The doctor didn't listen at all. He was more concerned about billing than treatment. I had told him that I tried CBT-I already and it failed, and what did he do? He prescribed me more CBT-I. It was in the goddamn referral that CBT-I had already failed. What a waste of my time and money. He also made a blanket statement "medication is never the answer." Not, "medication is a last resort", not "medication should not be used lightly," but "medication is never the answer." That's a religious statement, not a scientific one. When I mentioned my experience with CBT-I and how it made my sleep problems worse, he said he wasn't an expert on CBT-I. He literally claimed ignorance on a treatment he just tried to sell me. It would be as if an orthopedic surgeon had said "I'm not an expert on physical therapy." At that point you'd seek a different surgeon. I had to pry a sleep study out of him, he was resistant to even giving me a sleep study, saying I should retry CBT-I, a treatment that had already failed me once before. I ended up canceling the sleep study and saught treatment elsewhere with better results. I decided that given how poorly the doctor had listened during the session, I didn't trust him to actually interpret the results in good faith. read more

First and foremost--my sleep is better than it was when I first came here. In the end, that's the only thing that really does and should matter to me. I was able to use techniques of sleep compression to readjust my body clock, and the results have been good. I should say something about my incredible sleep dentist, Dr. Gail Henry who made my mandibular advancement device. She is super-smart and competent but also warm and generous with her time and attention. Great Doctor. My CBT-therapist Dr. Scherer was helpful in introducing me to CBT-I and, as I said earlier, the overall benefit I received from him and this program was significant, and I'm grateful for that. Dr. Scherer himself I've found to be cold, a bit stiff, without a whole lot of relational or empathic ability. read more

I have used the center for sleep medicine in the Naperville and Glenview locations for many years. I always get good service. Dr. Jazerli has been my doctor all this time. He is clear, very knowledgeable, and responsive. I recently had to update my sleep study at the Glenview location. The tech there, Christina, was very good, explaining all that she does, very responsive, and thorough. She's also very friendly and easy to talk to. My experience there was very good. read more

This place is the worst! They are constantly changing doctors, I wonder why. trying to get ahold a real person is practically impossible, if you cant do it through the automated system, forget it. They call constantly to get you to order supplies(gotta chase the big profit items) and if you dont answer they call sometimes twice a day or more. If i need supplies I will call. now when i did order supplies they took my order(automatically, never a person) and the supplies never came, no one called to explain why, they just dumped me. The doctor told me i may have to come in for another study due to changing to Medicare, but if there was a problem you would think they would call?? this was 5 months ago. This review is for the accommodations and testing for the overnight study. I was referred to The Center for Sleep Medicine by my sleep specialist. The Centers have various locations, but I chose the downtown location due to proximity to my job. I have been here on two occasions, once to get a regular sleep diagnostic (determine the quality of my sleep and to identify and potentially rule out sleep apnea/restless leg syndrome, etc.) My second visit was an overnight and daytime study to get a clearer picture of my persistent drowsiness during the day. Because overnight sleep studies are not often routine procedures, I cannot speak to overall service but in the two times I've been here my technicians have been generally nice and good at answering my questions. I'm reviewing more for the accommodations as while the being hooked up to wires is generally unpleasant, that is part of the process. The room is pretty similar to your average hotel room. They do not have wifi, but for my overnight and daytime study I came equipped with DVDs/Downloaded shows from Netflix, reading material, etc., so this wasn't a huge issue for me. The room is pretty cold, but they have a baseboard heater which helps some. They also have a 3-speed fan if you run warm in the night. There are some outlets free to use. I chose the ones furthest from the equipment and with both the fan and lamp plugged in I still had two outlets free for use. If you're plugging in your phone while using it, it helps to have a very long cord otherwise you'd just have to sit it on the nightstand. The bathroom is spotless and shower area has soap and shampoo (helpful to get the gel from the electrodes off when done). For the overnight/day study they provide a breakfast (oatmeal, granola bar, choice of juice). If you have dietary restrictions it's best to bring your own shelf stable breakfast/snacks. They also have a fridge if you're like me and have low sugar meal replacements so that's nice. Lunch is also provided, on the day I was there it was Jimmy John's- I can't say if it's always the same place. You can get a sandwich and chips. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. They fax my results back to my doctor immediately. The room is more comfortable than being in a hospital. Wifi would make it 5 stars for me, but my stay here far exceeded my expectations! I was very hopeful for a good experience, as I've had insomnia for many years. The primary doc who you work with (Dr. Scherer) is kind, yet lacks empathy. Is focused on "what the research says" vs listening to what the client says. The lack of empathy and the lack of good listening is really frustrating when you're trying to find someone who is helpful. I wasn't planning on writing a review until yesterday- when I received a bill for a no show fee. I had been terminated from services by Dr. Scherer, and had never had an appointment scheduled. The notification I received didn't even mention the fee was for a no show fee. I had to call and inquire. Be really careful. Some people just go ahead and blindly pay bills because it's easier than calling. So, the lack of transparency in billing, as well as the insensitivity of the providers = 1 Star for me. If empathy is not your thing, and you're into scientific research studies, you may enjoy this place. read more

