I only gave one star because I wanted to write a review. I ordered my food at 9:00pm I was told my order would be 45 minutes so I gave them a hour. (Btw one of the cooks laughed and said "you told her 45 minutes") Well its 10:30 and I'm still here. The lady at the register had the nerve to tell me that they don't put your order together until you pay for it. (With sooooo much sarcasm). Why have call in????? This place is a ripoff and food over cooked. I ordered a small link dinner. When I got home and opened the bag, I had 1 link that was burnt and dried out. The chicken is wonderful and the sauce ia by far my favorite. The ribs are either hit or miss depending on the cook. The customer service is horrible. Even if you call in a order expect to wait. They never rush unless they know the person. Dont get no attitude with them before you pay. no refunds so check first. I had chicago pit stop yesterday. I called in my order and was quoted 20 minutes. I arrived in 25 minutes to pay for my food and had to wait an additional 35 minutes to receive my food. On Sunday, July 9, 2017, I had the opportunity to visit the I-57 Rib House at 97th and Halsted. First of all, the place needs to be shut down, little nasty hole in wall wasn't very appealing to be serving food. Behind the counter was even nastier. And not only was the place nasty, the big woman taking orders was even nastier looking and had a horrible nasty attitude to go with it. So I was not surprised when I got home and the food was H-O-R-R-I-B-LE. Actually, I give that place no stars but you had to pick a star to write a review. They need to be out of business for running that nasty dog house and serving that dog food - I take that back, that' s not even good enough to feed dogs. I ended up throwing away $40 bucks. I went to I-57 ffor the first time last night and the customers serivce was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E, I MEAN HORRIBLE. The lady was rude from the time we entered the restaurant. I went there because I was told they have good food, however If I would have know the service was horrible, I would have taken my money to a different location. If you've ever heard of "The product sells it'self" this is what they meant. There is absolutely no customer service. The girls they have working here are so ghetto and ignorant, from how rudely they are on the phone taking your order, til when you arrive to pick it up. I called to place my order and the young lady answered rudely, kept saying is this it, is this it. Then at the end she said 30 min and just hung up. Once I got there, I waited in line for 10 min, not because there were people in line, but the girl was off on the side on her cellphone. Now she comes to the window, I give her my name and I pay, then she says it will be up in a min. I waited another 20 min for my order (which didn't have wings because there sign says wings are not dropped until customer is actually here, if this is the case why do they allow you to order wings over the phone...Dumb). I've heard the owner lives out of state, not sure who manages this place, but they have no customer service skills because if they did they would pass it down to their employees. Great food, rib tips fall off the bones. Food is seasoned to perfection and covered in a delicious BBQ sauce. Very reasonable prices and you get nice sized portions. Wait time is a little long but definitley worth the wait after you taste the food. I- 57 gets two thumbs up from me!!! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE...I called to place an order...the young lady asked me can I hold for a minute, without even waiting for my answer, she laid the phone down. I was on hold for 11 minutes, she took 7 orders, called 10 people numbers to pick up their order, and had a conversation with the staff, but never once came back to the phone. When she did pick up the phone, she just hung it up....I called back, she did the same thing, can you please hold and just dropped the phone on the counter top, and continue to talk to staff. The Name has changed to Chicago Pit Stop Barbeque. I am not sure if this place has new owners but my last visit was HORRIBLE. I placed my order on the phone so I would not have a long wait. I arrived and stood at the window for at least 15 minutes as the employees in the back chatted and looked at me. No one said hello or we will be there in a minute. Finally a young lady came from the back and said, "Y'all talking to me and I got a line out here". I gave her my name, my food was waiting and I paid and left. I got the large turkey tips and it was awful. The tips were cut into large chunks. The meat was tough. I could not tell if it was under or over cooked. This was the first time my food was AWFUL. My dog had a great time but I was disappointed. That was my last visit. I will call the other location to see if this place has new owners or what. My visit to this location is one of many but this particular visit was horrific. On Feb 13, 2015 I was on my way to a concert but decided to order bbq before I left. I did the phone order at 5:30pm. As I mentioned before I have visited this location many times and have experienced long wait time. Therefore I felt an order placed an hour ago should be prepared & ready for pick up by 6:15pm or 6:30pm. When I arrived there was long line and I waited patiently. When I approached the window & explain to the young lady my phone order she then gave me a ticket & said step to the side. At that moment I told her the order was placed at least an hour ago. "Shouldn't