This was one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. Disclaimer: this was also my first time in Paris and I had been so busy sight seeing all day I hadn't eaten. So these factors may have accentuated my meal... I was staying with my friend Jeremy and his girlfriend and they took me here for dinner on my last night in Paris. And I am so glad they did. We all ordered from the discounted prix-fixe menu, which came with an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. I started with the fish soup, but my friend ordered escargot and offered one to me. I hesitated...thinking, can I really eat a snail and find it appetizing? But the thought of eating escargot for the first time, on my first trip to Paris was too perfect. So I ate one. And it was SO good. Buttery, garlicy good. For my entrée I ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon and was BLOWN away with how tender and delicious the meat was. It also came with gratin dauphinois, which is potatoes cooked with garlic and cream. These are my absolute favorite potatoes. They make me want to live in Paris. And finally, at the end I ordered the molten chocolate cake with ice cream. And died. It was THAT amazing. read more

The beef bourguignon was excellent and my wife's steak was fine (a bit overdone for medium rare). We had the foie gras as a starter, also very good with delicious brioche toast. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. The reason for the two stars is because of the end of the meal. We received the check and were told that they did not take credit cards. After paying with the last Euros we had we saw other patrons paying with cards. Further research on Yelp says that they take credit cards. I would say if you don't mind being lied to you might consider going here as the food was very good. read more

We started off with a smoked salmon with avocado for an appetizer. Now, I don't usually eat raw fish, but I tried this one and let me tell you it got me finishing the whole plate. It's very good with French baguettes. We shared the beef bourguignon. I think it's the way French cuisines taste like but the dish was quite bland for me, not the restaurant's fault. All in all it was worth a try. We ordered the chocolate macaroons with salted caramel ice cream in the middle. It was nothing to rave about. The food was average at best, as entrée the goose liver was fine with nice sauce, poor main course with pavè meat not soft at all, the Bordeaux wine was fine with good price / quality ratio to be in Paris; as dessert the cafe gourmand was nothing special. If you are in the neighbourhood you can try, doesn't deserve a trip to come over with all the choices available in Paris. As usual extremely small tables, but this is nothing new in Paris. As mentioned above the real ratings should be two and half star, but the option simply isn't there. read more

I found this diamond of a restaurant on Yelp. It is centrally located in the 6th ème. This is French food at its finest - fresh ingredients, perfectly executed. I ordered off the set menu - a ravioli in a most excellent cream sauce and the beef bourguignon. I make beef bourguignon using Julia Child's recipe at home, and Vins et Terroirs' version of this dish is excellent. The beef was tender but not mushy, and the gravy was thick, smooth and flavorful. The accompanying potatoes and carrots were perfectly steamed. The wine list is well rounded. For dessert, the Cardinal (black currant sorbet with black currant sauce) was tart and sweet! The ambiance is comfortable with dark woods, mirrors, red accents and interesting lighting. The service is friendly, helpful and prompt. Don't miss this excellent restaurant! read more

This is a cute place, which appears little at first glance; in fact, that glance is deceiving since most of the restaurant seating space is upstairs. The menu is good-sized (and has English translations) with a number of excellent options from which to choose. My main dish, beef bourguignon, was just OK. But the appetizer, dessert and partner's dish (which I stole some bites of) were all quite good. The service was also quite good, by Parisian standards, and the prices are reasonable (by Parisian standards) so all in all I recommend this place if you're in the area. ("Vins" means "wines" but don't ask me what "terroirs" means; even after looking it up, it's still not clear to me.) read more

Small and personable atmosphere with excellent food choices reasonably priced for St Germain area. Reproductions of Sem art (19th c. caricatures ) decorate the wall. Staff is welcoming and professional. My friends loved their duck plate. I loved my salad of ham, poached egg, walnuts, mixed greens and tomatoes. Best meal we had in Paris! The ravioli was probably one of the most wonderful things I've ever tasted-- they make them themselves! The roast fish I had was tender, crispy, buttery, and oh so yummy. Every bite was absolutely perfect. The service is also wonderful. While we were there, a mother and her children walked into the restaurant. The mother asked the waitress if they had french onion soup, because her very young son was absolutely adamant about having it. The waitress responded, "No, we don't have it, but we can call a nearby restaurant and have them bring it over." Sure enough, 15 minutes later, a waiter at the other restaurant carries in a tray of foil-wrapped soups. It was so kind of them! read more

