Beautiful stadium! The younger staff working the hot dog and sausage stand could use a little more training. Our food was served barely warm, almost cold. The bathrooms could also use more frequent cleaning, especially during busy events. Other than that, it's a really nice stadium and a great place to catch a game. read more

I returned for our first White Sox outing in, wow, 4 years already. Pope Leo has also apparently brought some luck to the South Side, and the Sox are currently in 1st place. In some 60+ years of watching Chicago baseball, I came to this park for the very first time that I can recall with the Sox in 1st place, woot woot! How do I rate the Chicago White Sox? I'll first have to admit that I'm basically a fair weather Chicago fan and only pay attention and support the team if it's winning and in the race. So, I'll just say the Sox are nice to have around, and having 2 Chicago teams is better than having 1, but they will admittedly always be in the shadow of the Cubs. In my lifetime, the Cubs have been winners more often than the Sox. But beyond that, Sox management has never really invested in star talent nor fan appeal around their park. Even when they are winning, they never have a true sellout crowd. Having said that, the Sox are nice to have around because if I want to see a Major League game, good tickets are always readily available and reasonably priced to see the team and whomever they're playing. Rate Field is also ok as a major league venue and they have outstanding food options to boot. I just bought 7 tickets for a family weekend outing at Rate Field and only paid $29 per ticket on StubHub for right field upper deck section 522, row 3. You can hardly get 7 seats together at Wrigley Field on a weekend and it would have cost at least $100 per ticket as well. The Sox are winning these days, and this year they have 3 players making the 2026 AL All-Star team, namely 1B Munetaka Murakami, 3B Miguel Vargas, and CF Tristan Peters. They're the big surprise team in the Majors this year, and I really don't know how they did it after losing a record breaking 121 games in 2024 and 102 games in 2025. On this Sunday, 7-12-2026, they handily beat the Oakland A's 9-1 and completed a 3 game sweep. Go White Sox, and best of luck for the rest of the season! read more

I went with a friend to the first 100 levels for Lucky's Korean Corn Dogs. He got the Tonkatsu. It was crispy, very juice and well breaded. It didn't taste a ton like tonkatsu, but it was decently filling for the price. Although I didn't order much more food, and I'm not a drinker, I held off the larger exploration of food because the Sox were up 3 in the fourth or fifth inning. Super cool experience to see a White Sox game. This was actually my first experience going to a MLB game. The weather was great, and the seating location was great. The Sun was out, but it was luckily not directly on us. This weekend was actually a pretty special event. The Sox had a 20 year reunion of winning the World Series. They had the old team come out and the pitcher of 2005 team did the ceremonial first pitch. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they put a chain around the wheelchair seats and a worker needs to open it every time you want to come and go. There are a ton of food options. The stadium was very clean but it's an open air stadium so make sure you get something in the shade. Clear bag policy. We tried to walk to a different level during the 7th inning stretch and the security guards wouldn't let anyone walk around on a different floor. Although Im a Cubs fan, I have no animosity towards the White Sox and their fans. I go to a game yearly with my son, whose a huge White Sox fan. Its a good chance to bond with my kid. We attend other sports live, too. I must say many things are better here than on the North side. The food, the beer selection, the ease of getting here and exiting the ballpark and driving away. The women? They are cute here but, also at Wrigley. Im not gonna say the team obviously ,but the general experience here is better. Came on the 4th of July and how fun it was! This was my first time going since becoming in a wheelchair and was a bit nervous. I was pleasantly surprised! The stadium was pretty accessible! There is only one accessible entrance so that takes a while and because of that we missed the giveaway (we were there way in advance). The seats were great in section 121. So much food! I went with some chicken fingers & fries and also some rainbow ice cream. The bathrooms were as clean as can be. With only one handicap stall of course there's always a wait. Wow what a major problem buying tickets through Ticketmaster and the white Sox website. I purchased tickets on 5/31/2022 for the June 12 2022 game. 9 tickets total for my children and grandkids can go to the game with me. I transferred 6 tickets to my daughter and two to my son. I kept the last ticket for myself. Had my so. Not been a procrastinator this could have been a bigger disaster. My account without any notification or credit to my credit card for the tickets to the game were canceled and resold. When I called the ticket office on Sunday I they said my tickets were good and my son could pick up his two at gate 4 ticket box. When my daughter her husband and four children tried to enter the park they were told the tickets were not valid So instead of spending the quality time with my children and grandkids I got to spend at the box office fixing this situation. Yes we got good seats to the game but it's not how I want to spend my valuable time with my family at a box office. I would love a good explanation for the lack of notice lack of attempt to contact me as the purchaser of said tickets. And why would you resell the tickets and never refund my credit card. Really people from out of town don't buy tickets to White Sox games? You had plenty of time to validate the purchase. This was embarrassing for me and my family. read more

