I took a check in that was made out to me to be cashed and the "women" there claim the check was fake and wouldn't give it back to me.

Came here to get some money changed. The place looks sketchy from the outside, but it's straight up legit. They charge a $3 transaction fee on top of their mediocre exchange rate, but this is reasonable when you need money in a pinch. Staff were very fast, and I was out within 3 minutes. They do offer other services such as faxing, but I didn't use those. This place beats out the American Express place down the street hands down. read more

Came in at 9:54 pm as I was under the assumption this roach shack was open 24 hours, but recently changed their hours to close at 10pm.. I needed to reload a prepaid debit card, a tedious task that shouldn't take more than 2 minutes. Came here on Sunday afternoon to transfer a vehicle title, license plates, etc. Nothing complicated. I had been turned away already by three other Currency Exchanges who told me they didn't want to do my transaction and to come back Monday. Yes, that was irritating. Zulita was the sole worker here and she took care of it professionally. I was in and out in a very reasonable amount of time with no hassle. Best part....I thanked her for helping me and shared that I had been turned away at three other locations. They wouldn't even look at my paperwork. Zulita asked where the were located. Turns out one was a sister location of there's. She called the district manager and complained on my behalf. I didn't even ask her to! Zulita, thank you for being professional and providing great customer service. The world needs more people like you. read more

If I could give this place a ZERO!!! I would. I was there to cash a Western Union money order, and was refused by that manager Bertha!!! It was payable to me, I had ID, both parts of the money order and the receipt where it was purchased. I believe this was racial profiling, plain and simple!!! read more

Great place to get all the little annoying things done - parking permits, faxes, copies, money transfers, check cashing and other BS. Beware that their "Convenience" charges are a tad high. But it was much easier to get my parking permit from there, than going to the loop read more

I had the worst experience of my life at this particular currency exchange, I had come in to cash a replacement check from one of my employers, because there were absolutely no Wells Fargo Banks in the vicinity other then the one in Evanston Teller had to verify the check which is okay with me, while the first teller was trying to verifty the check, a second teller had asked for the number of my employer, in which I was unaware of at the time, so I had shown her the envelope in which the check had been placed in with the company's name and address clearing on the envelope Then after telling the second teller, repeatedly in a positive manner that the check in which I was attemping to cash was indeed a replacement check from my employer(Chicago Athletic Association) I was then told repeatly in a rude manner by the second teller that this particular currency exchange did not accept replacement checks, when I attempted to ask her why she repeated the comment by saying that particular store did not accept replacement checks, again and rude manner I have to speak to her manager and she refused to give me the manager's name ask her what her name was she gave me the initials MC and I her full name I also attempted to ask her for the customer service number and which she started replied with the 847 and they would not give me an additional telephone number for the customer service department I tried over 13 times on my phone to contact that particular number 847-713-1313, and all 13 times that I tempted to try to make contact with anyone from the customer hotline I have received a busy signal r 13 times An additional teller had just come in from lunch, and I had asked her who the manager was she stated that she would be back with me in a few minutes, and the teller whom had just walked in from lunch I found out was indeed the manager, she took about 20 minutes before she acknowledged me, and that was after I had to call her while I was in the facilities, but yet she had the time to conversate with the second teller The manager then after me contacting her on the phone had made a hand gesture for me to step over to the tellers window, despite the situation I attempted to explain to the manager regard the situation was with myself and the second teller(aka MC) unbusinesslike attitude, I explained to the manager that the second teller refuse to tell me the reason behind them not accepting secondary check, the second teller (aka MC) would only tell me that they just did not accept secondary checks The manager then attemped to explain to me that this particular currency exchange location had a bad experience with collecting funds from secondary checks, and again that their currency exchange location did not accept secondary checks I then attempted to go to another facility owned by the same company on Wilson to cash the check, and I had absolutely no issues or problems with cash the check Now even though the manager explain to me about the situation at the currency exchange on Chicago/Rush, there were no signs or illustrations in the facilities stating to the fact that they did not accept secondary checks this is verbally told to me without any written legal documentation being again illustrated in the facilities read more

I never felt compelled to write a review before until I dealt with this business. I was "helped" by an INCREDIBLY aggressive lady who was unbelievably difficult to communicate/work with. You cannot talk the way this employee did to a customer, especially when a lot of their services are overpriced. HORRIBLE service every time, but this topped it off. Came in here to possibly get quarters. I was waiting in line and seen the quarters behind the desk next to the woman. It was then my turn and asked to get quarters. This woman literally looked down at the quarters and then looked up at me and said she didn't have any. I didn't even bother to tell her I already seen them. But it's just the fact that she glanced at them then looked at me which threw me off. read more

Tatiana helped me get my first city sticker, and was extremely helpful. I have been going back and forth with the City Clerk via e-mail with no real answers, but this facility was able to issue me my sticker in a quick amount of time. After years of doing business with these people my monthly check is being with held. Im not going to have a dime to my name until I take legal action to get my money back..Im a disabled VET and a medically retired Cop...My only income is being with held and they will not send it back to the treasury until I take legal action.. I not only cashed my check there I also loaded credit cards , bought money orders, Cashed money orders and used their western union. I get less than 65 percent of what minimum wage is.
