It's perfectly seared to medium-rare and paired with the tangy, spicy dressing - something I do not expect to see at a Thai restaurant in Canada. It was indeed out of this world....damn!!! I also really enjoyed my pad kra pao beef. The flavours were vibrant and dynamic--the umami and sweetness from the fish sauce, the subtle wok hey, the fragrance of the Thai basil, and the flames from the peppers intertwined nicely together on your tongue like a Ram Muay before a main card showdown at the Lumpinee stadium. Delicious mussel pancake and pad thai dish! The pancake was savoury, and the pad thai wasn't the ketchup-y kind of noodle. This was the better and more unique dish. I also had the khao soi, which was good too. On par with what I've had at other Thai restaurants in the GTA. I enjoyed the Muay Thai theme of the restaurant, as the Muay Thai matches on tv and the ropes around the walls are decorated to make it look like you're in the ring. I only take a star off because it took a pretty long time (30 min wait) to get our food, even though the restaurant was not very busy. read more

The chicken in the pad Thai had a distinctive peanut flavor like it was marinated in peanut sauce and also the pad Thai had a smokey flavor. The papaya salad was fresh and delicious however if there's one thing I didn't like, the sauce had soy sauce which is something I have never had on this salad before and hid the delicate flavor of the papaya. First up was the tom yum which was decent but the shrimp weren't deveined properly which was a bit off putting. The red curry with beef was ok, the beef was extremely chewy. The pad see ew noodles were way too sweet. It was one of those meals where you eat so little because you have a few bites and you're like "never mind, I'm good". Yesterday I visited this venue for their Grand Opening, as a friend had informed me that they would be giving out free pad Thai from 12 pm to 2 pm, while supplies last. I arrived just after 12 at which time there was a lineup to the front door; the line gradually moved forward and I received my meal shortly after 12:30. The venue appeared fairly upscale, with some murals and is long and narrow; as I likely expected, our gifts were takeout so I took mine home and had it for dinner last night. Everything was quite delicious, from the plentiful noodles to the meat, mushrooms, greens and pad thai itself, as well as the hot sauce provided. Being a large enough portion overall for a complete meal, I generously thank Muay Thai for such an exemplary and thoughtful gesture to 'celebrate' their opening. I briefly checked their posted menu upon arrival and their crispy chicken dish seemed appealing so I hope to make it back there before too long as it's walking distance for home for me. It's also in a good location for passersby considering the numerous shops nearby and being transit-friendly. To provide a little more insight into Muay Thai, it's a one-of-a-kind boxing-themed restaurant that combines Thai culture, delectable cuisine, and the art of Muay Thai all under one roof, and it's the latest venture from the team behind Toronto's Thai House Cuisine and Thay Thai Bar. Came here on a weekday evening for dinner - there was ample seating and we got a seat right away however it took a while to flag down someone to seat us as it seemed like there was only 1 person working behind the bar. We got the pad thai + hoy tod which was unique since it was like a variety dish. We also got the picanha crying tiger steak dish - it came out with sticky rice that youre supposed to eat like a sushi. Muay Thai just opened on Queen St W, and the manager was extremely friendly and helpful. He told us that they'd host muay thai watch party weekends in the summer. The menu was limited and we didn't get to have mango sticky rice, the only downside! Complimentary mango salad was nice and refreshing, and the chicken was the star of the show for my pad thai. I would have appreciated a lime and less sauce, but they're still tweaking their menu and that's understandable. We really liked the pad see ew. The food was amazing! I ordered the Pad Kra Pao with chicken and it came with a soup. All of it was so yummy! I also ordered a tall Singha beer to wash down all the flavors and spices. I was happy that I was able to order sticky rice as well as prik nom pla on the side. The service was pretty quick and the servers were very attentive and patient. It was pure fate that brought us into Muay Thai on the last night of our spring break weekend trip to Toronto. We had plans for another well reviewed Thai restaurant that was not known for taking many reservations to arrive to find out they were closed for the night. As my kids were set on Thai we quickly searched for an alternative. Upon entering we were promptly greeted by the friendly owner? Manager? Who directed us to the closest table and brought us water and menus immediately. He expertly walked us through the menu advising they had only been open three weeks. We started with the spring rolls. Piping hot and crispy with a nice tangy sauce to accompany. I wanted the spicy basil noodle but with grilled chicken, he accommodated without question. My husband got the steak over rice cooked perfectly with some spice and tender steak. My son said the pad Thai was the best he ever had which is saying something as he is very picky. Decor was fun and hip with good music playing. They are working on their sports offerings on the TVs so so will be a true sports bar. All in all a fun and unexpected night out. The steak has a really good sauce that comes with it and is seasoned really well! This was a pretty unique place with a unique menu and had many great options for appetizers as well! Our group of 7 had a wonderful lunch experience at Muay Thai. The service was excellent. The lunch specials were delicious and large and came with a spring roll and soup. There was only one other table of two when we were there (1-2:30). I sure hope more people discover this place. read more