HORRIBLE. Go elsewhere. Customer service does not exist and I say this based on years of consistent frustration and wasted time. They do not respond to emails or phone calls (no matter how big, small, or urgent your matter is) unless you are calling to pay a bill or make an appointment. I have voiced my concerns for years and no one has ever responded. The only reason I have stuck with them is because I like my doctor and they are in-network with my insurance. Whether I have a cPap question, need new supplies, or have a medical issue, they are unresponsive. It has gotten so out of hand, I (for the first time ever) reported their supply arm today - Advanced Health Services, Inc - to the Better Business Bureau. I regret ever using this practice. There is zero communication and no way to contact "your" doctor because you do not have one. I have never seen the same person twice and only once have I seen a doctor. There's no instruction about any of the treatment, and you go six weeks between appointments, which is an extremely long time if you are not sleeping well to wait to fix something. When I went to their portal to see my records there's incorrect things in my file which make me wonder if fraudulent things are going on at this practice. read more

I originally went here back in March. I had 2 sleep tests & Lauren Lesniewski casually said I could try another test to get a diagnosis or just essentially give up & maybe try again another time. That should have been my first indicator of what was to come. The whole reason I came there was after being referred by my doctor who ran every test possible & couldn't explain why my fatigue was so bad I had to take a leave from work. Anyway, I insisted on a 3rd test & eventually was given a diagnosis & medication. Meanwhile, the disability asked for Lauren to fill out a form which I had faxed to her & she claimed she never. I ended up coming up to the office & handing a printed copy to an employee & later told her specifically who I gave it to & she still claimed she did not get it. Eventually it did magically show up though. However she did not include the test results or my diagnosis or my medication which caused me to be denied. I appealed it & was denied again because they could never get in touch with her. I did let her know they have been calling & even asked was there a direct line where they could reach her. She stated the general office number would work. They still never got in touch with her which resulted in another denial & to this day I have not been paid because she has not cooperated with the disability company. She also never provided the additional details I asked her to provide regarding how my diagnosis effects my ability to work. In addition to the disability company not being able to reach anyone, neither could I. The only people I can ever get are the scheduling department & they always say there is no availability for over a month out. I tried messaging Lauren on the portal many times but she eventually stopped replying. She told me later there were system issues that prevented her from accessing it. It must have lasted for months & months then! Also, every-time I need to refill my prescription I have to have the pharmacy send a request & wait. Last month during an appointment I mentioned this & she said she would put it on auto refill. The pharmacy has since let me know this is not possible due to it being a controlled substance. This month I had the pharmacy contact her Thursday & there was no reply. I had them do it again on Friday & no reply. I call the office twice & no answer. Here is it Sunday & I have now gone 3 days without taking my medicine which I have never done before. I am barely able to function without it & am at the mercy of Lauren to fill it so that I can feel like a normal person. Not only this, but when I first started the medicine I had horrible stomach issues, after the first month I asked about it & she said I just need to eat when I take it. That would have been great to know upfront! While Lauren has been perfectly nice each time we have had an appointment, there seems to be a lack of real care or overall concern. These are two things that I find to be crucial for doctors to have to be efficient. She appears to be concerned when we speak but there is no follow up in regards to anything I ask to take place. This is not very professional in any environment, but when you are sick & trying to get help, it is even more necessary. I don't know if it's a heavy patient load, being under-staffed, poor training or what, but she does not seem invested at all. I have had so much trouble with so many things it has really made dealing with this clinic so difficult. As if never being able to reach anyone is not bad enough. I am definitely glad to have been diagnosed & the sleep study staff was very attentive. However all of these additional hurdles leave me unsatisfied to the point that I am now looking for another clinic. Do not recommend! read more

