We are so very fortunate to have such a great technician Ron. What was thought to be a simple "fix" has turned out to be more then one visit. this was no fault of the technician but whoever packs the parts in bags at the factory never provided everything. You assume the factory is doing a good job and the team that checks does the same thing. Unfortunately Ron was not that lucky. He just had hoped to finish the job and combine some trips in the same area. But because of Ron's great attitude and personality he is making another trip!. Thanks Ron for being so thorough and pleasant through this job. Ron did a great job fixing the panel on the stove and now has to make still another trip to replace a bulb that should have been in the package with another part. Thank You so Much for your efforts. Worse experience I ever had. I was referred to this company by my brother, the first person that I talked to was Al, according to him he is the manager, he sent a person by the name of Ron, I think I know more about appliances than him, he asked me for a 350 deposit , to buy parts because according to him he had fix his sister in laws washer witch it was the same model washer with the same problem 2 weeks prior , he made me wait 2 weeks for him to came back because he kept saying that the parts were running late, he finally came over just to find out that apparently it was not the same problem that his sister in laws washer, so now his story was that it wasn't worth to fix the washer, so after 3 weeks now the washer do not have a solution, so now he is telling me that I have to wait one more week to get 250 back , not the 350 that I gave him but 250 because he was charging 100 to let me know 3 weeks later than my washer couldn't be fix, I patiently waited the extra week to get my money back, I was supposed to get my money yesterday Friday January 9th , I just texted him today Saturday to ask about my money , and now his story is that he sent the money to my wife yesterday at 7am, he doesn't even have my wife's number so I want to know where did he send the money to, odviously he Is a lier, and he wants to keep my money, I just called Al ( the manager) again and he said that he can not talk to him until Monday lol, this company is a freaking joke, from top to bottom.. beware of their tactics , they obviously do not know what they are doing . read more

After a couple very unsuccessful tries with OTHER appliance repair companies, I called Chicagoland Appliance Repair INC. I have a very unusual issue with my washer. The technician, Abdel, came out to assess the issue. He was very good at explaining what the problem was and gave me possible solutions for me to choose from. The work will be done in the next week or so, but I wanted to post this review based on their service and quality of customer service. There are quite a few companies with similar names. We called Chicagoland Appliance to fix our 3 year old LG dishwasher that would stop working mid cycle. Was told a service technician could come that day and would call me with time. Was promptly contacted by Abdel(?) and he wanted us to run it to see if an error code would come up before he came out. We communicated by text off and on for a few days before he came out and was able to fix it (so far) by resetting it. What made this company stand out and particularly Abdel was his communication. He would respond almost immediately any time we texted. Unfortunately you don't get that very often anymore. We would call them again in the future, but obviously hope we don't need to! read more

This morning I called Chicagoland appliance and was greeted by a friendly voice that after asking a few questions, told me that the service person would call me to set up a time for service today. About an hour went by and Noor called me to let me know that he would be coming today and he was finishing up a job in Naperville. I'm in Darien about 20 miles away. More time passed and he called again to let me know that he would be here. WELL, I'm impressed. After about 20 minutes of troubleshooting, he knew the problem and replaced a relay that runs the compressor. Just like that, he cleaned up, got it all back together and running. He sensed we were stressed with the holidays upon us and reassured us that all's well. Noor is an awesome person, fantastic troubleshooter and problem solver. Never use this company! They disconnected my sensor while fixing the issue I called them for. I called them twice explaining the dryer was not drying after the repair even though it was drying beforehand. Two visit later I was told by their top tech it was the dryer vent cover and dryer duct hose that needed to be repaired. Having both fixed and still not drying I called a different company. Turns out they disconnected my sensor and two visit later didn't figure that out. So I paid an additional $175.00 to fix something they broke. Also, I was told on the phone one bad review won't change anything by this company. What kind of customer service is that? read more

