This is the place for excellent authentic Italian fare on NTex. I think I have tried almost everything here and it is all so good. I literally have to restraint myself from coming here. My favorite orders: Alfredo pizza with ricotta and spinach The meat lasagna Calamari (ask for it cut thin and they will!) Any of their creamy pasta specials like the Chicken Florentine The veal scarparella The chicken carcofi with artichokes I always ask for things spicy and they toss the pepper in the sauce. I don't know if we went on a off day because we were a little underwhelmed with most of what we ordered. What we did like were the calamari and the sauce the lobster ravioli comes in. That sauce was so good and perfect for dipping bread. Even though it's lobster ravioli, it has chunks of the fake crab meat/sticks in it. That part of the dish was not good at all. The alfredo and spaghetti needed more salt and seasoning. The pizza crust was thin which I like, but it was soggy which I didn't like. We added spinach as a topping on the pizza and it tasted like frozen spinach because it had a weird taste to it. Service was ok over all. Casual place that can accommodate large groups. read more

We moved to TX about 18 months ago. Our neighbor happened to be a friend of the owners, since she dog sits for them . Naturally , we paid this restaurant a visit as I love Italian food. When we got there, we did not mention our neighbor , because we did not want special any treatment or putting them on a spot. BUT , let me tell you , every one was so nice and friendly. The food was great , even my husband's dish though it was gluten free ( and its hard to make any food delicious when its gluten free !) . The owner then came to greet us and asked how we liked the food, and that's when we told him about the neighbor who suggested the restaurant t. Obviously, We have been there many times and we have ALWAYS had a positive experience and when we have company form out of town , that's where we take them. I highly recommend this Napoli's in ALLEN . Order Chicken Picata, its delicious with lots of chicken on the plate. I can never finish it. Estimate Cost: $15 Service: Staff was polite, courteous and fast. Eatery Type: Dine In Food: Italian American with pizza & wings. Pizza - thinner crust was delish or I was starving so anything tasted good. The flour mix was pleasant with the right amount of gooey, melted cheese and toppings (pineapple, onions and pepperoni). The pie wasn't overwhelming with bread flavor or with lots of meats. Just a wonderful balance with every bite. Would not recommend to go as this pizza is meant to be eaten piping hot out of the oven. Had a few leftover slices later in the hotel and it was not as pleasant. Wings - Various flavors and Spicy Buffalo was selected. Wings had a decent kick and heft. The cool ranch dip balanced well with the spicy crispy wing as we lick the sauce off our fingers. These are just the two items I have tried. Other items I will try once I acquire my lake house near Allen will be the Lasagna, Deep dish pies, and the plethora of Pasta/Carb dishes that are offered such as the Ziti, fettucine and cannelloni. The pasta dishes do come in variant sauce flavors & meats including veal. What I will not try are the salads. I am sure they are wonderful. Napoli were out of Fried Ravioli during my visit so that is definitely on my hit list. The other appetizers I can't wait to dive into are the garlic buns, fried cheese, homemade bread and stuffed mushrooms. The lunch menu had a handful of hot subs from everyone's favorites such as meatball to the most difficult of them all, a tasty eggplant parmesean. Pizza comes, extra large sausage and mushroom, side of marinara. The pizza is decent. Not great, not bad. Just OK. Side of marinara has great flavor. Without watching too closely, and with my slice folded, I bit into something that was like a wad of sand. Blackish gritty junk that did not taste like food. Is this retaliation for me placing an order for delivery? Or is this just something wrong in the kitchen? Either way it's disgusting. I spit it out, with appetite ruined. Gag reflex. Napoli's is a great place to relax and enjoy some really good Italian food. We've been going to the Allen location for over a year now. Love that it's family owned. They offer a tasty menu that ranges from Calzone's, pasta to pizza. We've tried everything and haven't had an unsatisfactory dinner experience yet. We have eaten here before, but not in a long time. We went for early dinner yesterday- very disappointing meal for both of us. My husband's pasta was ok, but nothing outstanding. I ordered a simple dish- spaghetti & meat sauce with meatballs. We started with garlic bread- it was a very odd dark orange & didn't taste like any garlic bread we ever had. We did not finish it. My spaghetti has no seasoning- it was as if they poured tomato sauce in with ground beef/meatballs & added zero seasoning. No garlic, no salt- just blah. Note to restaurant owner- go back to having salt on your tables! No seasoning from an Italian restaurant- not acceptable. My husband agreed with my "tasteless" assessment. My husband and I ordered dinner here one night: pasta primavera for me and chicken marsala for him. COVID-19 restrictions were still set in place, so I made the order on the phone and did a curbside pickup all within 20 minutes. I didn't get a chance to go inside, but the location is located on a corner of a shopping center (Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market) on the corner of Exchange and Allen Heights. The staff was pretty nice and friendly; I appreciated that they came up to me right as soon as I pulled up, asked for my order, paid, and picked up all without having to get outside of my car. It was super easy! Also what was cool was that our pasta dishes + garlic bread was placed inside of pizza box. It was kind of fun! The pasta primavera was pretty much a fettuccine noodle with alfredo sauce and veggies like broccoli, onions, and mushrooms. The marsala had two pieces of grilled chicken on top of spaghetti and marsala sauce. While both were served in good portions, the ratio of sauce to noodles was off. There was just too much sauce. The flavor for both dishes was pretty standard as well, nothing special. The bread was good to dip the extra sauce with. Overall, this is a pretty standard Italian restaurant in Allen. Always a pleasure coming here. Today I had the Zita lunch special. Came with salad with ranch dressing. I also had a diet coke. Food was great, hot, and plentiful. Salad was a bit on the non-green side (not bad, just not so much green lettuce . I'm used to a lot of green in my salad. Different strokes I guess. Waiter was very attentive. Used to come here for pizza on Friday nights but moved away and got take out pizza elsewhere, mainly to reduce cost in the household. The owner/manager came around and spoke with us. WOW- Cannot believe it has taken me this long to review this fantastic hole in the wall Italian restaurant. When you walk in the atmosphere isn't great, BUT you can see handmade pasta being made in the back, and that's a sight unbeatable. I have been eating here for about two years now and i have absolutely no complaints about the food. Unfortunately, some of the wait staff is very condescending and almost makes you feel bad for eating there. I have overcome this attitude from some of the employees(and i say some because it is only from 2 or 3), but the owners attitude makes up for it all. He will visit your table and ask you how everything is and you can't help but smile. 10/10 would recommend if you're in the area and will definitely continue to be going back. read more

The food has a lot of flavor, wish i had the recipe to this alfredo dish i got, its not the same as other restaurants by a long shot. This is the first pizza place that i went to that also serves bread before your meal, and that also tasted really good!
