The grocery store, was small, with all the name brands, and some off brands, prices were cheap considering they were the only one in town. Maybe the prices are a little higher than chain stores but during the growing season the produce is local; as in from the fields outside of town to the produce department! The meat is always fresh and the guys in the meat department are always accommodating when you want something special. Numerous times I have called them and asked them to slice up some roasts for beef jerky and they always have it ready when we come down to visit family. So you can't get some of the things that you can get at larger stores...but you can get whatever you need and want to make great meals from a local source!
