I seriously don't think I can sing her praises enough…read more Cecil is the type of person that gets her point across easily because she's direct and firm, and continues to poke and prod even if it's uncomfortable. The number of times she reached out to my (incredibly difficult to work with) venue coordinator and got much needed answers for me ASAP was insane. She was detail oriented and beyond organized, even when compared to my hyper Type A self. Not only did she create a minute-by-minute plan for my day, but she did all the legwork, such as confirming all of my appointments and reaching out to all of my hired personnel/vendors to confirm details in the contracts, finalize time frames and ask any additional questions. She responded to my emails (practically) immediately, which lowered my stress levels dramatically. Cecil quickly went from someone we hired to someone we trusted to a friend. Out of all honesty, the success of my wedding day was a huge part of Cecil's hard work. I can honestly say I enjoyed each and every moment of my wedding day and felt entirely stress free because I knew she was handling anything and everything that was occurring around me. She literally kept everything running smoothly. I've never been to a more organized wedding if I do say so myself :) I am forever grateful for her. We interviewed a bunch of Day Of Coordinators, most of which yield reactions like "They'd be okay" or "Let's keep looking". When we met Cecil for the first time, we knew she was the one. Whatever the request, Cecil was more than game to bring it to life. Acoustic guitar processionals? Sure. Silent Quaker ceremony? Done. Kazoo jam sesh? You betcha. She was communicative, and did a great job of getting the vendors on the same page. She kept our grandiosely overstuffed evening running like a Swiss train, and wasn't afraid to (oh so politely!) reign in some vocal family members who despite their best intentions threatened to compromise the vision we had for our big day. If you are planning an unconventional wedding and need someone who can take your plans and make them come to life, my partner and I couldn't recommend Cecil enough.

It was the third venue we toured and the moment we stepped in, we had that "this is it" feeling. We didn't bother touring any other venues after we visited Mae District for the first time. We absolutely loved the three different spaces at the venue, which helped the day flow easily, moving from the ceremony space to cocktail hour to dinner. The second floor space was an incredible bonus. The bridal suite was big and made getting ready so comfortable, and the extra huge open space gave our families room to hang out before the ceremony as well as a space to take photos. Our point of contact, Hanna Roberts, was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. She was quick to respond to emails, patiently answered all our questions, and even sent us swatches when we were torn between two table runner options. We also really wanted a boba bar for our wedding, and they delivered! We were able to create a custom sign for the boba bar, which was a huge hit with our guests. It also felt like the forms we had to fill out and send back were cumbersome and a repetitive, especially as compared to some of our other vendors, like our production company and photographer, where everything was electronic and super smooth.
