Came here on a Wednesday early night because I heard a lot of great things. There was only one other table but it was a weekday. First the decor and ambiance of the restaurant was very quaint and felt like a little old bistro you would find in a small town in Italy so I knew we were off to a good start. The server was so nice, explained a little about the menu and then I ordered. I ordered the linguine and clams sauce. Bread/garlic knots were brought to the table and was delicious, soft and right amount of garlic. The linguine was very tasty just didn't have enough clams. I would be visiting again to try other items on the menu that I'm sure will be great. read more

We ordered 4 entrees + 3 desserts. Each one was fantastic: chicken piccata, eggplant rigiollo (sp?), beef lasagna, and Joe's tortellini in pink cream sauce. WOW!! Chocolate mousse cake, tiramisu, and strawberry cheesecake were perfect to share. read more

So far I've only had pizza at this place, but every time I get it is awesome! This time I had a Joe's Special and held the anchovies and olives, cuz I don't like them, and it was delicious. Had a delivery arrived on time hot and tasty today was a beautiful day and I don't know what else to say to make 85 characters

The entrees were 10/10 we got the joes tortellini and the manicotti. The included rolls were fresh, soft, and warm but the salad could've been fresher but the house dressing made up for it. The service was perfect, fast and friendly and the owner himself was greeting everyone and refilling drinks and boxing orders with the staff. The restaurant itself was cozy with warm lighting and nice wall art added to the authentic feel. Will definitely come again. read more

We are here visiting and happened to drive by this place. I thought it looked like it could be promising so we went. It was SO GOOD!! The salads and bread were included with our entrees which seems to be pretty rare these days - the salads are pretty plain but TBH I really like that. The rolls are incredible. I can't say enough about that. The food was so good. The service was amazing. I had the joes trio or something (a sampler plate with some of three different entrees) and my husband had the ravioli with meatballs. We were both super happy with our food!! We both took home enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. If we lived in the area, I think it would be a regular spot for us for sure! But I'm sure we will be back sometime. My go to the first time at an Italian restaurant is lasagna every time. The lasagna wasn't bad but I have had better. The service was fine..I went on a Sunday night, which is typically a slow night for a lot of restaurants and was the case here too. I saw two servers, one was also the bartender. Three stars because the lasagna could have been better. The hallway to the restroom had a funky smell. Also, I didn't like there were water spots all over the ceiling. Due to serval recommendations I wanted to really love Joes but unfortunately I was disappointed. It's a small quaint place with a very old feel to it. It took some time to be seated as well as service at the table. Food came out quickly, pipping hot which is always a plus. I ordered some manicotti with meatballs and my husband chicken piccata, he enjoyed his dinner, me not so much. Food was bland. Salads before dinner were tiny and seemed as the lettuce had been sitting at room temperature, bread was served cold. Will not be a go to for Italian food. read more

My go to place for Italian, the food is phenomenal I cry sometimes due to how much I'm enjoy the creaminess and taste. The place itself is small and cute with a lot of Italian pop culture references, they give free bread and it's amazing, tried a decent bit of their menu too and haven't been disappointed once. Tried this place tonight and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors! I ordered Joe's Linguine. I love pepperoncini peppers, and the way Joe's incorporates them, with fresh pasta in a garlic white wine sauce, is divine. A perfect tart, juicy, savory pasta. Added a side of the thinly sliced Italian sausage, it was the perfect compliment. We also tried the Stromboli- large and filled with a variety of solid meats. The garlic bread is tasty too! We came for dinner and was seated immediately. The server very attentive. We think this is one of the better calamari--is was lightly breaded and the breading held on really well. The chicken parmigiana portion was huge (we ended up taking half home for another meal). Both pasta dishes were flavorful. Definitely feels very homey and homemade. I recently stopped to have lunch at Joe's Italian Bistro with a few family members, who said they have been patrons there for years. The menu was pretty extensive and had many of the classic dishes you'd expect at an Italian place (salad, pizza, pasta, Italian sandwiches). All of the pricing was pretty reasonable and after a quick look over the menu, I don't think I really saw anything over about $15 or $16 on the menu (save for some seafood). The service was pretty speedy and the food was nice and flavorful when it came out. We ordered salads, a pizza, the garlic knot bread, and pasta dishes. The downside was that the pizza was unevenly cooked and one side was a little burned (not enough to send back) and the garlic knots were cold when they hit the table. Minor issues though, which might be related to the time we visited for a late lunch. What I did really enjoy was the ambiance of the restaurant though. Most people might consider the decor cheesy and stereotypical, but I really enjoyed the detail in the murals all over the restaurant (historical sites around Italy). Overall, I'd be willing to go back, but would probably want to make an effort to go during a busier time to ensure the food was a little hotter and fresher. read more

Ive been passing this place for the past 3 and a half years. I've been meaning to check it out eventually. An old friend of mine calls me up and says to come meet him out at 717 Greenville Allen Tx. It turns out to be this very place Joes Italian. I was extremely impressed. From the start the Italian paintings of Art Deco were beautiful old school. The servers were really nice. We ordered the Joes Specialty Pizza Pie. I'm Jersey Adam in Texas and I hold a high standard of excellence in Pizza. I absolutely loved it and the price was good as well. This is my go-to Italian spot in the Allen/Plano area. They have the best sauce and garlic bread I've ever had; it's much better than most high-end Italian places nearby. There are so many menu options, I'd recommend the Chicken Parmesan, the Lobster Ravioli, and the Baked Ziti. The employees are so kind and extremely attentive; they always refill the drinks and make sure we're taken care of. They have a great lowkey and chill Italian diner vibe. Quaint mom and pop Italian. Darker environment inside, relaxing and friendly. I've been there before, but this time we went w a group of 5. We called ahead on a Saturday night and we're seated within a couple minutes of arriving. PThe food is always sooooo good! It's authentic Italian. Lots of options for all ages and a family oriented menu. The prices are fair as well. The service sometimes is a bit slow when they are busy and the booths in the corner sucks unless your a kid.
