Kriser's is a great, convenient spot right next to King Sooper's on Chestnut in LoDo. I easily meter park right out front or in the King Sooper's garage and also pick up a few things at King Sooper's. Kriser's is part of Chuck + Don's! Who knew! I feel like it is more expensive than Chuck + Don's, but they say they aren't! ‍ I get my larger cat food purchases over at Chuck + Don's. They have the same rewards program tho! As a full-time cat sitter, I like to stop here and pick up fresh packets of From the Fields catnip/silvervine, any cat food my clients may be out of or that I may be out of. They have Fussie Cat brand which Petsmart and Petco do not carry. I also love that they have my cat-sitting magnet stuck on the pole thing by their register - thank you!! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the place is literally so convenient! I love that they carry Go Cat wands, but please - can you carry the ones on the sticks (not the fishing line/wire ones)? I buy the crap out of the stick wands for my clients' kitties! I currently get them at Luke + Co and A Pet's Paradise, and a place in Littleton! Would love to be able to pick them up at Kriser's as well! read more

A friend of mine gave us a gift card this past Christmas. I'd never been before so chose the closest location that happened to be the one downtown. Parking was surprisingly easy for a Saturday and I found a spot no problem. I decided to get the dogs treats as well as a couple of things for the cats. The dog treat selection was really robust and I had a hard time choosing which treats among the four aisles of snacks. They also had really cute hand made and decorated doggie treats so got a couple of those as well. To be fair to the cats, I got them a couple silver sticks and a catnip toy. For what appeared to be a small space, there was a lot of options for both dogs and cats. The staff was very friendly and if I'm in this area again, would definitely come back. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Our dog is what I call a big stinker. She hates getting her nails trimmed. But we tried Krisers and have been back a few times. They are the only place that can properly trim our dogs nails. We've had to give her anti-anxiety meds before but not here. We can take her on a walk and then walk right in. And if they have time, they will take her. And it's great. We have no complaints. Just that they deal with our dog and that's a task in itself. So if I could give it more stars, I definitely would. New to the neighborhood ... Well to Colorado in general. Walked in with my two Aussies and had the best experience. Chris is very knowledgeable. With his help and advice, I am hoping to get my dogs gut, allergies and other issues in check. Our girls were welcomed and treated like princesses with all the love and treats they received. Sydney was phenomenal! I explained some of the issues I was having with other groomers such as PetSmart and how they only maybe get a paw or 2 done before they stop (my dog doesn't have a mean bone in her body but she'll throw her head back and forth). She listened to what I had to say, took Josie (my dog) back and came out maybe 5 minutes later with all 4 paws done and they look amazing! I wish I would've started coming here sooner. DON'T GET YOUR DOG GROOMED HERE. I have felt the need to write a review for any experience, until now. This is the worst dog grooming experience I have ever had. No dog deserves this. We paid over $120 for our dog to be sent home FILTHY after getting sick from stress which has NEVER happened before. On top of this.. when I called regarding my dogs distress they weren't even sure which dog I was talking about and blamed it on a "bad day." He had been groomed here before and it was great. Suddenly, a groomer stated my dog was showing his teeth but didn't bite her, said that he must just be "having a day" & we can try again in the future. Since then, I decided to go to a nearby groomer instead, Little Brown Dog. They said my dog was sweet & easy to work with, did a great job with him. But I wanted to give Kriser's another chance today because I'm having a rushed week & it's closest. They turned me away stating that 2 groomers, notated my dog bit them & want to refuse service. They do a nice job on my dogs' nails and baths. My dogs HATE baths, so I gladly pay them their fees plus tip for managing a task that none of us enjoy. I also stop in from time to time to pick up treats, poop bags, or other items. It's a good way to give the dogs a "happy visit" so they aren't as anxious when we go for baths. read more

Soooooo impressed with this place. For the boujee area that it is located in, the prices are still very fair! My dog LOVES the frozen raw lamb bones and a 2 pack is only $12.00! I was called to be updated that my dog would take about an hour longer than they originally predicted because he was uncomfortable with some of the grooming (mostly the hair dryer). Which is VERY typical of my dog -he's afraid of everything. I really appreciated the update and to know that they were willing to take the extra time to work through my dogs quirks. Came here before for a nail trim for my cat and that went fine so I booked again online. No problems with that, it was super easy actually, but the management apparently did not schedule their "cat groomers" for the day I booked. Groomer on duty was allergic to cats....at a pet store. They offered to cover the cost but only if I could return tomorrow, which I doesn't work with my schedule...which is why I booked for the time I did. Bummer that I'll need to find another cat groomer since they can't figure out how to schedule their staff. I'm just looking for reliability, is that so hard? read more

Kriser's is amazing for grooming! I have a one year old mini golden doodle that does not allow us to brush him (so he gets matted) & is extremely difficult at the groomers. Kriser's is the only place that can handle him and they still manage to groom him perfectly. Even though he's a thrasher while he's getting groomed, they've never nicked him! I first took my dog, Calico, to Kriser's back in November and absolutely LOVED how he turned out. They are also very reasonably priced compared to some other grooming places. I just took him for the second time and although he looked really cute, it did not look like he had hardly had his hair cut at all. It was very long, long enough to where I felt I would need to take him back again to get groomed in less than a month. The reason I am giving five stars is for the service. I called and asked for the manager who was unavailable. I told the gentleman who answered the phone it was in regards to me not being happy with the cut. I got a call back from the manager, Jessica, within 30 minutes. Without even having to explain the situation, she apologized and offered for us to come back in so they could fix it. I am SO impressed by the customer service offered and I feel confident that this won't be an issue in the future so I will certainly be coming back! read more

Showed up 10 minutes early they said about 2 and a half hours and I thought that seemed a little long for just a groom. It was 5:25 and I still hadn't got a call so I just went to the groomer expecting her to be almost done or already done. And I walk in to find she had only been bathed in that 2 hours and that the worker was on a break??? So she was sitting in a cage all wet and alone that entire time??? Jared the groomer then denied me service because I was unhappy and refused to cut her hair. no manager was in the building and it wasn't handled professionally at all. Great spot. We moved down the street and now buy all pet supplies from Kriser's. They are caring and helpful. Booking grooming appointments is a tad of a pain. It must be done by phone or walk-in. They don't always answer the phone. The other part that could be improved is how they book grooming appointments. Unlike Petco, they don't seem to save the prior grooming preferences so that when you book a new one they know what you want. We're going back for a third time in a couple of weeks and I'll report back if it's different. We've had two grooming sessions and are happy with their work. They did as asked and our dog came back happy as a clam. The only thing they do not offer that I wish they did is Furmination -- Furminator brushing for 10-15 min. read more

Great place to take your pup for a summer shave! I had a little mix-up when I went to drop off my dog, switched up the days. The staff was super accommodating and was able to fit my dog into the rotation, and done with a smile on their faces! You can definitely tell everyone who works there loves animals and makes sure everyone is pleased!! Ari came out looking fresher than ever, nails trimmed and ready to show off her new hair-do at the park!! This review is for the River Oaks, Houston location. I used to be happy with the groomer and their services before but the last two times I took my dog there for grooming he returned with razor cuts. I contacted the store and sent them pics to let them know and I was promised that the manager will get back to me the next working day but 6 weeks later I am still waiting for a call or an email.