Ate here twice when in Paris. Both times I had good food, but the dishes my friends ordered were always better. In partiuclar, the escargo and the beef bourguignon were very good. The salads also looked pretty good. My lamb dish was good but not great, and the steak I had the next time was overcooked and pretty bland. Pretty good wine selection and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I came here with my parents and sister as they were staying nearby. My parents ordered the menu consisting of entree and plat (18 euros at dinner). Dad had a lentil soup with duck followed by duck confit. Mom had beef carpaccio with foie gras followed by stewed lamb and mashed potato. I had raviolis du royan, and my sister had a salad with chèvre (although they forgot the chèvre and she had to ask for it...in the end she said it was tasteless and didn't eat much anyway). Canard avec sauce a l'orange...tres bon! What a wonderful visit to this restaurant (and the entire street). They opened early for us and thank goodness...we were hungry! Our meals were delicious and a wonderful value. My kids had steak and the staff ensured the sauce was on the side...because my girls are picky. :). They were so friendly and welcoming to our kids! Our server recommended two great wines that just added to the deliciousness. We were going to go to LA Jacobine, just across the street and up the alley but they were closed for most of August. Well we found a gem in Vins et Terroior. I had the boeof (beef) bourgignon (wine sauce???) with escargot as an appitizer. My better half had lamb something and some little ravioli in cream sauce to start with. Finished with a chocolate torte in cream. All were excellent!!! Service was by far the best we have had in Paris, not that that says much, you know Paris. Their wine / drinks list was reasonably extensive for Europe, but I have to call them out for not including the vintage, and serving in the small wine glasses that are aparantly the norm over here is just wrong, may be an EU rule, if you get a bottle, who cares what the volume of the glass is. Writing my first review because the food was THAT GOOD! My family and I had been looking for an authentic Parisian meal the entire trip and we got it here. My mom and I had the pre set menu of entree and plat (18 euros for dinner 12 for lunch) and they were very accommodating for my mom who is a vegetarian. I had the beef bourguignon and my dad had the thick cut steak. The entire meal was absolutely delicious from top to bottom and the service was truly exceptional. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you want something truly delicious for a price that can't be beat come here. read more

Wouldn't come here. Ordered a salad with tuna, but the tuna was missing. They said they didn't have it but gave us smoked salmon, which I dislike. The Camembert was clearly from a typical grocery store. They had no takeout boxes for leftover food. They did have a readily available table, unlike other restaurants around. For other meal we've had in Paris, waiters gave us women wine to approve of. Here, they simply poured it and for the man first. read more

We yelped this restaurant before we dined there. It matched the Yelp reviews! We ordered Boeuf Bourguignon and Lamb (slow cook 7 hours). Both were good. Beware that the price of food in Paris includes a 15% tip and tax included also. Please do not give anymore tip unless you believe that the service was exceptional. In that case, you may tip another 5% or whatever you like. The lady waitress provided good service, but I think 15% is a good enough tip. This restaurant is honest in a way that we order water and they gave us tap water. Most restaurant will give you bottle water and charge you 6 Euro or more for the bottle water. The food was 18 Euro for a 2 course meal per person. The final bill was 36 Euro (Remember tips and tax included). We choose Appetizer and Main Course. Escargo Appetizer was yummy. read more

Took the advise of a friend that had lived in Paris for a short time and visited Vins etc Terrois restaurant. Couldn't have been anymore impressed by the entire experience. The waiter & waitress were very inviting and cordial. The atmosphere was romantic in the fact the restaurant is not extremely large, allowing the staff give you above average service. This is our favorite place to eat everytime we visit Paris, the food is delicious, with great service, nice ambiance and decor. The escargot(snail) and the boeuf bourgignon was really good! Around 19 euro for a appetizer and main course, wich is about the norm in Paris if you want quality food. We tried other places with fixed menus at 12 or 16 euro, but the quality was just not there. So it is money well spent if you want a good meal. We been to this restaurant 6 times so far and we keep going back, so that's a good sign! read more

This was my last meal I enjoyed in Paris. I found this hidden gem while trying to decide on a restaurant to eat while it was raining. This restaurant is very cozy, and the service is top notch. There were two other couples dining here (both from the States) while I was dining, and they ordered from the ala carte menu. I believe both couples ordered a Pork Tenderloin dish and a fish dish, which received VERY high reviews. I opted for the 22E Prixe Fixe menu, and I was not disappointed. I paired my escargot (my weakness) and Beef Tournedos with a lovely Bordeaux, and I was NOT disappointed. To finish my meal, I opted to purchase their Profiteroles for desert. After finishing what had to be one of the best desserts I had in Paris, I was almost certain I would have to be carried out on a stretcher. Fear not though!
