I'm from Chicago and this ace is legit. Have had no such luck finding food from home. Couple places here and there. I know I know Rosatis but I didn't like Rosatis when I lived up north. Only one complaint why no Tuesday's guys. Man I drove all the way there after darts was canceled on Tuesday and it just felt like a mean spirited prank. It was enough to Piss off the Pope I tell ya. So my husband and my daughter thought this was some of the best pizza they ever had. I don't like a lot of sauce so I thought it was good. It had a lot of sauce and was messy to eat. If you like lots of sauce this is a good place for you to try. Just make sure you have lots of napkins. The flavor was great and it had a ton of melted cheese on it which I did love. The crust was thick and chewy. It was really good except for too much sauce for my taste. It is a tiny little mom and pop kind of shop and it was carryout only which was fine with us. Best Pizza. Even if it is Chicago. I grew on New York Pizza which not available any where south of the red River. So glad I tried Chicago Original Pizza. It was Great. First I would say its very good. Just short of great! Four visits and friendly staff every time for my pick up. Over my four visits I tried the sausage with onions and sport peppers sandwich, Chicago hot dog, Italian beef sandwich, thin crust pizza, and deep dish pizza. All very good and good service. Gosh, I was SO excited about this place having grown up in Chicago and loving deep dish pizza. Maybe it depends on what Chicago pizza you like. We love the flaky pastry like crust you get at Lou Malnatis and this was more doughy, but mostly it was SO salty and the sauce was sweeter and did not have that fresh tomato taste we love. It's a hike from where we live so we will probably not be back, but I will say the owners were so nice. Now the person who checked me out did not look old enough to be working in this type of establishment (I assume he is family, but eeeeek, I am a labor lawyer). I do hope they do well as I like to see family businesses make it, but this was just a different type of Chicago pizza than we get when we go back to visit. read more