After some years coming here for treatment and fitted for an oral appliance that does not reach even 75% efficacy, I was told to "Just have surgery done." After speaking to one of their surgeons, Dr Thomas, he gave me a thorough run down on what he planned to do, which was to go in and do a lot of snipping of my abnormal polyps, soft palette and reshape it. He gave me a 65% chance or curing my sleep apnea. From what I've drawn from my own research (after searching the surgical procedures he quoted) and from what I've heard from people I know that have had similar procedures, 65% was too much risk (after surgery complications, issues returning (possibly worse than before) and a really iffy chance at being cured. Even 85% would have been more acceptable. I would have I decided to not go with it. One device in particular that I've read about and has been recommended by a PT friend of mine is the ALF (advanced light wire frame) or the Nova device. They work to correct the misalignment of cranial facial bones that in turn correct a lot of issues that stem from it, including sleep apnea. When I mentioned it to Dr Schwartz, he laughed it off. Apparently he doesn't know much about it and I felt as if he was trying to keep me from using a device that would take away my business. It's a shame because it could help a lot of people that need it and eventually get them off depending on machines to keep them breathing. Whenever money supersedes my needs as a patient, then it's time to walk. read more

This center used to be top notch about 15 years ago. Currently, however, they have rude people managing their phones, no timely callbacks or communication, and unprofessional practices internally. I have had an issue with their portal not showing the correct CPAP supplies to order for months now and have contacted them six times about it with no resolution. I have switched to Northwestern for care. Please do not use this provider unless you want to be perpetually frustrated and confused. read more

Following an unreliable at home sleep study, I had a sleep study at this center on Jan 20. I never write reviews, but given how terrible this experience was, I feel inclined for the sake of other future patients I checked in at 9:45pm (I was a few minutes late) and was met with a very cool reception from the technician. Not rude, but certainly not attempting to create comfort and ease. The study began at approximately 10:30pm, and I watched TV until around 11:30pm. I wasn't tired, but i felt like the pressure was on. At 11:30 I asked to go the the bathroom and I could sense mild annoyance from the technician at that point. And things only worsened from that point onward. As the night wore on the technician had ZERO patience, empathy or understanding. She pestered me about how often I needed to use the bathroom (picture someone berating a child ... a very patronizing / condescending tone), told me that I wasn't trying to sleep, insulted me by "reminding me" that the purpose of the sleep study is to sleep and my constantly moving was preventing me from sleeping. Thankfully, the entire thing was recorded. NOTE TO DOCTORS AT THIS CENTER - please review this recording and judge for yourself. During my second or third request to use the bathroom (there was four times in total) she snapped: "I'm going to tell the doctor that you wouldn't turn your reading light off and try to sleep". Keep in mind that this was at only about 1:00am and my approach to sleep is to not turn off light and attempt to sleep until I'm tired. I am currently receiving sleep therapy from Dr. Scherrer, whom I think is extremely sharp and insightful. At his advice, I read or do something that is equally distracting and non stimulating until sleep onset occurs. I had to explain that to her which only increased my anxiety levels. I wasn't tired. I told her I am following the doctor's instructions for what to do when I can't sleep. I reminded her that she is not a physician, or a sleep therapist, and she should trust that those people in her office have been treating me and that I am following their instruction. I mean, even if I wasn't following their instructions, I'm not sleeping because I have INSOMNIA!!!! The whole reason I am there to begin with. i ended up sleeping from about 4:00am to 5:15am. I consider that success from the perspective of Dr. Gupta having some data from which to draw some conclusions on what physiologically might be contributing to my insomnia. That experience set me back considerably. As an insomniac, you feel great shame, disappointment and frustration that you can't accomplish a basic human activity as natural as eating or breathing. Being told that I'm just not trying hard enough is crushing defeat. I would like two things from their office: 1) an apology for my mistreatment; and 2) assurance that this situation will be addressed with the technician and proper recourse (at a minimum training on patient management and care... like empathy 101 or something) and education on insomnia so that no other patient has to undergo the stress and anxiety that I experienced. I cannot see how anyone, let alone someone with insomnia, would feel comfortable with that kind of confrontation or feel comfortable sleeping for that matter. read more