it be ready?" She rudely asked "do you want it?" I answered "of course", she then said it should be ready in 5 or 10 minutes. I waited for 15 minutes when I noticed the lady after me in line (who had a phone order) received her food. I then approached the window & asked "where's my order?". I was told it was cancelled. I was very angry & walked out. The patron who was behind me in line stated she heard one of the employees tell the other employee to cancel my order even though they saw me standing & waiting on my order for 15 minutes. I have decided to never visit this location again. The staff need customer service training and there should be a policy regarding pick up(phone) orders. The owner should reach out to her customers and hand out surveys to determine what areas within her establishment she needs to improve (definitely the staff [even though some are relatives]). Also a note to the owner, remember your business succeed due to the customers that support your establishment. If you want to continue to thrive I would suggest taking courses in business management and working at least 2-3 days at the locations. Then maybe better communication, and service will trickle down to your employees. All-in-all my rating is based on excellent food but 2 thumbs down for service. read more

The service here is TERRIBLE!!! I placed an order for a bucket of turkey rib tips and a large order of regular tips and a tray of French fries. I waited 50mns for my order, drove home (25mns away), checked my order only to find a spoonful of barbecue sauce on the top of all of my food. I thought to myself, no big deal I'll just call them, explain the situation and go pick up some additional sauce. I called, explained the situation, the girl on the phone said that's fine you can come back and buy some sauce for $1.25 ea. I get in the car, drive back 25mns only to be told by another girl that "you can't buy sauce unless you place an order". I produce my receipt to show that I just bought an order ($39.00 order) and explained the situation. Only to be told that I can only buy two little sauces when I needed 4 to cover the amount of food I had ordered. Mind you the girl behind the counter had a horrible attitude and began to yell when I began asking questions as to why there is a limit on how many side sauces you can buy. Mind you it doesn't say on the menu on the wall that there is a limit to how many side sauces you can buy. In the end, I wound up having the girl shut the window in my face, and then she began to call me all kind of unkind words behind the window. I then asked for the owners contact information and was told "I can't give that information out!" The workers are completely rude yet incompetent!!! The owners information is public information via the City of Riverdale business license requirements as well as building property information. I will be mailing a compliant to the business and will look into every avenue to lodge a complaint with the owner who likely doesn't care as many customers sitting in the lobby echoed my point in the poor customer service and stated that they too had received poor customer service/wait times. If the owner had any sense they would be there to monitor their employees. You can't help but know that you have a bunch of rude workers and I'm sure many people have complained about the poor customer service and wait times!!!! To make this even worse, the rude workers stated "we're just workers, these are the owners rules, I don't know what to tell you"!! I will NEVER spend not one red penny of my money at this place again!! The food is great, but not the poor customer service and wait times. This place should be shut down!!! The customer service is horrible. I was a regular customer, but I will not return. When I placed my order at 5:05 I said,"make sure you don't forget the coleslaw" and she said, "okay." When I picked up my bucket of rib tips at 5:50 I asked her about the coleslaw and she said, "we don't have any." I asked her what do you guys substitute when you run out? Her response was, you don't get nothing because it is complimentary. I asked her,"if it is complimentary, why does the menu say it comes with fries, coleslaw and bread." I told her to forget it and just give me a refund and she said, "we don't give refunds." After going back and forth with her she said, "if you want to wait, it will take 25 minutes to make some coleslaw." If it takes 25 minutes to make coleslaw and you close at 11:00, why wouldn't you make more. I told her that was fine and I would come back. After I left I called back and told her to just put my name on their list and I will pick it up another day. Her response was if you don't pick it up today you won't get it. There is no way I was going to take any food from them, on this day. I told her I was going to make a complaint and asked for the owner's name. I asked her to let me talk to the manager and she said, "I am the manager." I told her they lost a customer and asked for her name. Her response was, you don't need my name because you aren't coming back and at the end of the day it is what I say because I am the manager. She also said,"you making a complaint doesn't mean anything and my check is going to be the same, I am going to keep on getting my check." It is so sad when you have a manager that doesn't care about the owner's business and when they are out of business, the management is the reason. I guess I will go back to WooWoo's BBQ and Exsenator's BBQ because they are about the same, if not better. read more
