By the second time I was in, Tina (the owner) remembered me. I LOVE that. Fast service (same day if needed) and excellent quality. I have a tendency to dribble coffee, get makeup on my clothes, pick up random spots flying through the air, and they all came out! Tailoring is AMAZING. I took a gown in to be shortened. Very fragile fabric and two layers. Tina did a wonderful job. Every single stitch is perfect. And, I was told it would be finished on Wednesday, but she called on Monday to tell me it was already done! (I dropped it off on Saturday). Prices are reasonable for the area.

I needed this outfit for an event and was so upset. I called on Monday morning and they apologized and promised to bring them that evening. Didn't show up for 3 days. When I finally picked them up myself, I was no longer in a hurry since I didn't need them, I was shocked how they changed the style of the pant and basically ruined my outfit. I asked the price as she was writing it up, and was kind of shocked that it was so cheap, but I had read on my neighborhood page that she was very affordable so I didn't question the $9 she quoted? I was expecting $30 or so. She did not write the price on my ticket. I came to pick it up and was shocked to be asked for $95 for the hem. She claims that's what she told me. She has an accent, but I definitely did not hear $95. If that's what she had said I would have passed and done it myself even though I didn't have time which is why I decided to drop it off. The dress itself was only $30. I was so taken aback and frankly didn't have that much on me so I said I would have to come back. She kept telling me how much work it was because the skirt was fuller, but come on. I picked up the next day and she gave me a $3 discount (ridiculous). The hem is not done well. It's pulling as the stitches are too tight and it's a little uneven. The front is slightly longer than the back. Do NOT patronize this place for alterations.

However I was out of town for a work event so I was not able to retrieve the items until the following Thursday. I went for pick up and the owner apologized and told me that it was still at the alterations place an hour away and that he would bring it in tomorrow. (A week after it was supposed to be finished). He also insisted that these items would be free of charge because of his mistake and the inconsistency. Mind you, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and a flight that leaves at 5 am. so I told him that I cannot wait until tomorrow, and the fact that it's over a week late is not my problem but his. I offered to pick it up and he said no, he would bring it to the shop. Well I get there to pick it up from the cleaners and he proceeds to tell me that it will be 88$. How? When you were late and you just said it was free. Meanwhile I told him that was ridiculous and he charged me 60$, only for me to try it on at home and see the end result (see photos attached) . I went back and showed him, he gave me a refund. But moral of the story, I went through hell and back for jeans I can't even fit anymore since they took the butt in and all I needed was the waist. And now I have to go to Walgreens and get an emergency sewing kit to fix the top od the dress. Thanks Wabash cleaners.