This place has gone downhill badly. I've been a patient for almost a decade, and would have given a great review in the past. But, no longer. First and foremost, I can't get them to return a phone call. They simply will not do it. If I'm lucky enough to get someone on the phone when calling, it's more of the same, "we'll have someone call you back" (never happens). Once in a blue moon, I'll actually get someone on the phone that can help me, but, lately, I think the odds are about the same as winning the lotto. Their portal is a cruel joke. I go to order supplies. It takes my order. The supplies never come. I do that again. It takes my order. The supplies never come. Over and over. After pulling teeth to get through to someone over a period of weeks/months, I'm told that the reason they won't resupply me is because the prescription ran out. Does the portal tell me that? No. Do they email me to tell me that? No. I'm left waiting months for supplies that will never come. Why does their portal take the order if they have no intention of filling it? Why won't they contact me to clear this up? Why just leave me hanging, expecting supplies to come, and never contact me to fix the problem? Ugh. Finally, that hurdle gets cleared, and I get an order done. But, the next time I want to place an order, I'm locked out of the portal altogether. After weeks of trying to get through to somebody on the phone to find out what's going on, what's their answer? They won't send sleep supplies to me me because I owe money. Did the portal tell me that? No. Did they email to tell me that? No. Was there some way I should/would know that I owe money? No. Did they call me? No. Why even have a patient portal if you don't have a system to even take a payment via the portal, nor even tell me on the portal that I owe money? So, anyway, "How much do I owe? I'll pay it right now." Answer: "The system won't take a payment because it says you already paid in full." OK, so why am I locked out due to non-payment, if you're saying I'm already paid in full? How does that make any sense? They acknowledge the problem, so, they say they unblocked me from the portal. So, I try again, and no go, I still can't order anything. And, after more weeks of begging for a call back on the phone, and no phone calls come, I'm still left with no sleep supplies. And, I should mention that on one of my re-supplies (from the past, before they went downhill, during their decline), they sent me a "blind swap" (not the part I ordered, but a different part that I didn't order). No, it wasn't a system error. They claimed that they thought I'd want the part I didn't order, and wouldn't want the one I did. And, a different time, I received a defective part. No big deal, so I assumed. But, when I contacted them to get it replaced, they said that all sales are final. How does that work? Do they really think they can just send defective medical supplies, and not have to take it back? They said that it's in the stuff I signed, that all sales are final, so it's my problem. But, after arguing that, legally, they don't get to just have me sign away my right to have equipment that works correctly, they agreed to replace it. But, I'm just not sure why it's such a battle. If you want to be in the mail-order business in the USA, sorry, legally, you need to stand behind your product, and replace defective stuff. Anyway, little did I know, but all of that was just a sign for things to come. After this, they went from marginal customer service, to non-existent customer service. I'm definitely contacting my insurance company to see what they can do about this horrible business. And, I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau. I can see from the Yelp ratings that others are giving them, I'm not alone here. They have zero customer service, and really don't appear to care about patient health. Others say the exact same thing about their non-existent customer service, and their dismal ability to provide supplies, and their unwillingness to return phone calls. It's been months, I have asked for escalation, only to be directed right back to the same front-end process and unresponsive people. None of this would even need to happen if these people would just return phone calls. No sane person expects systems to work correctly every time. This is life. There are technical problems, that's the way life is. But, when this is the way you treat customers, it goes much deeper than just problems with the system. Now it's problem with your people, and that's why most of your Yelp reviews are 1 star. read more

