Dr. Park is the most kind, caring, intelligent, and communicative doctor I've ever had. I've never had a doctor be so on top of my car. She genuinely cares for her patients. I feel so comfortable talking to her and trust everything she says. She is truly such a master of her craft. She also was the only doctor to get to the bottom of my complex sleep disorder. For several years, I was gaslit by doctors telling me that I couldn't sleep because of my mental state. I did one sleep test with Dr. Park and she was immediately able to identify the problem and fix it. She truly has been a godsend because my quality of life has improved so drastically since becoming a patient. I keep my insurance specifically as a PPO so I can stay in network with her. 6/13/2026 : I am copy-pasting my review of chicago sleep health from 2023 since Dr. Park seems to have deleted her google maps business page. The majority of my complaint is related to a PA-C who I believe no longer works there. That said I hope Dr. Park has since changed her ways, and actually meets with patients past the initial diagnosis, rather than pawning rhem off on a PA-C, never to meet with that patient again. 2023: My main issue with Dr. Park is not seeing Dr. Park. Her website describes all of her accolades, but you only see the rude, condescending PA Jennifer DeGuzman once diagnosed. Dr. Park will help with the initial setup of establishing you as a patient but then you will never see her again. I requested to have at least an annual follow up with Dr. Park but was denied. I was a patient for a year, and decided I wasn't getting quality care from the PA. As a patient, you feel like Jennifer is just checking off boxes, and not actually seeing you as a person. She doesn't care about you as a human being. I was suffering depression after my aunt died, and was late/almost missed an appointment when Jennifer starts out the call with "You really need to work on being on time" and I couldn't even get a word in edgewise to say "my aunt literally just died". This is just one example of how she only saw me as how I affected her, her time, and her day, and had little concern for what I was experiencing or going through as a patient. Rudeness is only one factor. Being on controlled substances, there are insurance rules about how they are filled. Jennifer consistently filled my prescriptions incorrectly. It would cause continuous frustrations month after month. At times I would have to go without meds because it wasn't filled at the correct dosage and only was half a month's supply. At other times she would overfill my dosage to have more leeway in my fill time, but then lied to Dr. Park about why my dosage was higher and acted like I was dumb/confused/misunderstood. Finally, you can tell they don't care much when their patients depart. I canceled my last appointment and decided to leave. Somehow the gabapentin (a non-controlled substance) would still be filled for 3 months after I had left, even though I hadn't given them the updated bloodwork and hadn't met with them in 3 months. They just blatantly weren't paying attention and continued to fill Rx's for a patient they weren't actively seeing anymore. Quite frankly, I'm impressed patients stay. If you choose to go to Dr. Park for your sleep health needs, she will help you get a diagnosis. But beyond that, be prepared to deal with PA Jennifer Deguzman, who severely lacks bedside manner. read more

Dr. Margaret Park is hands-down one of the best doctors I've ever worked with. The entire team at Chicago Sleep Health is kind, responsive, and genuinely committed to helping patients--but Dr. Park in particular has absolutely gone the extra mile for me. I've been her patient since 2021, and I honestly don't know where I'd be without her. I have very severe sleep apnea and narcolepsy, along with a long list of other health conditions that make my case exceptionally complex. Most doctors can't keep up, but Dr. Park not only remembers everything I'm dealing with (better than my own family!), she brings it all together with incredible skill, clarity, and compassion. She's always taken the time to listen to me, explain options thoroughly, and include me in every part of my care. Just a few examples of what she's helped me navigate: - 8 sleep studies (and counting) - 7 sleep medication changes + supporting me through over 50 other med shifts - Multiple rounds of insurance appeals - Various anxiety and mental health crises (with care, I might add) - CPAP and BiPAP therapy at nearly every pressure setting even when I went and complicated mask options with a septum piercing (maybe don't try that) - Evaluating options and walking through the process of getting a dental device for sleep apnea - Multiple rounds of documentation for my workplace accommodations and FMLA - Gastric bypass surgery I also want to highlight something that's rare and important: I'm a morbidly obese patient, and Dr. Park has never made me feel judged or blamed for my weight. Unlike so many other doctors I've seen, she doesn't treat weight as a moral failing or as the only thing that matters. She's talked with me in real, practical terms about how extra weight can impact things like my blood pressure, heart function, and throat tissue and what gastric bypass would do for my sleep. I trust her because she tells me the truth without sugarcoating it and without shame. Yes, her schedule is very busy. She's an awesome doctor, what do you expect? But in my experience, when something has been truly urgent, she's found a way to see me sooner. More importantly, she's exceptional at responding to messages: usually within 24 hours, always thoughtful, and always thorough. She never brushes off concerns or leaves things unclear. If you want a sleep doctor who's knowledgeable, compassionate, and actually pays attention to all aspects of how your health impacts you, I couldn't recommend Dr. Park more highly. read more

