I would unfortunately not recommend Dr. Phelps. I had a consult with him which he was 10 minutes late to. The call lasted about 20 minutes (consults are $250). He spent the majority of the call telling me that it gave him anxiety to operate on someone who doesn't live within driving distance of their office. That's a reasonable policy to have in place but I wish that information had been communicated to me before I waited 6 months for this appointment and paid $250. 19 minutes into talking with me, he said he had a patient who was "actually here in the office" and he needed to go. I found this incredibly rude. During our brief call, I got mixed signals from him about whether or not I would be allowed to have surgery since I don't live nearby. By the end of the consult, I asked the doctor point blank if he would recommend surgery and he said yes it would benefit me. He even sent an invoice for surgery! Then, the office informs me that he does not in fact recommend surgery. So Dr. Phelps lied to me during my consult. After a conversation with Jasmine the manager, it was clear that no one was at all sympathetic to my confusion and concerns. I was able to get my consult fee refunded which I was grateful for. However, I received no apologies and, overall, my experience at this facility seems fairly unacceptable for a doctor's office. read more

Yes, I am in fact your patient. I had to wait more than a couple of months but I had a follow up appointment with Dr Phelps' and his demeanor completely changed compared to my first visit. He was cold and unsympathetic. Said fillers don't interfere with the lymphatic system. He said he wouldn't dissolve my fillers, that if I was unhappy I had to go elsewhere to get them dissolved. How come he didn't mention this before he injected my face with fillers? Why did he lie about them being temporary ? This dishonest behavior from a doctor shouldn't be legal. He shouldn't be allowed to inject people with anything. My experience has been horrific. Please avoid the tears I had to shed from this experience. I don't understand how these people go to sleep at night when they cause so much suffering for money. read more

I would highly recommend Dr. Phelps and his team. Every interaction I had with each member of the team was of the greatest professionalism. It was very comforting to see them all work together for one common goal. Sometimes going to the doctor you feel like you're just a number. Here you feel like you're part of the family. I was a bit nervous having such an invasive surgery but felt comforted as Dr. Phelps's and his team put together a perfect plan and also took the time to be sure I understood all my options. After a long journey trying to treat and heal my wife's eye issues a friend of my wife's had recommended we consult with Dr Phelps. We had visited and consulted with numerous other Dr.'s over the past decade whom stated their was little they could do to treat her condition. I had a great experience with Dr. Phelps and I highly recommend his services. His office environment is warm and sunny and his staff are kind and friendly, while being very professional. I was really encouraged by the success photos on Dr. Phelps' Instagram. I had the works; upper and lower eyelids, brows and bags, as well as the CO2 laser resurfacing. My pre and post op directions and supplies were helpful, clear and easy to use. The recovery was waaaaay better than I had expected. I came across Dr Phelps after doing extensive internet research and also having long conversations with various acquaintances of mine who have undergone the procedure that I was looking into. After many years of heavy eyelids and very baggy eyes ( hereditary) coupled with a lazy eye, which had only gotten worse over the years I decided to take the plunge and do something about it. I had several consultations with different doctors but the minute I walked into Dr Phelps office I got a feeling I was in the right place. I was not wrong. From Maria at the front desk, to the nurse who performed a pre eye exam on me, to the actual consultation with Dr. Phelps I felt completely relaxed and so welcome by all of the very patient staff. Trust me, I had a lot of questions and fears about the procedures, but I left my appointment very confident and excited to proceed with my surgery. Fast forward. It's been exactly a week since my surgery. I followed all of Dr Phelps and his teams pre and post surgery instructions to the letter. My recovery has been remarkable. Barely any bruising, minimal swelling....and already my results look amazing. It's still early days and I still have a little healing to do, but I honestly couldn't be happier. I had a upper blepharoplasty and CO2 laser done with Dr.Paul Phelps and he was fantastic! From the first consultation I already felt comfortable with him and his staff. I had a fairly large skin tag on the end of my eyelid that refused to reduce despite a variety of OTC products. I finally researched and found Dr.Phelps near me, and was very impressed with his specialty and background. A quick consult laid my anxious fears to rest, and I set an appointment to remove the tag. Absolutely amazing experience from start to wonderful and beautiful finish! Could not be happier with the results! I look even better than I had hoped and you truly cannot see any evidence of the surgery other than the amazing results. You can actually see my eyes when I smile! The ONLY thing I would change is having the surgery performed years ago with Dr. Phelps. I located Dr. Phelps from extensive research and consulting with friends in the medical field on the absolute best for blepharoplasty. I then visited multiple surgeons before deciding on the practice. Dr. Phelps was the only surgeon who took a very close look at my eyes (!) and talked about eye health, not just the aesthetic results. I felt 100% comfortable knowing that not only was this his specialty, but that he and his amazing team were the absolute best. They did not disappoint! I have always been self-conscious of my droopy eyelids. As I've gotten older, the droop got more pronounced and uneven. You could not even see my eyes when I smiled and could never tell if I was wearing eye make-up (which just ended up smeared if I wore it). Everyone commented on how tired I looked, even when I was well-rested. I had been thinking about getting the surgery for years and finally decided after finding Dr. Phelps that it was time and that he was the person I wanted to perform the surgery. I had a bilateral upper blepharoplasty and internal browpexy to help the results last longer. I was conscious for the entire procedure which took about an hour, and I went home immediately after. I have never used contacts or had any corrective glasses (other than readers as I've gotten older), so was pretty uncomfortable with the idea of "things in my eyes" but Dr. Phelps and Marie talked me through the entire procedure and they could not have been more wonderful. I felt 100% comfortable in their care. The method that he uses, a CO2 laser, was really incredible. It minimized the scarring and shortened my recovery time drastically from what I had anticipated before I talked with Dr. Phelps. The recovery was surprisingly fast. I iced as instructed, and limited salt and alcohol (at Thanksgiving no less), used the ointment for my very small stitches and really saw the difference right away. I was able to work almost immediately after surgery and even had zoom calls a few days later. I was only swollen for a week or so and the bruising went away with time and with arnica gel (talk to the team about their new products for post-surgery recovery....amazing!). One week after surgery, I had very little swelling and some limited bruising. Two and a half weeks after surgery, I was in New York and no one could tell I had just had surgery on my eyes! I will share my recovery photos with Dr. Phelps and you can see them on his instagram site. I finally look on the outside like I felt on the inside. It's made all the difference and I cannot recommend Dr. Phelps highly enough. read more

I've had a droopy eyelid for many years. It began to effect my vision especially peripheral. I searched different doctors and read reviews when I came to Dr. Phelps. I carry a lot of anxiety and right from the beginning the calm and confident nature of Dr. Phelps and his office staff put me at ease. I had the surgery across both eyelids for symmetry. Maybe I heal easier than others but I didn't even bruise. I followed his instructions and swelling was practically gone in two days. I dreaded the procedure because of my anxiety but I couldn't have been happier. It was easier than I thought and basically took an hour. The doctor himself calls you the next day which again is very reassuring. I couldn't wait for my follow up after a week so I could show him how well I was coming along!