The short story is this. they tested me for sleep apnea, told me I had it. Spent a lot of money to treat it, and they were wrong. Here's the long story. The day I was going to get tested for sleep apnea , I came down with a bad cold. I called to say I wanted to cancel my appointment. I was told I had to pay for a same day cancellation, so I went. As I was getting hooked up I told the technician I was really sick. I got no response. After a horrible night sleep, I was unplugged and released. Soon after I went to meet with the doctor. She told me that I definitely had sleep apnea. I told her I was sick when I was tested. She told me that it didn't matter. I had it. I was set set with a CPAP, which I had to pay a large portion for. After trying to sleep with it for about a month, I went back to say I couldn't sleep with it on. She sent to to get a mouth appliance made. This was very expensive. I used it for quite a while, and still didn't feel better. When I returned to the doctor, she told me that she would retest me with, and without my mouth piece. I said forget it. Just another way to scam me out of more money. Recently I went to another place to get tested, and guess what? I do not have sleep apnea. The bottom line is this. Go somewhere else. This place will swindle you out of money. read more

I started getting terrible migraines in July 2013. They were so terrible, I'd be bedridden for two to three days at a time, unable to stand noise, light, movement... anything, really. I had tons of tests done to figure out why I was getting these migraines: MRIs, blood work, CT scans... you name it, I had the test done. Nothing revealed any reason. I kept diaries of when I got migraines, what I had been doing when it started to come on, what I had eaten... anything and everything. Nothing seemed to help find the cause for the migraines. Then, my doctor recommended I go see Dr. Levy at The Center for Sleep Medicine. Dr. Levy immediately signed me up for my first sleep study so we could see if I had sleep apnea. My general practitioner believed that the migraines were causing me to lose precious restful sleep, which in turn would cause more migraines. Turns out, after my first study, I found out I do indeed have SEVERE sleep apnea. No one in my family has been diagnosed with the disorder, so it was never anything I thought about. In reality, my apnea was causing my migraines. Dr. Levy and the staff at The Center for Sleep Medicine have changed my life. I have not had a migraine in over six weeks and counting! I am experiencing restful, fulfilling sleep for the first time in OVER A YEAR because of my CPAP machine. I went in for subsequent studies and was outfitted with a machine within a few weeks of finishing the studies. Jonathan, my CPAP go-to guy, is super helpful and is available to chat during the week if I need help with the machine. There's also a hotline for help 24/7 if something happens to the machine outside of business hours. My machine is practically silent and has stopped my snoring altogether, which pleases my bed partner. Seriously, this sleep study changed my life. I cannot even imagine being a person who suffers from migraines for years... I only had them for about a year and I couldn't handle it. My entire life suffered because of those headaches and I thought there would never be any way to stop them. EVERYONE should come here for a sleep study just to see what is up. You never know, your daytime fatigue, headaches, etc. could actually be caused by some form of sleep apnea. Even though sleeping with a CPAP machine can be a many-year experience, I am not at all unhappy that I will continue working with the great staff at The Center for Sleep Medicine. They are all friendly, accommodating, understanding, and they will answer all the questions you could ever have about sleep apnea, sleep disorders, and/or CPAP machines. read more

Do Not Bother trying to be a patient here. First of all it will be difficult if not impossible for you to even make an appointment. They don't want to answer their phones. If you wait on hold through their system it will hang up on you. If you call back and try again it will go to a mailbox that is not accepting messages. What a damn joke. I mean really. It's 2021. I cannot believe how many negative reviews I am seeing. Here's the thing: sleep studies are awful and uncomfortable and difficult no matter where you are. So people complaining about that are just completely unprepared for what the reality is... This was the second place I went to for a sleep study. The first place I went to was unecessarily uncomfortable. I could never get to see the doctor the doctor didn't seem to care---it was done in the hospital with zero comfort at all and very little privacy. The Sleep technician there was nice but that was truly the only beneficial part of it. ...and I was still tired. seeing Dr. Barbara Leavy completely saved me. Although the sleep apnea had in fact been treated (AFTER A LONG DELAY), they were other things that had not been addressed. Had I stayed with this other sleep center I probably still would be waiting for action and answers. I have only been to the Chicago location but I have had excellent professional experiences. Other people in my family also have sleep disorders and so between the few of us we have seen many different doctors. Dr Levy is excellent, compassionate, and reasonable. read more

