These guys scheduled a prompt visit, came out and diagnosed the internal gas leak in my dryer, and had the report and estimate to me in a whole 36 hours. The technician did a great job writing up the diagnosis report, and the clerk gave me an itemized invoice so that I could send the bill to my home warranty. Great, impeccable service. My family has an old Coca-Cola rare soda cooler which had a broken motor and needed a coolant charge. We called roughly 10 different places which we felt would deal with this type of work - pretty much all of them either declined, said "they couldn't do this type of stuff", or just never called back. ARS called us back and quoted us an estimate, and even came down a few dollars for us. Within a day, they came out and spent an impeccable 1-2 hours slowly fixing our cooler to its proper working condition. I would give zero stars if I could. I have American Home Shield warranty on our rental unit and had a problem with my tenant's clothes washer in February. Appliance Rescue was sent out and the washer needed a part, they ordered it, and the next week came back out to repair. The guys were nice and friendly, came on time, seemed to do a good job. Then came April. The washer did the same thing. I called AHS again, and they set me up with Appliance Rescue again. The technician was over an hour late past the four hour window, and spent five minutes in her basement. He came up and said that they had put too much money into this washer as it was and that he would have to call for a second opinion and they would probably have to scrap it. Meanwhile her clothes had been locked in there over a week. He gave no other information, like how long it might take, or what steps would be next. I called Appliance Rescue and left a message to see what came next and how long it would take. No one called me back. The next thing that happened, was someone from AHS left a voice mail for my husband saying the technician said there was water and cat urine on the floor and it was a biohazard situation and it would need to be cleaned up before they would come back. What???? Of course there was water on the floor, the washer was broken. There was no cat urine. I know you were over an hour late past the four hour window given, and you probably had customers that weren't warranty repeats. I called Appliance Rescue again to find out what on earth was going on, left a message, and no one called me back again. I called AHS back and asked for a different company to come out. Sears was out this morning at 8:00 a.m. sharp, and was able to fix the washer with no issues. After the first service call, I thought very highly of Appliance Rescue, but if there was truly cat urine and a bio hazard situation, you tell a young lady a lie, that you need to scrap the washer? You can answer this with some more lies, but your first servicemen did not have an issue, and neither did Sears. I guess if you're a full paying customer you get preference, and since this was a repeat call and you weren't being paid again, it was easier to make up a disgusting lie than to actually do your job. read more

Rescue as part of the name of this company is PERFECT! Appliance Rescue Service came to my rescue when ABT (where I bought my GE Profile fridge) scheduled me for service today - four days after my call to them. Then ABT called today to tell me they would be here for the repair between 5-7pm. Really? I need my fridge repaired ASAP because I am having guests stay at my home starting Saturday. So I searched Yelp, found this company and based on the reviews called them. Rachel returned my phone call right away and scheduled me for an appointment a few hours later. Fernando and Eric came ahead of schedule AND had the good sense to stop and get some parts just in case they needed them. I had given my model number when scheduling the appointment and so glad I did. Fernando and Eric were able to repair my fridge on the spot because of their advanced planning. We live in Wildwood South in Sandwich and purchased a new dishwasher from Home Depot. They were supposed install the dishwasher but because we had plastic pipes, they would not install. I have used Appliance Rescue for other issues so I called about the install. They came out within 1 day and found that the fitting they had did not fit. This was on Friday. They went to Naperville to get the correct fitting and the following Tuesday my dishwasher was installed. The fitting was $15.00 and the install was $155. It was a little more than Home Depost cost but they wouldn't do it anyway. I am super pleased with the service! read more

Outstanding service! The owner came to my home on a Saturday (his day off) to replace a part in my fridge so that I wouldn't go all weekend without a working fridge. They were both very professional, and their follow through was excellent. He called before he came over (as requested,) and was here within the two hour window he said he would arrive. He evaluated the problem with my front loading washer, fixed it quickly, and was thorough in his explanations of what was going on. A less honest individual could have easily recommend I buy the new part in question (which I did not need.) Fernando and Appliance Rescue are an outstanding and trustworthy local business. I called them about a broken dishwasher on the recommendation of a friend from work. Not only did Fernando make time to come over on the weekend, but he was very HONEST even when it didn't benefit him the most. It turned out that their was a LOT wrong with the dishwasher. Instead of charging for an expensive repair, he honestly told us that it might be better to buy new. He charged a VERY reasonable rate for coming to look at it on a Saturday, then shocked me when he offered to apply that fee toward the instillation of our new dishwasher since he hadn't been able to fix it (which was purchased from Home Depot). This was MORE than fair, I was impressed. Prompt, courteous, reasonable rates, and HONEST... I highly recommend this company.
