Who knew this hidden gym was in Longview?! Perfect stop for my Thai cravings! There's nothing fancy about this place, but it does the job. Limited seating but a full menu to choose from and so many beverage choices including wine and bubble tea. This was actually my first bubble tea experience here! Honestly won't be doing it again but worth a try! Food: ordered egg rolls as an appetizer and they were great. Wish they had a sour sauce with it versus whatever the thin water sauce was, but still good. For my meal, I had the pad Thai (spicy level 3, they give you a 1-5 Spicy rating system to use) with chicken. Service was quick and food was delicious! I will definitely be a returning customer. My only issue was a plastic cup with a chuck out of the top rim leaving a sharp area that could hurt someone (sometimes it's in the details you know). This place is pretty good. There are limited choices when it comes to Thai food but the flavors here aren't bad. I've been to some amazing places in Los Angeles and Las Vegas and this place is pretty good. Pad Thai- basic item and it had good taste. I like that you can choose spice level. Although I ordered chicken there was not a lot of chicken in it. I wish there was more bean sprouts. $8.95 Krapow Fried Rice- I choose spicy level and this was good. The peppers and bamboo shoots really made this dish. The chicken amount was good. The flavors were spot on. Fried Tofu- hard to mess this up. The sauce it comes with is good (it has red onions and cucumber in the sauce). $6.99 Mango Sticky Rice- this was extremely disappointing. The mango was clearly rotten and spoiled and old. No flavor whatsoever. The rice was kind of hard. The coconut milk didn't taste like anything. Avoid this at all cost. Thai Tea- DELICIOUS! Thai tea is Thai tea. Started the night with egg rolls, I have to say the original ones (see photo I posted in Yelp early on) were really good. They have switched to store bought smaller ones and kept the price the same. The new ones not very good. The meal came quick and was excellent, great portion size - couldn't ask for anything else. Good job. This is a great place. The directions won't take you to the exact spot so look around. We had the shrimp fresh spring rolls. Very generous serving and delicious. We also had the Pad Thai and the Chiangmai Thai Chicken. Both were large portions and made to order and tasted very good. Reluctantly throwing in the towel on Chiang Mai. Great food, spotty service, but has always been a good choice for dining in or takeout. This recent patronage, for take out, was disappointing. Despite asking to confirm that the order was complete, arrived home to find the sauce was missing for one of the dishes. Power out from the storm, first meal other than a banana for lunch in a cold dark house. A couple of candles. The soup and other dishes were satisfying. Stopped by today to let them know the disappointment and to get the sauce for the untouched dish. Manager was rude and insulting. It's one thing to tolerate slow and/or unattentive servers because the food is worth small annoyances. It's another thing altogether to be insulted by the manager. Done with Chiang Mai. read more

The food was more than Enjoyable. As for the service... it was also enjoyable.. although there was old food stuck to my cup (not a huge deal) they promptly got me a new clean Cup... We started with the muscles and beef jerky for appetizers. They were so good!! The jerky was tender, I really enjoyed the crunch of the cabbage under it, and the fresh taste the cilantro added. It came with a sweet sauce I really enjoyed too, and I usually don't prefer sweet stuff. The muscles had a rich and delicious broth in the bottom of the dish that really amped up the flavor. Next, we ordered 1 pot of the Tom Yum (I added tofu and broccoli) and 1 pot of Egg soup. It's awesome that you can pick between so many different spicy levels for your dish cause I Loveeee spicy food . What really made our experience the best aside of the incredible food was our waiter. James was on his game all the way! Our drinks were always full, Hes an amazing prebuser, and we never had to wish or want for anything. He's also a great conversationalist . This is one on my favorite place for Thai food. I frequent this place once every couple of weeks when we need our spicy craving. Well this last time I visited on September 15, 2018 we noticed our bill was higher than normal. We normally get the same dishes and same amount would be expected. I have a family of 4 our 2 boys and my spouse. We come to find out I looked at my bill twice and noticed there was a "Automatic Gratuity". I am thinking there was only four of us and they charge for automatic gratuity that's not right. I asked the waiter how come and his reply was "oh our system automatically charges that if it goes over certain dollar amount". So I looked very carefully at our bill and sure enough the waiter was trying to pull a quick one us as my check said we have a party of 7 instead of 4. The kicker is the waiter asked me twice if I wanted my change back out of $100 bill when my bill was $81.98 with the "Automatic Gratuity". BE CAREFUL AND CHECK YOU BILL. The food was good when it finally came. Parties of 4 came in 15 minutes after we did and ate paid and left. My daughter and I ordered chicken fried rice and served 45 minutes later. I've worked as wait staff and the way they try to take care of the customers is BS. Assign 5 -6 tables to each server and then take care of them. Having 4 of them run around with food and no clue where they go is ridiculous. I got a refill on my tea when we got the check. Couldn't make eye contact with her for 30 minutes. First off, I've been here about five times, and I plan to come back. But I have a lot of problems with this restaurant. The first time I went, they somehow messed up the order and I waited over an hour and 15 minutes. I was so mad I almost left, but instead changed it to a to-go order. Didn't get any discount or freebie for my absurdly long wait. They're new, so I cut them some slack. I went to the restaurant a couple days ago for a friend's birthday, which was the only reason I would actually dine in. Once again, extremely slow but friendly service, and I think we *only* waited 30 minutes this time. My food came out last, and the waitress spilled a little bit of the swimming rama sauce. One friend ordered lemonade: they were out. He ordered the fried banana dessert: they were short on bananas. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the service again. The food is good, for Thai in Longview. Their hours are much better than Lil Thai House, and a faster drive. My favorites are the pad Thai and Massaman curry. Their other rice dishes are a little bland, and portions are on the smaller size. I'm happy I can get my meal not very spicy. I've had better experience with my takeout orders, so I'll stick to that. I had black pearl boba, the standard, and they were not at all flavored. Generally, the pearls are soaked in a sweet solution, sugar water, something... These, nothing. Completely bland and blah. Also they were not cooked well; the texture was off. Not even the right shape. Completely misshapen and lumpy and disappointing instead of smooth balls. The drink itself, I got milk tea, and my boyfriend had the green tea. They weren't awful flavor-wise; they were very thick, though -- more ice than tea, it seemed. Don't be fooled by the sparse seating and simple style. This place will surprise you with their consistently delicious dishes. From spring rolls to rice bowls (get the pineapple fried rice), I've had nothing I didn't love here with the exception of a Thai fish appetizer. I don't think it was bad, just not for me. The satay chicken is my favorite app and the pineapple fried rice my favorite entree. They have a good selection of wine and beer and are a great "hole in the wall" secret in Longview. read more