It looks like someone from the sleep center has rewritten my yelp review? My original yelp review said something to the effect of my sleep study being a nightmare! The room smelt like a locker room!! The sheets and pillowcases also smelled as if they'd not been laundered at all!! I was woken up at three in the morning by the sound of one of their staff members banging cabinet doors! When I asked what the noise was? I was immediately dismissed as if nothing had happened at all? I called to speak to the physician and tell him about my experience, but was completely blown off! Sleep Apnea is awful. Finding out you have it is an unpleasant process. Learning that there is no cure is disheartening. Discovering that you might have to sleep with a mask on to prevent having a heart attack in your sleep is saddening. Fully understanding the cost of this treatment given the messed up health insurance system in the United States sucks! All of the above is true, but not one of those issues is the fault of the Center for Sleep Medicine, their doctors, or their technicians. The staff at The Center for Sleep Medicine are nice, courteous, and seem to genuinely care about the health of their patients. The entire process was streamlined and made simple. If you find out your need a CPAP or think you might, first read the top paragraph of my review, then schedule your appointment. I would like to personally recommend Sue, my technician, she was helpful, got me fitted for a CPAP, and patiently answered all of my questions. read more

Wow. You better be ready to have your wallet drained the second you step in here (even with decent insurance). Intro visit for $225 (essentially the doctor writing down your name and asking you what your issue is), Take-home sleep study is $250 (Mine malfunctioned halfway through and yet no option to re-try). "Follow-up" another $150 (where I was told that data from the malfunctioned sleep study was inefficient). None of these costs were presented beforehand. Just the priciest undertaking with no real answers to come of it. Would be very cautious. read more

This review is for the 680 N Lake Shore Drive Location. After an extremely frustrating sleep study experience at Northwestern Hospital (diagnosed mild sleep apnea results with 'get a CPAP' recommendation and no follow up), I decided to try again and see if I had other alternatives. I really liked their holistic approach. Yes, they do a sleep study (in my case at home - which got the same results as NW) but you see a whole group of professionals - an GP, an ENT, a Sleep hygiene psychologist and a dentist/orthotics specialist and then they work with you to find the solution. In my case, they recommended a mouth guard - easy to use, easy to keep clean, just what I needed. I went from 25-40% interrupted to sleep to always less than 10% (usually 0-2%). The front desk staff were efficient, professional and easy to work with. I found every sleep professional to be personable and best of all, they listened. read more

I went to the location at 680 Lake Shore Drive. I thought they were friendly and professional. I enjoyed meeting with Dr. Levy (very low key, gentle, lovely woman). She was thorough in her exam, had key questions re my sleep habits and listened carefully to my answers. She really listened. How many doctors do that? I sense she is truly passionate about her job and really wants to help people. Kicking myself that I didn't come here sooner!! They were very upfront about costs and checking with insurance to make sure I would have no surprises. Highly recommend. read more

The doctors and technicians here are first rate. A sleep study is definitely a very uncomfortable experience, but that's not their fault, nor is the fact that it might take a few sessions to figure out what the best treatment is. I was lucky, and a CPap machine fixed my sleep apnea problem immediately. A few years later, after gaining 20 pounds, my apnea was worse, but they simply adjusted my machine's pressure setting via the chip (didn't have to bring the machine in), so it was easy. I do have to go in for seemingly unnecessary doctor's visits, but that's a Medicare requirement, since the filters and masks and stuff is provided by Medicare and they have an interest in making sure things are working, and that I'm complying by using the machine. The bottom line, these people fixed my problem, and are always pleasant and professional to deal with. read more

