SO GOOD! I was seated right away & staff was nice and spoke English.

SO GOOD! Waiter was nice & spoke English. Was not too busy, seated right away during lunch.

Spinach, ricotta fresh raviol, Gorgonzola cream, roquette, Parmesan... Amazing!

I loved everything about Chez Plumeau. The food, the location, ambiance, and the friendly staff - it was nothing short of amazing. On a busy Sunday night in the heart of peak season, they were able to get us seated, which was very nice. We ordered a variety of plates in order to be able to try a couple different options. The Gratin Onion Soup and Planche Mixte were great dishes and extremely tasty. The mixed board of meat and cheeses signified how fresh everything was. As an entree, we tried the Spinach, Ricotta Fresh Raviol, Gorgonzola cream, roquette and parmesan. One word, wow. These were prepared to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant in Montmartre and will go back the next time I am in Paris!

We had a fantastic time here! Amazing service and amazing food! The energy was very welcoming and relaxing as well with great staff and hospitality. The menu was in French/English and had many options to choose from. We were a party of 3 with no reservation and they sat us immediately:)

You must eat here. I read the positive and negative reviews and our experience was very positive. The waiter was charming - with US Blues Christmas music playing gently in the back ground! But everything else Parisian. I had a sliced meat and cheese (fromage) and my wife had escargots and fois gras. All delicious. It is 40 feet off the square and a treasure. Just what one looks for to escape the tourists (like us!)

Of all the places in the art square this is the most intimate. Tucked just around the corner from the sketch artists and painters you'll find ample outdoor seating with a beautiful canopy curtesy of the twisting and turning branches from a tree planted in the middle of the dinning area. It is a true kodak moment. The coffee was delicious as well as the classic french onion soup - baked with crispy french bread and a layer of yummy cheese on top. This really hit the spot and the smell alone will have you dreaming of it for days. Burgers, fries and just about any other lunch dish here was prepared fresh and tasted delicious. Many locals choose this spot also. A gem for the area. A casual french lunch awaits. Remember to get the one of the best french onion soups!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Decor & Style: 5/5 Very nice patio to chill at in the afternoon with a great view (the place is on top of a hill). We had the pate/bread plate with wine and escargot. All dishes were very good and I highly recommend. I'm not a wine drinker but I tried one here and thought it was pretty good (Merlot mix with something not sure.) Definitely try to sit on the patio if you come here.

We loved our last meal in France! This was the most comfortable and friendly restaurant yet. The staff just couldn't be any more accommodating. We started with French onion soup and it didn't disappoint. Then, the star if dinner was the board with cheeses and meats was so delicious. These foods are so much more superior than the states. The freshness and flavor really shine. We then had spinach and ricotta cheese ravioli with Gorgonzola cream sauce with parmigiana spreads was so luscious. And the veal with potatoes in a brown sauce and arugula salad was so tender and flavorful.

A very cute, cozy cafe located in the Momart area in France. The decor was trendy, modern, and it had a garden feel to it. I came here with a party of five and I don't know how on earth we were able to spend close to $400. I guess the cost of wine and desserts added up; French people know how to eat! We were here with some family who lives in France and they did all the ordering for, each person with an appetizer and entree. I ended up with escargot as an appetizer, and fried prawns wrapped with smoked fillet of duck and spicy sausage rice as my main course. The Mister ended up with a french onion soup as his appetizer and a leg of lamb topped with burning sage, a side of fresh cream and au gratin potatoes as his main course. I had my whole meal and had a bite of everyone else's and everything was amazing! The presentation was cute and the flavors were present, my taste buds were satisfied!

Fabulous shady spot "off the beaten path" of Montmartre. Gorgeous vines create a green awning for this cool, cobblestoned terrace cafe. We enjoyed the vegetarian Lasagna and the chicken in lemon cream sauce and a salad. The food was good, the setting beautiful. nice!

This restaurant was the perfect close to a beautiful day wandering around Montmartre. Perched up high near an overlook of the city and just off a busy square, Le Plumeau had a beautiful outdoor garden-like ambience and some excellent live cafe music. The food was superb, I had a charcuterie appetizer with sundried tomatoes and balsamic, and the vegetarian lasagna was also amazing- plenty of food! The creme brûlée for dessert was also delicious!

This place is fantastic! Amid all the overpriced tourist traps in Paris, this place stands out. Located in some of the back roads behind the Sacre-Coeur, one location in Paris that visitors will almost always have to pass by, it is a quiet unassuming place, where the wait staff are friendly, the patrons are easy-going, and the atmosphere is fantastic. The atmosphere really is like a neighborhood French bistro, not commercialized and not just a fascade. The food was fantastic, heaping portions of every entree despite a very reasonable price tag. To put in perspective, The brunch I had costed more for 3 small mediocre plates, than the dinner I had at Chez Plumeau with 3 full entrees, an appetizer, and 2 drinks, not to mention that the 2 drinks were delicious fresh squeezes juices (the fresh squeezed orange juice is among the most delicious I've ever had - imagine the tastiest clementines squeezed by hand one by one into a full glass). The escargot is fantastic, always wish it came in greater amounts, braised duck was delicious, and the fish is very tasty without being greasy at all. Bottom line - great food, great atmosphere, great price, friendly staff. Cannot be beat in this area.

I think this place is probably at its best on very sunny and warm days, when the canopy offers some welcome shade. On a cloudy day it can feel a bit dark and cold here. The service is good, they speak English well, and are very friendly. We tried the snails, onion soup and Camembert fondue since we were not so hungry. With drinks the bill landed on 52,50€ which felt much too pricey, in contrast to the quality of the meal we were served which was passable/adequate at best. I suppose it is because it's in the middle of an extremely touristy district. The snails had too much parsley/spinach flavour for my taste, I was hoping for more butter/garlic. Note that we picked really "cheap" stuff, most plates on the menu is around 20€ each. The beer was 10€ which is very steep for a plain brew.

Busy restaurant in the heart of tourist area, Montmartre. We have to wait awhile for our table and even longer for the service. Large extensive menu with specialty of the day. The food was o.k

Good service, good drinks, good onion soup, but the toughest, most grissly, entrecôte I've ever had. Was it beef?

Sweet little romantic restaurant in Montmartre. More of a touristic spot than an authentic french bistro.

Throughout our trip from Provence, Basque Country and Paris, I joked that they must hate me for ordering my beef med b/c it was so much tougher compared to our beef. Anyway, it's just different. Our server spoke English fluently and was such a hoot...full of personality & joy. Per his recommendation, we ordered it med-rare b/c it continues cooking table side on the sizzling platter. We ate too much. It's a lot of food to split the cote de boeuf btn two. Comes with very good chubby fries and 3 sauces. TBH, I didn't love the sauces. Luckily we walked 6miles that day and skipped lunch. Started with a garden salad, but sadly we had no room for dessert. Reservations via email. Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards.
