner involved to resolve the problem. The vehicle was still driving funny after we got it back. At first the service guy was rude until he found out who i was. Also we did a lot of following up on the vehicle, instead of them calling us. The only positive thing that came out of this, was the vehicle was under warranty and they gave us a loaner, after i raised hell. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. The service department had my 2017 Acadia for almost 5 weeks! They called me yesterday to come get it because the part needed is on "back order" and they weren't sure when the part would be in, it could be 6 months or a few days they didn't know. They were short rentals and needed their rental back. They told me their "tech" said my car was drivable until they received the part! My check engine light is on because my shutters that open and close to keep the car from OVERHEATING are broke. For me to keep an eye out and make sure the car don't overheat! If it does just bring it back in!! I also have a leak in my car they were SUPPOSED to fix and said they fixed it they DID NOT!! It's now WORSE leaking in water!! Their customer service has become absolutely HORRIBLE!! After purchasing as many vehicles as we have from them you'd think they'd have a little bit better customer service!! The paneling was tore apart. I had to walk back inside to get someone to put the paneling back together because they didn't even do that after they gave me my car! I called and asked to speak to a manager and they refused you let me speak to one! What did they do with my vehicle for 5 weeks you might wonder ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! This last year their service has been horrible every time I take my vehicle in to be serviced they are rude and hateful and you wait 3 PLUS hours just for an oil change. My first visit to Chevyland to have a steering issue looked at on a 2 year old chevrolet Truck. First issue was after 5 days of no quote for repair, I had to repeatedly hound the Service Writer for a quote for a repair. Once the repair quote was received, I had to argue with the service Writer to remove repairs that did not apply to the reason the vehicle was in the shop to be looked at. It took another 3 days to finish complete the repair that was stated to only take one day. In receiving the vehicle back repaired, there was an issue with the Warning lights being illuminated on the dash for something related to the repair performed on the steering. The Staff took the vehicle back into the shop for 30 minutes then brought it back around and stated it was repaired. So 30 days later, the warning lights are back on for the same issue, I take the vehicle in to get looked at. Which there again, 7 days later, I continually have to hound the dealership for a quote or any type of time frame, an additional 3 days go by and finally receive a quote for repair of 7-10 different things. Most of which were unrelated to the warning indicator lights. So after 10 days of being out a vehicle, I pay a diagnostic Fee and take the vehicle to an accredited repair center that turns the vehicle repair around same day. I currently run a fleet of vehicles over (25) and have never had issues like experienced at Chevyland. In by 10 years of have multiple vehicles serviced, have I encounter an organization with such lack of respect for the customer. Thats my 2 cents. read more

Great. I wish I can service my car closer to home. It doesn't make sense to service it in Shreveport when there is a dealer right here in Bossier City that could do it. But, because I bought it from Shreveport, I have to service it there. Sure I can service here in Bossier, but it costs more to do the exact same thing. Two different dealers but the same brand name. Otherwise I would give you a 10. I wish management would use a little common sense it could go a long way. I'm just saying. read more

SERVICE DEPT:Chevyland is the only company that services my car and I always have issues or things get half done. My car broke down on me twice due to Chevyland failing to properly inspect my car. I also missed 2 events due to this. My only brother's graduation and I missed my first day of class.Both times my car had to be towed and dropped off during after hours. Upper management would not return phone calls (Joe Young). Employees are always confused and never know what's going on. I truly feel that Chevyland needs to work on customer service and car inspection. This way things will get done the right way the first time to avoid repeat trips for customers and inconveniences. read more

horrible. took a MONTH to get my vehicle "fixed". once it was "fixed" three days later, began to experience the same problem we had initially. which then led to my vehicle being totaled. complete waste of time. however, there was one representative who was outstanding. i would ONLY recommend him. read more

I'd give 0/5 if I could. Worst place to have your vehicle serviced. I dropped my vehicle off at 8:30 and did not hear from them until I called at 2:30. I then asked how long it may be and I was told 1-1.5 hours longer. I show up around 4 thinking my vehicle should be diagnosed and they tell me "it'll take the rest of the day". I ask if they have a loaner vehicle and they tell me no. I guess they were expecting me to sit there the rest of the day. I asked if I could have my keys and I was told they highly advise that I don't because I'll have to pay a diagnostic fee. However my vehicle was under full coverage warranty. It was as if they were keeping my vehicle hostage, telling me I'll have to pay a fee for something that is covered under a full warranty. 5 o'clock comes and the serviceman tells me they found the problem and wants me to leave my vehicle there. HAHA! Yeah right. I guess they just expected me to walk everywhere. I went to Red River Chevy immediately after and they took care of everything professionally, promptly, and exceptionally well. I had a loaner that day and my vehicle was done by noon the following day. The bottom line is the service department at Chevyland lacks communication and consideration for their customers. We bought a certified, used 2009 Chevrolet Malibu from here several months ago and we were told that it had the 3.6L V6 engine from the salesman and the listing, but when I was checking the oil before a road trip, I noticed that the car in fact had an the 2.4L inline 4. We were left with 2 explainations for what happened, either gremlins took the v6 in the middle of the night, or we were lied to. We have been getting the run around from the salesman for the 4 months since we noticed it. We have been calling more than once a week to try to find out what happened. It is one thing to make a mistake and another to refuse to acknowledge that a mistake was made. We have bought at least 4 cars from here, but never plan to again. read more

Good Customer service. Think car should be washed while there but overall grade a service

Very dissatisfied with how Bubba Cunningham and the service department handled our case regarding repairs that were done to our vehicle. There was prior negligent work done which caused the vehicle to have more problems down the road. Had to get repairs done in another state we were visiting. They were just as bad. They could have pin pointed out the shotty work done previously which they had copies of the work order. Had to take it back to Chevyland and told them the problem. They did fix what was wrong, but now out of pocket from the previous work done out of state. I contacted Bubba Cunningham to see if we could get any results. He seemed to be working on our case but then failed to follow up or return my phone call or emails. I have also contacted the manager at the other Chevy dealership and have not gotten a call back either. This will probably be the last Chevys we own. read more