Actual doctors fine but whomever runs the payments and collections area is not using ethical behavior in my opinion. 1) They checked my insurance and said before aetna would cover the overnight sleep apnea study I had to prove the apnea doing an at home study which my insurance would cover 2) I did the at home study that of course proved i had sleep apnea as their doctors already knew based on my visit and physical checkup 3) I went and did the overnight study 4) I got a bill for both the at home and overnight study because insurance did not pay. 5) Both procedures combined over $1300, I was never shown the price of procedures because it was supposed to be covered by insurance according to their billing dept 6) WORST OF ALL if I had to pay for the overnight study out of pocket the home study was completely unnecessary and I feel it was just a way to pad the bill read more

Extremely disappointing and unsatisfactory experience thus far. Specifically scheduled my appointment for their downtown location when the dentist was supposed to be working to get my "oral appliance". I rearranged my work schedule to make it work. When I show up to my appointment, the appliance was in Naperville and they didn't even have the foresight to let me know until AFTER I arrived at the appointment. Their suggestion was for me to drive 2+ hours round trip to Naperville. read more

ordering cpap supplies from this company has been nightmare. unless you remember to contact them they do not seem to have a means to follow up. even after repeatedly requesting that someone contact me every so many months this hasn't happened. i worked with another company previously that had a system to contact for reorders every so many months when insurance would pay. the customer service is terrible. once after i left a very specific message with a specific call back number hoping i could order supplies, they called my office and left a message in the president of the companies voicemail instead of the callback number that i left. they didn't take the time or care enough to get it right. they never answer the phone you always have to leave a message and hope for a return call. sometimes it takes days. read more

Started seeing these guys in March of 2015. Been suffering for years with apnea and snoring. The "sleep test" is a loaded equation. You are wired up in the absolute most uncomfortable 1. bed and 2. position where you cannot move (and on your back) so the conclusion is, for sure, you don't sleep well. No shit I don't. At no point was I ever asked about my actual sleep habits, like: Am I a side/ stomach sleeper? Restless? Move a lot? Never scoped my face either. Just threw me onto a very expensive C-PAP, which I hate and I got to pay for. Never got a proper fitting for a mask. At some point, told to buy PROVENT, which is the BIGGEST SCAM and cannot recommend those. As it turns out, I have a deviated septum as well as nasal polyps, which has certainly affected my overall breathing. I also have enlarged tonsils which need removing. All of these are PHYSICAL factors that contribute to my apnea and are being addressed by an ENT office who also are Sleep Specialists. In ONE VISIT to ChicagoENT, all of that was figured out and scheduled for sinus surgery. Next is to address my tonsils but even the sinus surgery has overall improved the quality of my sleep. In the meantime, have to go back onto C-PAP, but going to have a fitting for a PROPER mask that should work for me. I cannot recommend The Center For Sleep Medicine at all. I felt they have a One Formula/ One Solution method for what they do and are very reluctant to explore other options. The contracted company/ provider for the C-PAP was awful to deal with as well and I never felt that my concerns were ever addressed by this office. read more

Be very careful. The medical practice and the equipment sales center are essentially one and you get stuck with overpriced equipment before you know it. Of course their billing was 6 months delayed so I was stuck paying for a 6 month "lease" when I would have bought the machine at LITERALLY 1/3 the price online within a week. If I could give zero stars I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a doctors office. Rather than explaining my condition or trying to get to the underlying issue I was just offered drugs. I also had a billing issue and Dan Rheaume, the Chief Operating Officer, was extremely rude, dismissive and unhelpful. My husband has been snoring for 5 years and I assumed it was just something I had to deal with. After we hit our deductible this year we decided to give The Center for Sleep Medicine a shot. It 100% helped my husband and in turn myself. I now sleep without earplugs and don't hear a peep. It's literally the best thing that's happened to us. Honestly I feel like this place is a scam. In one location they have a sleep doctor, ENT, and dentist. I ended up doing a sleep study at home and in the clinic and then they had me get surgery for polyps and a deviated septum to cure my snoring. The surgery price was outrageous and didn't help at all. When I returned, they suggested that I get a mouth guard which was $600- more than the cost of my shoulder surgery. The mouth guard has also done nothing and when I tried to go in to make appointments- the dentist would just email me to change the strap and let him know if I need anything else. This place just seems unprofessional and scammy. I'd look elsewhere. read more
