Prices went up again... $35 per load. their website has been down for awhile. A larger waste management purchased the operation a few years back. Sine then, the prices hav steadily increased. I understand that However, on THIS trip, there was a huge lack of supervision by at the property. One gal at the gate, a few guys on equipment. That's it. I saw a dishwasher, tires and concrete in the general trash dump, construction wood in the green waste, a kid about seven, running around playing in the dump area, around his dad's truck... ( a customer, not employee). Hey, it's not my place. Not my rules. BUT, it isn't run as tight and organized as it used to be. 1st of all they' are rude. They gave us a vest to wear I didn't know you had to wear those to unload the trailer. I asked for 2 they only gave us one! They didn't give us no directions on where to go it was our 1st time there. Also expensive I only pay $30-$35 in Paso Robles on hw46. Here they charge me $55 read more

The dude in the gate booth, along with his girlfriend, was extremely rude to my worker when he dropped off. Being told to fu*k-off while working in the service industry is the lowest. The same booth dude was given several 1-star reviews over the course of 4 years. Also, THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER to call. The 805-466 number is only a recording that doesn't accept messages. There is no active phone # listed on their website that accepts calls either. In order to reach anyone, the website advises to email them. LOLOLOL!!! A chat is available, but it's a bot. It's programmed to say it's not a bot, but - duh. It's totally obvious. I wish you luck if you need to deal with this "trashy" company. read more

Prices have continued to increase- but it's always well maintained and orderly. They seem to have streamlined the dumping process

My partner showed up to Chicago Grade Landfill just two minutes after closing, and instead of being met with a basic level of human decency, the guy working there slammed the window shut right in his face like a total jerk. No words, no explanation--just pure attitude. We get it, closing time is closing time, but that doesn't give anyone a free pass to be aggressive and disrespectful. There's a difference between enforcing policy and being an outright a**hole. If that's how you treat people over two minutes, maybe reconsider who you have at the window repping your business. read more

If you want to be treated like trash, when you need to dispose of your trash, this is the place for you! Very rude employees (booth attendant and operations manager). It is expensive, which I can accept...but not extremely poor customer service. read more

Just a warning to others... we went here with a load of 15 pieces of rotten 2x4's they were at the most 6' long. We had them tarped and they wanted to charge us $50 this is Absolutely Ridiculous!!! We turned around and left. read more

As a Atascadero resident you were able to drop up to 15 gallons of Hazerdous Waste like antifreeze. Was able to get rid of antifreeze used motor oil and some old lead acid batteries. Super friendly and fast and free. read more

Unfortunately I am here almost every week, never go longer than two weeks without a visit. After almost a year I still have not had a friendly encounter with the employee. I have brought the same exact load of leaves for months now. Sometimes she charges the flat rate, and sometimes it's much more even when the trailer is less full. I've argued over her inconsistencies and it doesn't seem to help. Living right down the street is the only reason I continue to go. But it's been happening long enough that a review was unfortunately warranted. read more

Just had an encounter with a RUDE AF gal on the phone. All I wanted to know was how much $ to drop off a mattress. She politely told me i could drop off 3 for free. I then asked her how much to enter the facility. This is where it started to go down hill. Right away her voice changed to indignant as if I should KNOW there is no separate charge to enter the facility. (I haven't been there in YEARS lady! How the f should i know) So I double checked about the fee just to make I heard her correctly. In a completely pissed voice she said, "IT'S. FREE." So I bid her a pleasant good buy. read more

Great people doing great work for our area. $30 for a load under 1 ton. Separate areas for green waste, clean wood, electronics, household cleaners and hazardous waste, recycling, and landfill. Employees were very helpful and overall great experience. read more

When in need of a dump run this is a good option. For a landfill, I think they have good practices.

Yes this is the dump. Yes people take way too much stuff to the dump. but these guys handle it, sort it, recycle it and reuse it and do a real good job of cleaning up after our town. Thanks Chicago Grade landfill. read more

Their website told me to take household hazardous waste. I drove it down there and they said they only take it Saturday is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. when I said it didn't say that at their website the attendant instructed me but they have two websites. One they are unable to take down from a previous owner. It was kind of disappointing. read more

I have lived in atascadero my whole life and have been using the dump for home and business for the past 30 years,,, NEVER have I had such a bad experience. First off someone needs to teach the millennials that work there that the customer is "most" often correct, and second some MANNERS.. I didn't have a weight because I borrowed a dump trailer so I needed to wait to get a total weight for payment.. I realized since they closed on Sundays that the line was long, even into the main road.. I waited patiently (which was around 6-9 truck and trailers) and for the line to get out of the main road, and then proceeded to the scale. The girl started cursing at me to wait my F@#$@ing turn, which in turn FIRED me up to let her know I HAD been waiting for over 30 minutes... After numerous cussing she told me to get the F out of there and she was going to tell her boss to BAN me... I got my video camera out and asked her politely if she would like me to pay, where she continued yelling at me to leave before she called the cops...... Well now I am pissed, she had ZERO people skills and should not be working with the public... Looking at some other reviews it may seem like this is a common occurrence.....SMH read more