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make the appointment because a business trip came up. The office sent me a reminder 1 hour before the their cancellation policy required a $50 fee. This appointment was booked in Feb for June due to lack availability. The appointment was as a video session of 30 minutes. My dentist gives better notice than this. This was my first time using this clinic. I wont re-schedule. If this is the way I am treated at this point, there is no reason to continue engaging this practice. read more

I am a current patient of Dr. Park, and she has been treating me for over a year now. Dr. Park is an outstanding, caring, warm and compassionate physician. She really takes the time to get to know her patients and gather a full history in order to provide the best possible care and to find the right treatment plan. Her RN, Mindy is so sweet, and her entire staff goes the extra mile to get insurance to cooperate. I honestly wish all of my physicians practices could be like this! read more

Dr. Park is by far the greatest doctor I have ever seen. She is a dream come true and honestly saved my life. I came to her in December 2016 desperate for answers about my constant exhaustion and lack of refreshing sleep, and from the moment I sat down with her for my initial consultation I knew she was special. She is the kindest, most caring and genuine doctor I've ever met. She treats me like a human being who has the agency to make her own health decisions and never pushes anything on me or makes me feel like I'm just a paycheck. She explains everything - medications, side effects, the meaning of a diagnosis, options for treatment, and so on - in great detail (and in layman's terms) to makes sure you really understand something before she moves on from it. She lets me choose how I want to be treated and simply guides me in the direction I want to go. Most importantly, she believes everything I say. Being a woman with serious health issues, I've seen more doctors than I can count who write me off as being dramatic or hyperbolic or just plain wrong - Dr. Park never ever does that. When you tell her something, she believes you and will take you seriously. Further, she really fights for her patients when it comes to insurance stuff and her nurse Mindy is on top of all of that right from the get-go. She is always quick to send in pre-authorization forms, appeals, paperwork, etc., and Mindy works hard to stay on top of stupid insurance companies who think they know better than a doctor. Dr. Park is also incredibly attentive and responsive to her patients, both in-office and via the online portal she uses to message people back and forth. She responds to my messages on nights, weekends, and I've actually called her on a Saturday crying because of a pharmacy issue. She goes above and beyond for her patients, myself included, and makes me feel like I and my health genuinely matter to her. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Park and her whole staff. They are the best, hands down, and if I ever move away from Chicago and can't see her I don't know what I'll do. read more

Margaret Park is for me a life saver. Sleep has been one of my biggest issues since being diagnosed with PD. She worked with me through the uncovering of PLMD, then sleep-apnea, on to narcolepsy with cataplexy, some RLS - PLMD and RLS are different. More than all that what sets her apart is her willingness to be there for you, and go the distance. If your sleep issues are as deeply embedded as mine were it took literally years to figure it all out. I would strongly recommend that the person who did not have such a great experience with her go back, and give it another shot. Margaret Park is head and shoulders above others that I saw. Sleep is a complicated, messy subject. It is not clear how we accomplish good sleep. Each person is different. There were times of frustration, but one thing I saw constantly in Dr. Park was that she was not giving up on me. I really do believe that persistence, over years is one of the big reasons I'm able to have a life today. If she is telling you that you need to change things about your sleep environment, there is a high probability that what she is suggesting is exactly what you should do. For as long as she's willing to keep putting up with me, I'll keep seeing her. Mine was not an easy case, and she stuck with me. read more

At first I thought against reviewing, but after reflecting upon my sleep recovery journey and still feeling deeply disturbed about my experience, I feel the need to inform people what they are getting themselves into before coming here. I chose to visit Margaret Park's office because I could not find many reviewed sleep specialists online, and even though she only had 2 reviews at the time (2018) I figured that is better than nothing. So the pros: Her staff are very friendly, and they do indeed to care about your needs being covered by your insurance. Margaret Park does seem to be very knowledgable in her field, however, this is greatly hindered by her arrogance in what she knows. I will get to that soon. The cons: It will take you 6 months to get an initial appointment. If you are lucky you will get pulled off the wait list at random if someone bails on their appointment, which happened to me. So about 4 months into my wait I see Dr Park, who listens to my situation for literally 5 minutes before dumping a diagnosis on me which had nothing to do with what I was experiencing. The rest of the appointment was spent in vain trying to get her to listen to the complete story, which she refused to acknowledge. This is where the arrogance comes in, as she took 5 minutes of information to categorize me with what other patients may have experienced. Her methods of treatment were to give me hormones or steroids, and when I insisted this is extreme and not the proper diagnosis, she sent me off with a lab prescription "to see who is right". Nearly 6 months of waiting for shit treatment and a lazy diagnosis. Instead, I went straight to another sleep center where I was seen within ONE WEEK, and got a proper diagnosis and treatment from a specialist who is willing to LISTEN to the patient. (For those curious, Park diagnosed a limb movement disorder for what I later confirmed at this other practice to simply be delayed awakening insomnia - treated by cognitive behavioral therapy, not steroids.) So, will you get quality treatment from Dr. Park? She essentially seems very knowledgable in what she does and her staff are friendly, but since she has so many patients, she may lump you in with a popular diagnosis, and defend it by saying she knows more than you, even if you know your own body. read more
