This title company is extremely professional and diligent with fantastic customer service. We used this company with our mortgage company to refinance about 4 years ago. These folks are so thorough and wonderful. Like I stated we used them a few years ago and they did some forms for my spouse and he lost them. He went there recently and they printed some new documents and notarized them for free.This was really great. Go and use this title company because they are by the book and know what they are doing. I dealt with Lara Wood as my escrow officer on my home purchaseper seller agent request. I got letter on June that my property tax which supposed to be taken care by her had not been paid. Lara said that she would take care of it. On August. I got another letter, that it hasn't been paid either. Oh boy! Really disappointed with her. I do hope this time she really takes care of it as she said she would. I don't recommend her based on my experience. read more

The worse title company ever existed! Stay away from them. Their fee is higher than bench mark. If the realtor uses them, you have to watch out. They ( Julie and her assistant) lack basic communication and are always rude. The paper work provided is basically a stack of blank templates. No explanation and even no show at signing! read more

Chicago Title Company was used to close my house. My direct dealings were with Danielle G. I have to say from the beginning I found that it was difficult to communicate with her and if I didn't reach out to ask there would be no follow through on her end. This was my first transaction selling a home and I would have hoped that she would have been more informative throughout the process. Needless to say the house closed. The notary said a check would be mailed overnight. Third day and I still haven't received payment. I emailed her to ask if it was sent to the correct address? Her response, "You didn't check the overnight box!" I would have preferred electronic transfer however Danielle never told me that was an option. There were three options, electronic payment, regular mail and overnight. I didn't check the box since I was told it would be sent "overnight". The box was checked AFTER I signed the paperwork with the notary and was checked "regular mail". As Danielle stated, "I didn't check the box!" If that was the case, who checked it AFTER legal documents were signed, finger printed, and notarized??? Her response, "Well most people like a check to be sent regular mail instead of overnight. read more

This letter is to inform you of the extreme lack of customer service, professionalism and communication from the Chicago Title escrow officers and assistants who were responsible for our escrow. We were to close on our property on 12/22/20. Due to the stressful nature of our jobs (frontline doctor and engineer with lots of deadlines) we only had one week to move into our property. Unfortunately, due to the lack of communication from Christina Nicosia (assistant) and escrow officer Sarah Eads, we did not close until 12/28/20 thereby losing all the time off we had. Not only did both Christina and Sarah fail to notify us that the escrow has been delayed, they did not even bother to update us about ANY of the issues that were happening with our file. They did not even care to check with the county recorder's office. Until our broker escalated this to the higher ups at CTT, we were completely out of the loop about our escrow. They both failed to send the file on time on 12/21 as promised. We found out that they did not send our file until the evening of 12/22. They failed to reveal this fact and had promised we would record by 12/22 in the evening. Within a day or two our file was pulled due to a transfer tax discrepancy. Again, Christina and Sarah both did not inform us about any of this. We found out all of this information from the higher up who was not even supposed to be responsible for our escrow. Every day that there was a delay we had to be the ones to email Christina or Sarah. They did not bother to pick up the phone and give us a call or the county recorder's office. They did not bother to lift a finger to send us a quick email update about what was going on. Thanks to the higher up we were able to get all this information. It is very intentional on both Christina and Sarah's part that they did not notify us about anything. They simply did not care to even try to do their jobs. We thought we would have our keys in hand before Christmas so we could celebrate the holiday in our new home and quickly move before going back to work. It is very disappointing that not only did we lose our days off because of this, but it is also disappointing to see what kind of people get hired at CTT. It seems like the interview process is not stringent enough to select employees who care to even do their jobs. We got delayed in our closing by one week and because of Christina and Sarah we have to struggle to move. Because some people didn't do their jobs the week of Christmas, we had to work double (go to work and come home and work again) to get our move done. This is really a bad situation to put buyers in. We are writing this letter to bring awareness to future buyers and to corporate about the bad employees working (or not working). Also, CTT has the highest fees that the buyer has to pay compared to other title companies like ORTC or fidelity. You would think that higher fees equal better service, but our experience has been the worst it could possibly get. We would never recommend CTT to anyone else because of this horrifying experience.. read more

This is the worst company to do business with there escrow officers are so bad. Just had a call from one of them to say this file is to hard and we should not have to work this hard The other issue is this escrow officer does not speak English or has a hard time doing so. We're should of closed two days ago we sent the escrow officer files over the past month and every time we get a call I do not have these files do we send again then three days later they email I do not have these files. We work with escrow company everyday and have never see. How bad this company is and will never use them again. No matter what your real estate agent said to you on you need to use them you tell them no we want a different company. read more
