For $450, we expected professional photos -- instead, every single image showed intentional and significant widening edits that distorted our appearance in negative ways. Specific examples: * Hairline blurred/erased made me appear bald. * Waists, arms, and legs widened made our bodies look blocky and much larger than in real life. * Feet compressed together, sand smudged lower bodies distorted to exaggerate waist widening. * Hand-holding blurred and melted edits dragged our hands unnaturally, making them look fused. * Palm trees, bushes, ocean ripples, and leis bent sideways background warped along with our bodies, proving manual manipulation. These were not flattering retouches. They were intentional negative alterations -- essentially sabotage -- that misrepresented us and ruined what should have been special family portraits. And to be clear: there is no way this was caused by a lens, angle, or lighting issue. Gravity doesn't tilt leis sideways, tree trunks don't bend around people, and shadows don't smear unless pixels are dragged. This was strategic editing done to make us look worse. I would strongly recommend not hiring her.

Nicole was the first to respond, and she immediately began communicating with my wife. She answered all our questions and made the decision to book with her incredibly easy. Once we arrived on the island, Nicole stayed in touch--discussing possible locations, weather concerns, and the vision we had for the shoot. When the scheduled day came, the weather was awful. Nicole called us to reschedule, and we agreed to try again the evening before we flew back home. Unfortunately, that day brought two new challenges: a difficult family situation and even worse weather than before. We were completely deflated--disappointed, sad, frustrated, and unsure if the shoot could or should even happen. Nicole was amazing. She remained understanding, compassionate, patient, and completely willing to adapt to whatever we needed. As we stood in the parking lot of DT Fleming Beach in the middle of a torrential downpour--just an hour before sunset--Nicole encouraged us not to give up. She and I gently persuaded my wife to at least walk down to the beach and see if the storm might pass. We were already there, with nothing to lose. As the rain began to ease and Nicole started guiding us, what followed was nothing short of magical. She captured a once-in-a-lifetime series of photos that we'll cherish forever. Two rainbows appeared, and she photographed us walking toward them, with the vibrant colors illuminating our backdrop. As the sun tried to peek through the clouds, Nicole made the most of every moment--capturing stunning images that perfectly told the story of our family's resilience and love. Even after we returned home, struggling to decide which photos to choose and wanting to purchase more, Nicole's kindness and professionalism never wavered. We're absolutely thrilled with the final results. I can't speak highly enough of the way Nicole managed the entire experience--from before we arrived to after we left. Our family met Gemma at Ironwoods Beach for a sunset photoshoot with our very fun and very willful 18-month old. Gemma is incredibly warm, genuine and friendly and she will immediately put your whole family at ease and capture everyone at their best. She worked with us to ensure we got great shots with plenty of backdrops - we really wanted candids of us all playing together and wow, did she deliver! We even caught a couple of authentic Maui rainbows and she was able to capture those perfectly. If you are worried about the chaos of a beach photoshoot with a toddler, don't be!