An Elvis ( impersonator obviously) mini concert and fireworks after the game made for an amazing , albeit late night and good value . We haven't been to a White Sox game in a very long time, and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed myself. I was impressed with all the different choices in food and drink at the ballpark. From cuban sandwiches to italian ice, there truly is someting for everyone. We started off in the revolution brewing #SoxSocial tap room with hand made barbacoa and chicken tacos and margaritas. The tap room has a nice balcony area where you can stay and watch the game if you want to instead of your seats. If you download the MLB app, you can get a free White Sox hat in the tap room too! We sat in section 151 which is down the 3rd base line. Our view was really good, but I didn't remember the seats being so uncomfortable and small. The best part of the evening? Great stadium! From the layout to the workers, everything was wonderful. There are ample food options and the service was quick. They even had an employee in the bathroom helping to get people in and out quickly. Definitely a major plus! Walking into the stadium, they had all the pictures of the starting lineup for the game. I have been here many times but only checked in this time, when I was with some old friends of mine and their kids. It was family day so we had a good deal on seats. My friends do not eat meat (or they eat only certain meat) so the pizza, fries and ice cream were good options for them. I like the VAST variety of beers now as I can't stand Bud light! The new Kraft Kave is great for exposing local beers. The vodka and margaritas are good too, if pricey. We were too late to run the bases after the game with the kids, but they really enjoyed the batting cages. The rest rooms are well located, well staffed and clean. The lastest giveaways have been awesome (shirts, hoodies, bobbleheads) and I hate to say I sometimes come for those, but with their record they have to do SOMEthing to get folks out there. The drinks were good, we ordered the spiked lemonade. We had great seats right in front between left field third base. Unpopular opinion: There's another MLB team in Chicago besides the Cubs. Their name is the Chicago White Sox. The whole reason I started reviewing our pro sports teams is because I accidentally came across my corny ass review of the Sox, that I had no recollection of, from 2009. Reading old reviews your wrote is tantamount to looking at old pictures of yourself where you made questionable fashion choices and whatnot. And yeah, 2005 was a long time ago (their last championship) and they've been mostly a steaming pile of cow crap since, but I'm not changing my rating because I'm a die Sox white fan. Lets remember some Sox guys: Lyle Mouton, Craig Grebeck (aka The Little Hurt), Warren Newson (aka The Deacon), Esteban Loaiza (aka Pablo Escobar.) So I can be a fan of both and root for them when I see them. That being said, I've been to 3 or 4 games at Comiskey Park now (I hate calling it US Cellular field - corporate scum). With a good breeze in the right direction, I can throw a rock to the park from where I work. So I'm pretty familiar. The stadium is huge. It seat more than 40k people. Great access to the Red and Green L trains and the METRA. Parking is, well, Chicago parking - reasonable space but expensive. The stadium is easy to get into and out of, and to get to the ticket windows and gates. All are on the west side. There is no bad seat in the house. Don't worry about your view. The upper deck is really steep, so people with vertigo should stay down below. The staff is really friendly. Concessions, not bad. Sure you're gonna pay through the nose for anything, like at most stadiums. Why the hell is that? They charge out the ass for tickets. I guess they gotta gouge us to pay the millions to the players, huh? Assholes. But I digress. The selection of food and beer is actually quite good. Walk around and you'll find some nice Midwest beers. Plus mixed drinks, daiquiris and everything else. All the standard ballpark food as well. Not bad. I love the Sox organization. I'm a big fan of Jerry Reinsdorf and what the Sox have done in the community. They never stop looking for ways to win and to bring a fun product to their fans. The food and promotions at the park are among the very best. Putting up the nets is a shame. If you're worried about foul balls, sit in the bleachers or higher up in the stands. The Good Guys Wear BLACK. I have so many Great Memories of being at a South Side of Chicago Baseball Game with Family, Friends, Hoods, Ohana, .... , and more. I remember going to a WhiteSox game with my father, one of my older brothers and my twin sister. We were super young. I am sure my father felt pressure to get my sister and I home, it was getting way late on a school night. I'm sure he had thoughts or pressures to get us home. It was after the 7th inning, extra innings. We had to leave, before the game was over. We were on the 1st base side. My Brother Carlos said, hey let's wait till after 'Spot's' favorite player has his bat: Carlton Fisk. The four of us stood in the aisles, we really had to go. Our father said, Ok after 'FISKs' at Bat we are leaving. Harold Banes was on 1st Base. 2 Outs. Carlton Fisk hit a game winning Double RBI, in between Center and Right Field. We all high five'd each other. My Father, Twin Sister and Los were so Happy to see me jumping up and down like 'Tigger da Tiger' the whole way from where we stood to the car. I fell asleep smiling and I think I brought my baseball mitt to school the next day wearing the same Whitesox shirt I had on the night before. My Sister and I played 3-Way Catch with our father that next day immediately after school; in front of our Chicago house with our Father. Been To WhiteSox Games with People I love.
