The place was absolutely filthy, I cannot imagine leaving my dog in their hands. I took my dog in for a bath a haircut and he came back looking the same as when he went in. They didn't provide the service we asked and charged A LOT for nothing! Furthermore, you can't see your dog before you pay. I'm so mad for trusting them after reading the horrible reviews. (Notice how many 1 star ratings there are!) They are thiefs! I have a big cattle dog Aussie shepherd mix who is a little shy, and a big personality little poodle who is sweet but wiggly. They always come home looking so sweet and smelling fresh. I've actually been a few times now and it was just ok. I'm not sure I've had the same person twice, which is a little concerning. But as of yesterday I decided I will not go back. The girl who did my dog's nails made him not just yelp, but actually scream and then whimper. That did NOT sit well with me. And they had a tiny dog sitting on top of their counter, which is about 5' high, and nothing was holding him there. He could have easily fallen off and really injured himself. The girl up front seemed to think it was cute. I thought it was incredibly irresponsible, and it very much makes me wonder about a person or business who would be this careless. We brought, Charlie, our mini Bernese dog into Pawtential Pet Salon and he came out one handsome, wonderfully smelling dog. I can't stop snuggling with him. He smells so good. I wish I knew what shampoo they used. And they trimmed him up so handsome. I couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. And Charlie seemed to enjoy himself, as well. He came home sooo happy and excited. Like he knew how good he looked. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. I forgot to bring in Charlie's rabies vaccine report and they called his vet to obtain the needed paperwork. We will DEFINITELY be taking Charlie back to Pawtential Pet Salon. We've taken our dog here a few times and have generally been happy with the service. That is, until last week when we took our Schnauzer in for a bath and a trim only (not a full grooming). Upon picking him up it was clear that he had been bathed and brushed but not trimmed at all (to the tune of $65.00, an absolute ripoff). We called to complain and were told we could bring him back and they would do the trim. Upon picking him up we saw to our horror that they had not trimmed him, but completely decimated his Schnauzer look (attached picture). To top matters off the staff was extremely rude about it and acted like they had done us a favor. Avoid this place at all costs! Rude, unprofessional and unreliable! read more

We have a Pug who's only non home grooming is his nails. The vet claimed he should be sedated for nail clipping, which would charge an office visit, the cost of the med and the service cost. We took him to these ladies. They cradled him in a way that he was calm and it took maybe a minute or two. Enough said! Love them! read more

So I went to this salon before the management change, but I see the held over this "new groomer" with the worst customer service. She is abrasive and treats you like you are an idiot. When you tell her something it's not that she politely says hey I will take a look at see what we can do, instead she has to throw this superiority energy into the space. This place is horrible. They do not listen to what you say in terms of how you want your dog groomed. My Havanese was shaved literally to the bone INCLUDING HIS EARS. He had a nose bleed from the trauma and to top it all off - Rebecca the "groomer" shamed me for leaving his coat natural the way a Havanese is supposed to look. He has been literally shaking non stop since I got him home yesterday. He has been utterly traumatized. She will say he had mats. Yes of course he did. A few. His hair is very thick but she practically accused me of NEGLECTING him. She's incompetent and dangerous. My dog is 15. Never once in all those years oF getting him groomed has this happened. Not. One. Time. DO NOT GO THERE. She also tried to sell me a "Brushing class". OMFG. read more

I usually take my pup to the groomer, Pawtential every six weeks. On my last visit, July 13, I was told by the woman at the desk (whom I had not seen there before, I been at Pawtential for about 2 years) that they were all booked up and the soonest they could get me in is September 7. She scheduled me for the 7th and she asked if I would like to book for the next 6 months so I would not be in the same predicament. I agreed and we scheduled through January 2024. All appointments were marked on my phone calendar. Also Pawtential always sends me a text reminder a couple of days prior to the appointment. Today, August 24, I received a call from Pawtential at 11:50 am telling me that I had an 11am appointment today that I missed! I said no I did not have an appoint today, and that when I was there last I was told over and over again that there was nothing available until September 7th. The woman who called me, again no identification, never apologized for their mistake or even considered that the mistake was on their end. She kept talking to me like I was a bad little 6 year old, asking me if I wanted to cancel today's appointment. I told her I did not have an appointment today and she kept insisting I did. I said if I had an appointment today why didn't I receive a reminder. No answer. She told me I also had an appoint on September 7th. I asked why would I schedule two appointment so close together, that's ridiculous! Of course she had no answer for that either. I became very angry and told her to stop talking me as if I was a little girl. she then said she was canceling all my future appointments and hung up on me. read more

We have a Golden-doodle which can be a bit tricky for groomers but they did an AMAZING job for a very fair price. The store was incredibly clean with a nice little window where you can see in - when I picked him up his tail was a bit bushy but they were more than accommodating by taking him back in and trimming his tail down a bit more. I like the groomers at this salon. They take care of my older dog. But the problem is that they don't answer their phone. I always have to leave a message on the answering machine. Sometimes I get a callback and sometimes I don't. Frustrating. Also, I don't get reminders of upcoming appointments. The groomers are super and very gentle. My overly fluffy Shih Tzu Maltese pup seemed happy when I came to get him and looked fabulous. Took my puppy in for a "creative grooming" for his Halloween costume/our family costume today. Christiana turned him into a beautiful piano (at my request) and did a great job! She is an artist! She made time for us even though she was booked up, and she spent literally half the day transforming my dog into a beautiful doggie piano! She didn't ask me a ton of difficult questions, and she took the minimal guidance I gave her and was a real leader about it and ran w/ it. I couldn't be more pleased. In addition, my dog was very happy and enjoyed the time he was there and the attention he got. He normally hates going to grooming, but he thoroughly enjoyed himself. We will be coming back for our regular groom here going forward as our previous dog groomer has retired. The space has been renovated extensively since Paragon took over. To my knowledge, it is the only pet groomer in the Cherry Creek/Glendale area except for RuffIt Grooming on Colorado Blvd and Alameda and PetSmart. I am sure both places are decent groomers, but I found both too difficult to work. RuffIt wanted me to get my dogs vaccinations, which are good through the end of the month, re-done before I brought him in, even if our appt was before the end of the month. B/c of Halloween coming up, I just didn't have the time (although I will be taking him in on Friday). W/ PetSmart, although some groomers are fine, some are not/I don't always get a good vibe when I take my dog there. And I want nothing but the best for my little fur baby! Christiania and Paragon made it very easy and very simple for me. I am a busy mama so I really appreciate their working w/ me/their flexibility. They are in the same strip mall as an amazing beads store and Papou's Pizza, which is the best pizza around! So it is a worthwhile little trip. Thank you, Paragon! read more
