I am not sure I can review this in an omazing manner due to the fact that we decided not to stay. I wanted seafood. Crab legs. Some fried appetizer perhaps. I wanted a good stiff drink as I ate all this yum yum. But I was apprehensive before I left my truck. Couldnt figure out what was the entrance to the place. It was dark. It didnt even appear like ppl were in there. The parking lot didnt seem like anyone was suppose to be parking there.... there were elements that had me feeling this was a bad choice. Finally went inside .. still weird as to when we looked around.. It wasn't "restaurant looking". (See images). No hints of garlic... no FOOD SCENTS. JUST WEIRD. It wasnt packed, a hostess set us down. Everyone stared as we got our seat. I just knew this was a bad idea. I looked over the one page menu. The drink specials in which all were priced at $12. I just didn't feel moved to stay. Their appetizer selection was limited. And I felt the same regarding entrees. I needed ANOTHER TYPE OF EXPERIENCE. And it was not going to be here. Unfortunately. Maybe in the summer if one of my friends or family asks if I wanted to go, I MAY if my laundry doesnt need to be washed and folded. But..... the vibe I got from this venue-did not sit well with me. Of course seafood boils are one of the crazes right now, but this place definitely delivers on it. They have another location that I haven't been to yet, but this one has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. In the summer, you are able to sit outside on their patio or around their rooftop pool! Even when the place gets packed (and it does happen, especially if they have a special), the service doesn't suffer too much. I normally stick with my crab legs and shrimp in the bag - they give you a couple of pieces of corn and potatoes with it (you can add more if you want) and I stuck with one of the sauces that is relatively mild, with one of their spicy sauces on the side. However the menu is full of tons of good items ranging from lobster bites, to crab and spinach dip and more. The drinks are the other highlight - they have frozen ones that are huge and worth the money - my favorite is the Po Pos and it's a peach strawberry slushy that is mixed with tequila. NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!!!! They're across the street from the strip club K.O.D. This place is Not getting its due credit!!!! I have no idea how long they've been here, but I'm so glad I had been seeing pics on IG and Googled them. The space is small, but it has a southern homely feel to the place as soon as you enter. The servers were very nice too. we only ordered fried shrimp & chicken, but it was DELICIOUS!!! I think they've jumped on the crab boil bag bandwagon, but the way the shrimp & chicken tastes I'm sure they have the others beat!!! Took our food about 15 mins to come out. Which wasn't bad at all for a Saturday night at 9pm. Then there's the drinks! Omg what a huge, strong concoction they made me. I was good and tipsy after only 1!!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE. Went on Wednesday for the special for $13.99 (1 snow crab about 6 unpeeled shrimp 2 small potatoes and one of those small corns cut in half), I asked for Cajun flavor I could see the red seasoning but couldn't taste it. But the flavor on the corn and potatoes were bomb! If you are hungry you may wanna order 2 or an appetizer. We missed the $5 Long Island drink special which ironically isn't the duration of the time as the food special, which sucks doesn't really make sense, it ends at 8pm. Nice sized parking lot, there was a person in the security booth, so I guess that's a plus. There is a pool on site where the outdoor seating is. Oh only thing I really didn't like is the table was too small for the massive booth they sat us in, it was 3 in our party sharing a kids side table. I came in tonight for a take out order. The estimated time was on time. I ordered the Craboroni Pie. OMG when I got home the bag was so greasy. So I opened the container & took a bite GREASY is an understatement to describe this pie. I ordered it b/c it have all the seafood in it. Honestly the food is great but the service is so poor it over shines the food any day. The first time i ordered from grubhub and my food got there an hour an a half late with one meal missing. When i called they were just finishing the second meal meaning it wasn't put out for my driver so he left it. Though enough could be said about the driver my food was STILL being prepared hours later. This place is just getting their restaurant legs, it's new, however what they lack in experience they make it up with their good intentions. Dinner time is extremely busy, but after 9pm on Friday, it was a warm cozy place for cocktails and seafood. The appetizers could be larger for the price compared to other restaurants serving the same selections. Southern shouldn't mean slow or left waiting & if in a hurry, give them a few more months. It comes out hot and the seafood on my platter was seasoned, tender and juicy. I wish I could have ordered some french fries( they appear on the website but not served with the lobster bites) that lets you know if a seafood restaurant is above average because they are hot and not fishy tasting. Otherwise, don't miss a chance to give this place in Harvey a chance to bring back dining in the community. They have a secured parking lot. The music is a combination of 21st century mixed with a little R&B and top 40. Special thanks to Kim, Kat and they waitstaff that made us feel welcome and attended to our needs. This was the worst seafood boil I've visited. Portions were scant for the extremely overinflated pricing and the seasonings weren't great either. My friends and I ordered the lobster bites as an appetizer (which cost $14-15, for just an appetizer!!?) and they brought it out with only 2 or 3 TINY pieces of lobster in the basket...along with 4 fries. When we told the waitress there was hardly any lobster in the basket she explained that they fry whatever meat is in the lobster tail and that the particular tail the cook picked must not have had much meat in it...and that the cook(s) must have put the fries in to make up for the lack of lobster......We ordered LOBSTER BITES, not French fries. And on top of that, why would they think it appropriate to make