I would never ever hire this company. We had a technician in June of 2022 come out to service our Wolf range, and they told us the part wouldn't arrive until August of 2022. Fair enough. Well, fast forward to May of 2023 and we haven't heard back and still don't have the missing part. I called yesterday to inquire, spoke with someone on a cellphone who said he would get back to me. Waited 24 hours still now word, so I called back. The numbers listed for all locations all go to the cellphone of the owner apparently, who was terribly rude. I asked about the missing part and he informed me they don't have it. I asked for my deposit and he said he'll get to it as he was in the car driving his wife. I said well that's fine but I've already waited almost a year to hear anything and I'm feeling like I'm being scammed. His demeanor was quite unpleasant and frankly downright rude. Called the other day to repair a washer. Repair person didn't seem to know where to start when they came. Asked me the error codes but then said that since I didn't have a picture of them they could be wrong. Told me he couldn't find the model number and since there's no model number they don't work on it. However, was happy to provide an estimate (even though he just told me he wouldn't work on it) and charge for the trip. Terrible service. read more

Called Chicago Appliance Repair several times to check out and repair a fridge. Their phone system seems to change based on the time of day. Sometimes it seems to forward onto a call center for setting up an appointment and other times doesn't ring through to anyone. We finally got someone on the phone who connected us with "their best". 30 years of experience guy. We scheduled to have him come out, but unfortunately weather and a power outage prevented that appointment from working out. Fair enough. We re-scheduled (or tried to), and this is where everything fell apart. 6 calls later to the repair man (that was now stuck in NY for over a week I guess due to storms) and the company line and we couldn't get anyone on the phone, or a firm appointment scheduled. All of those calls were over a month. So basically 1.5 months after our initial contact with this company we still had a dying fridge. We gave up. Called another company that had the fridge fixed within a week of calling them. Good luck getting a hold of these flakes. I work in IT and their website is clearly hacked as well. Going there for the first time forwards you onto a phishing scam. Subsequent reloads don't display it but may still be compromised in other ways. Beware. read more

Yesterday a technician from Chicagoland Appliance Repair in Naperville, IL returned my call about repairing my dryer. He asked how I knew the rollers needed to be replaced. I told him I opened it and can see them. He then asked if I opened it or if my husband did it. When I said I opened it he refused to even come look at it. By the way that technician spoke to me I am confident he would have scheduled if he was speaking to a man. Today i drove to an appliance supply store, picked up the $20 parts and made the repair myself. As simple of a fix it was I did not have time to do this, which is why I called for help in the first place. If you are looking to get your appliance fixed fast I do not recommend Chicagoland Appliance Repair, especially if you are a woman. read more

My 23 year old Kenmore dryer had stopped drying clothes. I was on my way out to buy a new washer & dryer when I stopped to talk to my neighbor. She told me how Chicagoland Appliance Repair had repaired her 28 year old washing machine and she was still using it. So I called them the next day. Ron responded immediately. He was just a little way away & wanted to come fix my dryer RIGHT THEN! I was at work but my dad was home so I told Ron to go ahead. I told him that although the drum rotated the dryer did not get hot. Ron really listened to me. He went to my house & replaced the heating element. When he called to tell me that the repair was complete I was able to give him my cred card info over the phone. I was blown away by the quality of the service. $200 v $1400. This was a fantastic all-around experience. Where to start? My refrigerator was on tilt, cold freezer/warm fridge, icing up over and over. I called about 830am on a Sunday morning of July 4 weekend. I immediately got a live person on the phone who asked me a few questions and told me that a technician would be there around 10 and explained the service fee. At 9:50 a guy showed up (Noor), I gave him the situation, he broke down the freezer quickly and tested things, and told me what he thought the issue was (bad part - control panel). He told me where to get the part locally and another common name for the part that would work across several brands. Using that info I ended up getting lucky with Amazon same day. He explained that it would be an easy replacement, that I would need to put in a code to get the panel to work with my fridge. For the timing, the speed of response, the understanding of the problem, the willingness to help me complete the fix, and the overall low cost same day solution, I'll definitely return to these folks. read more

My LG washing machine started acting up so I called my usual appliance repair person, and quickly discovered that not many appliance repair companies will work on LG machines. I eventually found Chicagoland Appliance Repair and they sent Ron out the next day. He diagnosed what he thought was the problem and volunteered to call LG to see if they'd cover the repair under warranty. They charged me a $99 service fee which was credited towards the cost of the repair. Ron found out from LG that there might be a quicker, and much easier way to repair my machine. He came out again and fixed it in 15 minutes! I'm thrilled! Highly recommend! Especially on LG appliances. read more