the substitution without first notifying us of the change? The wait time was long and we got our appetizer at the same time as our entrees. The entrees weren't much better. Yes, the seafood was fresh but that's about all it had going well: the seasonings were fine but they didn't really sink into the food. We got the Tuesday special for 17.99 and it only came with about 10 shrimp, two little pathetic potatoes a two small halves of lobster tail... I don't know where they get that baby lobster from, but they need to do better! The waitress was nice, so I don't blame her but the food and pricing are terrible. Simply put, the pricing does not reflect the quality of the food! You'd be better off hitting Cajun Boil in Oakbrook, IL or Cajun Spice in Woodridge, IL. I have to say the food was decent, the service was okay (our waitress had an attitude, but eventually she straightend that up!). I actually enjoyed the atmosphere more than anything. It was a nice crowd and it stayed busy. So let me get into my food....I ordered the shrimp po boy. I will say that the shrimp were a nice size, the sauce was flavorful, but it was on a toasted bun that was a bit hard. Upon ordering we were told by the worlds rudest waitress ( I will give her the fact that she was pregnant with a too little shirt on and belly hanging out). Who informed us that the margarita were for $5 are the happy hour special from 3pm to 8pm. How disappointing is that to drive 30 minutes for a misleading ad. I loved, loved, loved the special they had today which was 4 clusters of snow crab legs, 20 shrimp, potatoes and corn with a pitcher of lemonade for $40 and that garlic butter sauce is to die for! Was my first time going there with friends and I will definitely go again. The waitress we had was superb. She attended to us like she really cared. I hate to give a black business a poor review, but this is exactly what they earned. When I walked through the door I was greeted by an 8 year old host, shortly afterwards the bumbling manager came over and directed me to a table. 20 minutes later a waitress who was Zone to the top level was directed to my table on the lowest level. The manager is poorly trained and Confused on how to run a restaurant efficiently. The waitress took our order, and about 45 minutes later our drinks came; a $4 bottle of Corona with no glass to drink it from, and a $15 Long Island which was pre-made, and truly not a house specialty. We were never offered, or brought, any water in the interim. All of the tables around us had the same poor experience! Some guests opted to leave before their food even came due to the extended wait. When our food finally did come it was luke warm, as though it had finished cooking and was waiting under a heat lamp. I ordered the shrimp and french fry meal; my fries were a little undercooked, my shrimp was lightly breaded, and lightly fried with absolutely no seasoning. I did get a good portion of shrimp for the $16.99 price. My date ordered a po boy shrimp sandwich, for $10.99. it was cold, the shrimp was also lightly fried, and the tomato scraps were barely visible. The one positive, is that they did properly devein the shrimp. However, due to the shrimp being lightly fried and lightly coated, I believe that they buy pre-cooked shrimp and then fry it, which is truly unacceptable at a restaurant. I went to the restroom to wash my hands, there was no toilet paper in the stall, and no soap at the sink. I was no longer interested in finishing my meals at the restaurant so I paid my bill, tipping the waitress because it was truly Management's fault that the place is so poorly ran. Please be aware this is a converted strip club. Minimum sitting. I don't even believe they have a restaurant grade kitchen, because it takes them forever to finish cooking your food, and please believe me, your food will be cooked incorrectly. read more

I had a seafood bag, everything was greatly seasoned and hot. My favorite part about this place is the drinks! Well worth your money, I had a $10 Long Island and it was strong but GOOD. They also have a flame like drink with fire on the top. Great value too. One thing I don't like is you have to be IN the restaurant to be on the waitlist. So like I can't call in a reservation. Let me start my review off by saying the average rating for this spot is misleading and unfortunate as it truly deserves 5 stars. I love seafood, hearty portion sizes, and reasonable prices. If I can get a meal that's healthy too, I'm winning even more. Joe Willies has all of that. I requested that my food be prepared without margarine or butter or oils. Just water and seasoning. I don't recall the name of the dish I had, but it included lobster, shrimp, and crab legs for the protein and corn and potatoes for the veggies. There was not one single item that didn't taste fresh, well-seasoned, or absolutely delicious. I also had the lobster bites and gator bites. I've never had either item before, so I had no frame of reference for how good they usually are. The bites were fried crispy, but juicy on the inside, well-seasoned (as all of there food has proven to be), and once again...absolutely delicious. The customer service was also a major selling point. My waitress was transparent about how they cooked the food, and did not hesitate to ask the chief for questions she wasn't able to immediately answer. This is really a 3.5 for me, but to help them out with their yelp reviews, I put a 4. So, this has promise, they just need to work on a few things. It was happy hour. We had a HUGE, really good margarita for $5. We both ordered snow crab legs with garlic butter seasoning. I appreciate that all of the pores of my body were not oozing garlic like they are when I eat at similar places. The corn and potatoes were good. It also comes with sausage, but it's pork, so I passed. Now for the improvements. -The air was not on and it was HOT AS PURGATORY! Please get more fans if the air is not going to be on or TURN THE AIR ON! -It does take a little bit of time to get your food, so just sip on your drink :-) -They don't have handwashing stations and the bathroom had a watered down soap available. If you're going to have an establishment like this, you need real soap for the patrons to use. -There's a major pothole as you drive into the parking lot that needs to be repaired.
